Mobile Technology-Powered Education in Developing Countries
Mobile learning, which is supported by mobile applications and devices such as smartphones and tablets, has gained significant popularity due to the widespread adoption of mobile technology and continuous improvements in internet infrastructure. This trend is reflected in the growing use of mobile learning worldwide. Research has shown that smartphones play a crucial role in promoting student development, particularly in learning and research (Esechie et. al., 2022). Compared to traditional learning approaches, mobile technology-powered learning is more flexible and convenient, as it can be conducted at any time and in any places. Students can access learning resources via mobile devices, complete assignments and tests online, and more. Existing studies suggest that most students are receptive to mobile device-assisted learning, and student attitudes, strategies, and preferences are the main factors influencing their mobile learning experience (Tang et al., 2019)
Strategies for Improving Middle School Students’ English Reading Ability in the Era of Educational Informatization 2.0
Reading is a crucial component of second language acquisition and it significantly influences students’ English literacy development. In the era of educational informatization 2.0 in China, information technology has become essential tool for modernizing education. English reading instruction today aims to improve students’ English reading abilities and meets the demands of the times. Teachers must integrate information technology and English curriculum effectively. This paper examines how to use information technology to enhance students’ English reading memory ability, comprehension ability, and reading speed. We found that most English teachers can use information technology to improve students’ English reading ability by using computers, mobile phones, and interactive all-in-one computers, and various information software such as questionnaire stars, Tencent documents, etc. English textbooks and English magazine articles can be used as reading materials. The results indicate that students’ mastery of text language knowledge has improved, and they can choose different reading strategies to find the required information, grasp the author’s writing intention, and share their own opinions. The average number of English words read by students per minute has also increased. Finally, this paper proposes some effective strategies that can promote middle school students’ English reading ability. For instance, teachers can use micro-videos and online reading tasks to improve students’ memory ability, group online text analysis to enhance students’ understanding ability, and online time-limited reading training to improve students’ English reading speed
Research on Smart Classroom Teaching Based on Learning Science
The promulgation of the Chinese Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition) has defined the new teaching pattern of core literacy orientation. The core of the smart classroom is to enable learning to take place in the classroom and nourish literacy. In the context of learning science, the design of intelligent classroom teaching problems is of great significance. Question-oriented teaching is the concrete manifestation of the smart classroom, and its significance lies in the following aspects. Firstly, it provides contextuality. Context problems, known as driving problems, will drive students’ desire to explore. Secondly, it provides a sense of meaning. Problems will make students connect with the real world, thus starting their own learning system. Thirdly, it provides integrity. Lecture-based teaching based on knowledge points often leads to the phenomenon of “seeing only the part but not the whole”. The concept-based problem will form a systematic integration of scattered knowledge. The design of smart classroom teaching problems needs to be based on learning science, in-depth analysis of learners’ characteristics and habits, comprehensive use of learning science research results, technical means and new technologies, and design reasonable teaching programs to meet learners’ needs to the maximum extent, so as to make smart classroom teaching more scientific and effective
The Promotion of 5G+VR to Science Teaching in Primary Schools – Taking “The Passage of Time” in the First Volume of the Fifth Grade of the Education and Science Edition as an Example
With the increasing attention paid to 5G-assisted teaching, there is a growing need to explore the practical application of 5G+VR in science education. This paper uses the lesson “Sun Clock” in the “The Passage of Time” section of the fifth-grade education and science textbook as an example to investigate the use of 5G+VR technology in science teaching. By taking advantage of the school’s 5G network environment and smart education platform, this study aims to improve students’ learning experience and solve the problems encountered in experimental teaching. Through the use of VR technology, students were able to independently explore and understand how light and shadow are used to tell time with the help of the “Sun Clock” experiment. Students were able to observe the relationship between light and shadow and learn how to use them to tell time by combining the explanation in VR glasses and multi-angle observation of the sundial on the equipment. The study found that the use of 5G+VR technology significantly improved students’ understanding of the content and increased their sense of self-efficacy and on-the-spot experience. The implementation of 5G+VR technology in science education has solved the problems of safety concerns, limitations of experimental materials and site, and improved students’ problem-solving abilities in practical situations. The findings of this study have important implications for the integration of technology in primary school science education

The Significance of Educational Application of Artificial Intelligence and Its Current State in China
The educational application of artificial intelligence (AI) is to integrate AI technology into the educational system including educational components and processes to achieve personalized, inclusive, and more effective education. The adoption of AI technology in Chinese education has considerably improved its efficiency and equity. The purpose of this article is to present the significance of educational application of AI and the status quo of the use of AI technologies in Chinese education
Foreign Language Speaking Anxiety and its Link to Speaking Self-Efficacy, Fear of Negative Evaluation, Self-Perceived Proficiency and Gender
This research study aimed to explore the speaking anxiety of Turkish learners of English as a foreign language (EFL) and its relation to EFL speaking self-efficacy, fear of negative evaluation (FNE), self-perceived English speaking proficiency, and gender. 293 (132 females, 161 males) university-level EFL students completed the EFL speaking anxiety scale, EFL speaking self-efficacy scale, and FNE scale. Four main findings were obtained as a result of the statistical analyses: (i) students’ speaking anxiety had a negative relationship with both self-perceived oral English proficiency and speaking self-efficacy, (ii) a positive relationship was determined between FNE and speaking anxiety, (iii) EFL speaking anxiety was found to be lower in boys than in girls, and (iv) speaking self-efficacy, FNE, and self-perceived oral proficiency were identified as meaningful predictors of students’ EFL speaking anxiety. In light of these findings, the study offers some pedagogical implications
The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Mental Health: A Review
The domains of mental health and artificial intelligence (AI) are undergoing rapid advancements, exhibiting the capacity to mutually influence one another in significant ways. The increasing prevalence of mental health illnesses has prompted the exploration of potential remedies in the field of AI, which show promise in the areas of early detection, prevention, and therapy. Sophisticated machine learning algorithms possess the capability to evaluate extensive volumes of data, including social media posts and voice patterns, with the objective of detecting patterns and symptoms associated with mental illness. This facilitates the implementation of more focused interventions and individualized treatment strategies. Furthermore, chatbots utilizing AI have the capability to deliver round-the-clock assistance to those undergoing acute distress or grant them access to therapy in cases where waiting lists are extensive. Nevertheless, it is of utmost importance to guarantee the incorporation of ethical issues throughout the use of AI in the field of mental healthcare. In order to achieve successful integration, it is imperative to address many concerns, including but not limited to privacy, bias, and accurate diagnosis. However, the convergence of mental health and AI offers a distinct prospect to transform our approach to mental disease and improve the availability of care for countless individuals globally
