A Study on Livelihood Vulnerability in Hmawbi Township (Case Study : Thayat Gone (East/West) and Ywarthit Gone Villages) (Yamin Thuzar Kyaw, 2025)
This study explores the livelihood vulnerability of rural communities and
identifies possible remedies for reducing livelihood vulnerabilities in Hmawbi
Township, focusing on Thayat Gone (East/West) and Ywarthit Gone villages. A
descriptive method was employed, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources.
The analysis focused on the Vulnerability Context within the Sustainable Livelihood
Framework. The findings reveal that most households rely on a few main livelihood
activities and face significant challenges in response to ongoing economic hardships.
The study concludes that improving infrastructure, promoting home-based industries,
strengthening community organizations, and expanding access to microfinance,
vocational training, and technical support are essential to reduce livelihood
vulnerability and enhancing the well-being of rural households
The Effect of Psychological Empowerment on Organizational Commitment of KBZ Bank, Myanmar (Khin Kyar Phyu Win, 2025)
This study focuses on the effect of psychological empowerment on
organizational commitment among employees of KBZ Bank, Myanmar, in the context
of a rapidly evolving financial sector. The primary objectives are to identify
psychological empowerment practices at KBZ Bank. The study adopts a quantitative
research method. Data are collected from a representative sample of 387 employees,
selected through a simple random sampling method. Statistical analyses are conducted
to assess the effect of the four dimensions of psychological empowerment—meaning,
competence, self-determination, and impact and organizational commitment. Findings
reveal a significant positive effect between psychological empowerment and
organizational commitment among KBZ Bank employees. Specifically, employees
who perceive higher levels of self-determination, competence, and meaningfulness in
their roles exhibit stronger organizational commitment. The study suggests that
enhancing empowerment practices can foster greater employee engagement, loyalty,
and retention. It is recommended that KBZ Bank and similar organizations implement
targeted empowerment initiatives, such as leadership development programs and
participative decision-making processes, to further strengthen workforce commitment
Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty Towards Myanmar Credit Bureau (MMCB) (Khine Phu Pwint Wai, 2025)
The objective of this study is to analyze the service quality, customer
satisfaction, and customer loyalty towards Myanmar Credit Bureau (MMCB). MMCB
as the first and only credit bureau in Myanmar assists financial institutions with their
credit information needs. This study attempts to examine the effect of service quality
dimensions; tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy on
customer satisfaction and thereafter the effect of customer satisfaction on customer
loyalty. This study was quantitative in nature, collecting primary data through
structured questionnaires from 119 credit reporting services inquired customers from
banks, finance companies and microfinance institutions who are chosen simple
random sampling method. The study was examined through multiple regression
analysis. The analysis revealed that all the five service quality dimensions have a
positive and statistically significant effect in customer satisfaction. Moreover,
customer satisfaction effect on customer loyalty. Assurance was the most effecting
factors on the service quality dimensions. The findings suggest that MMCB to
improve accuracy, correctness and sufficiency in transparency of credit reporting
services to build satisfaction and loyalty from customers. This study helps MMCB by
providing the findings which shows the highlight of service delivery and service
quality improvement needed
Effect of Mortgage Leading on Financial Performance of Kanbawza Bank (Lynn Thinzar Htoo, 2025)
This study examines the effect of mortgage lending on the financial
performance of Kanbawza Bank in Myanmar, focusing on four key factors: interest
rates, mortgage loan amounts, repayment, and pricing. The objectives of the study are
to identify the mortgage lending practices at KBZ Bank and to analyze the effect of
those practices on the bank’s financial performance. A quantitative research method
was adopted, using a structured questionnaire distributed to selected banking staff
through a simple random sampling method to ensure equal and unbiased participation,
resulting in a sample size of 260 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using
multiple linear regression to evaluate how each factor influences financial
performance. The findings show that mortgage loan amounts, inflation, repayment
methods, and pricing have a significant and positive effect on financial performance,
while interest rate does not demonstrate a statistically significant effect. These results
state that increasing loan volumes, offering flexible repayment schemes, and applying
competitive and transparent pricing are key strategies to enhance financial
performance. It is therefore recommended that KBZ Bank continue to focus on these
factors to strengthen its mortgage operations
The Effect of Work and Family Dimensions on Work-life Balance and Employee Retention in Gulf Petroleum Myanmar Company Limited (Han Thu, 2025)
This study aims to analyze the effect of work dimensions on work-life balance, the
effect of family dimensions on work-life balance and the mediating effect of psychological
empowerment on the relationship between work-life balance and employee retention in
Gulf Petroleum Myanmar Company Limited. The population size is 128 employees.
Sample size is 97 by using the Raosoft sample size calculator. Primary data is collected
through an online survey using a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale from
97 respondents of the Yetagun project of Gulf Petroleum Myanmar Company Limited.
Simple random sampling method is applied to select the sample respondents. Secondary
data is gathered from textbooks, research articles, websites, and previous dissertations.
Descriptive statistics and regression analysis are used to assess the relationships among
variables. The findings indicate that work environment, employee health and wellness
benefits, teamwork and communication, family and social support, and personal and family
demands have significant and positive effect on work-life balance. Moreover, there is
significant and positive mediating effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship
between work-life balance and employee retention in Gulf Petroleum Myanmar Company
Limited. The study recommends that Gulf Petroleum Myanmar Company Limited should
enhance its supportive workplace practices, strengthen health and wellness programs, offer
flexible work policies, and promote psychological empowerment initiatives to ensure longterm
employee retention in offshore operations
Factors Affecting Employee Retention on Employee Performance in Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar Company (Myat Kyaw Thu, 2025)
The objectives of the study are to examine factors affecting employee retention and to analyze the mediating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between employee retention and employee performance in Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar Co.,Ltd. Both primary and secondary data are used in this study. There are 150 employees who hold managerial and non-managerial positions at the Hlaing Thar Yar office. By using the Raosoft sample size calculator, the sample size for this study is 109. This sample size are selected by using simple random sampling method. Primary data are collected through an online survey structured questionnaires with five-point Likert scale, while secondary data were gathered from textbooks, academic articles, journals, and relevant online sources to support the framework. In this research, both descriptive statistics and linear regression analysis are applied to reach the objectives. The result shows that leadership styles and working environment have a positive significant effect on employee retention. Furthermore, organizational culture acts as a mediator on the relationship between employee retention and employee performance. Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar Co.,Ltd should maintain and focus on encouraging of leadership styles and working environment to enhance employee retention and performance
Effect of Loan Portfolio Management Practices on Financial Performance at UAB Bank (May Myat Thaw, 2025)
The study aimed to examine the loan portfolio management practice effect on
the financial performance of uab Bank. By employing quantitative research method, the
study attempts to achieve this objective. Primary data was collected through structured
questionnaires distributed to 92 respondents selected through simple random sampling
from employees working in the Corporate Banking, SME Banking, and Consumer
Banking departments of uab Bank. The study found that most employees have a high
perception of the loan portfolio management practices. According to the regression
analysis, loan portfolio management had a significant effect on the financial
performance of uab Bank. Among the practices, credit risk management had the largest
effect, followed by loan portfolio planning, loan monitoring, and loan appraisal in
improving financial performance. Since credit risk management made the largest
contribution to financial performance, the bank should ensure to implement clear
policies for managing default risk and diversify its loan portfolio to minimize
concentration risk across specific sectors and borrower segments
Effect of Human Resource Management Information Systems on Organizational Performance in Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar Co., Ltd (Win Yu Yu Aung, 2025)
The primary objectives of the study are to analyze the effect of human resource management information systems on organizational performance and to examine the mediating effect of service delivery on the relationship between human resource management information systems and organizational performance in Cycle & Carraige Automobile Myanmar Co., Ltd. There are 80 employees at Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar Co., Ltd (2025). Sample size of the study is 67 by using Raosoft sample size calculator. Total 67 employees out of 80 are selected by using simple random sampling method. The primary data are collected with online survey method by using structured questionnaire with 5-point Likert scale. Secondary data are obtained from website, company documents, previous research papers, textbooks and other related information resources at Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar Co., Ltd. For data analysis, both the descriptive statistics and the regression analysis are used. According to the findings, e-Appraisal has positive and significant effect on organizational performance. Additionally, service delivery mediates between e-Appraisal and organizational performance. Based on these findings, Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar Co., Ltd should continue to strengthen the use of the e-Appraisal system and focus on improving HR service delivery by using Human Resource Management Information Systems more effectively
Factors Influencing Customer Savings Deposit Decisions At CB Bank PCL ( Win Thiri Han, 2025)
The aim of this study is to examine the factors influencing customer savings deposit
decisions at CB Bank PCL. To accomplish this objective, both primary and secondary data
were used. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 400
CB Bank PCL customers using simple random sampling. Secondary data were obtained
from academic journals, online databases, research papers, and related textbooks. The study
employed a descriptive and quantitative research method. The influencing factors examined
include bank reputation, interest rate, service quality, banking accessibility, safety,
convenience, and promotion. According to the analysis, the influencing factors of customer
savings deposit decisions are interest rate, bank reputation, banking accessibility, and
convenience. And as the regression analysis of customer savings deposit decisions has
approximately average level of effect on post-purchase evaluation, indicating that customers
who are more confident in their savings deposit decisions tend to evaluate the bank’s
services more favorably. This study suggest that CB Bank should prioritize enhancing its
reputation, offering competitive interest rates, and improving accessibility and convenience
to strengthen customer engagement. Enhancing these areas will not only support customer
acquisition but also strengthen long-term satisfaction and loyalty. This study recommends
that future research explore how demographic variables such as age, income level, and
occupation affect savings behavior and satisfaction, potentially revealing differentiated
needs among customer segments
Effect of Personal Traits and Technological Factors on Consumer Attitude, Purchase Intention and Purchase Behavior Towards Blue Motion Solar Energy Co., Ltd (Khant Shinn Thant, 2025)
The objectives of the study are to analyze the effect of personal traits on consumer attitude, to analyze the effect of technological factors on consumer attitude, to analyze the effect of consumer attitude on purchase intention, to analyze the moderating effect of perceived consumer effectiveness on the relationship between consumer attitude and purchase intention and to investigate the effect of purchase intention on purchase behavior of solar photovoltaic towards Blue Motion Solar Energy Co., Ltd. Both primary and secondary data are used in this study. Primary data is collected from a sample of 249 out of 700 customers, computed with Raosoft sample size calculator. Data is collected by a simple random sampling method through an online survey method, administered through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. Secondary data is gathered from relevant textbooks, articles, previous studies, and local research publications. To meet the research objectives, descriptive statistics and regression analysis are used. According to the results, personal traits, including product knowledge, ecological lifestyle and perceived benefits, have significant effect on consumer attitude. Additionally, technological factors, including innovativeness and optimism, have significant effect on consumer attitude. Likewise, consumer attitude also has significant effect on purchase intention. Notably, perceived consumer effectiveness does not have moderating effect on the relationship between consumer attitude and purchase intention. Purchase intention has significant and positive effect on the purchase behavior of solar photovoltaic towards Blue Motion Solar Energy Co., Ltd. The findings demonstrate that personal traits and technological factors influence the consumer attitude, which in turn influences purchase intention and finally, purchase behavior towards Blue Motion Solar Energy Co., Ltd. Therefore, Blue Motion Solar Energy Co., Ltd. should emphasize the importance of these variables in promoting solar energy adoption
