Community knowledge, Attitude and Preparedness for Flood risk Reduction in Loikaw Township ( Nyo Nyo Aung, 2025)
This study examines the level of community knowledge, attitudes, and
preparedness regarding flood risk reduction in Loikaw Township, particularly in
response to the 2024 Yagi flood. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were
collected through structured household surveys (n=250) and key informant interviews
with local officials, community leaders, and disaster management actors. The study
reveals that while general awareness of flood risks is high, practical preparedness
remains limited due to resource constraints and gaps in early warning dissemination.
Attitudes toward community participation are positive, but formal engagement in
disaster planning is low. Government agencies play a central role, yet coordination
with civil society and local stakeholder needs improvement. The findings highlight
the need for localized Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) training, investment in
infrastructure, and inclusive preparedness planning. This research contributes to
understanding how community-based disaster risk reduction strategies can strengthen
resilience and inform policy at the township level
A Study on the Awareness of High School Students About Environmental Conservation and Waste Management in Pyay District ( Honey Win Zaw, 2025)
This study investigates the environmental conservation and waste management awareness of high school students in Pyay District, Myanmar. A total of 371 students from seven high schools participated in a structured survey using a descriptive research method. Primary data were gathered through Likert-scaled questionnaires, and secondary data were sourced from institutions such as the World Bank, UNEP, and the Environmental Conservation Department (ECD). The survey explored sources of environmental knowledge from students, participation in ecological activities, awareness of environmental issues, and behavioral engagement with reduce, reuse, and recycle (3Rs) principles. Findings indicate that media and schools serve as primary information sources, while tree planting and cleaning activities are common forms of engagement. Students rated environmental consequences of improper waste disposal as highly significant, identifying weak policies, careless habits, and inadequate infrastructure as key contributing factors. Proposed solutions such as recycling, awareness campaigns, and facility improvements received substantial support. Behavioral data revealed consistent student participation in 3Rs practices. The study provides a comprehensive understanding of students’ environmental awareness and offers a baseline for future research and educational development in Pyay District. This study also contributes to promoting sustainability through youth-centered environmental policy and education in Myanmar
A Study on Employability and Career Development of Pharmacists in Myanmar ( Khin Thu Zar Win , 2025)
The pharmaceutical workforce plays a vital role in strengthening healthcare systems and ensuring rational medicine use in Myanmar. This study aims to analyze the current employment availability of pharmacy graduates from the University of Pharmacy, Yangon, across both public and private sectors, and to examine the challenges affecting their employability and career development. Using a descriptive method, data was collected via an online survey with structured questionnaires. Findings indicate that the pharmacist workforce in Myanmar is predominantly young, female, and concentrated in urban areas, with a strong baseline of full-time employment across diverse sectors. While pharmacists demonstrate high intrinsic motivation for continuous learning and career planning, significant systemic barriers impede their long-term professional development. A notable proportion of respondents have considered or are actively pursuing international migration for better career prospects, underscoring dissatisfaction with domestic opportunities. Pharmacists also expressed a strong belief that their profession is not sufficiently recognized or valued within the Myanmar healthcare system

Effect of Experiential Marketing on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty towards Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm (Swan Pyae Htet, 2025)
The aims of this research are to examine how experiential marketing influences customer satisfaction with Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm and to investigate the mediating role of customer trust in the relationship between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty toward Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm. This research utilizes both primary and secondary data. The sample size of 377 was determined using the Raosoft sample size formula for the unknown population. Primary data are gathered from every fifth customer visiting Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm in February 2025 through a systematic sampling approach. The personal survey approach is utilized to gather the primary data. A structured questionnaire utilizing a 5-point Likert scale is employed to gather the primary data. Secondary data are collected from earlier research articles, textbooks, websites, and other relevant information sources from Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm. Descriptive statistics and the linear regression approach are utilized to examine the data. The regression results further show that the experiences of sensing, thinking, and relating positively and significantly influence customer satisfaction. On the other hand, the findings indicate that feel and act experiences do not significantly influence customer satisfaction. It is also discovered that customer trust has a mediating role in the connection between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. To enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, Ayer Shwe Pyi Organic Farm ought to develop products and souvenirs that represent the Farm's distinctive identity and values, fostering a sense of authenticity and connection. Additionally, the farm should create more attractive tea landscapes, art pieces, and visually captivating tea ceremonies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalt
Effect of Human Resource Practices on Employee Performance at Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (Arkar Minn, 2025)
This study aims to examine the effect of human resource practices on employee
job satisfaction, to analyze the mediating effect of employee engagement on the
relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and to analyze the
effect of organizational commitment on employee performance at Yangon Aerodrome
Company Limited (YACL). This study utilizes both primary and secondary data. The
sample size of this study is 292 out of 1,070 employees, determined using Yamane’s
formula. Primary data are collected through a structured questionnaire with a five-point
Likert scale. A simple random sampling method is applied to collect data from employees
across various departments and job positions at YACL in 2025. Descriptive statistics and
regression analysis are used to analyze the data. The findings reveal that HR practices,
specifically employee compensation and training and development have a positive
significant effect on job satisfaction. The finding shows that there is a mediating effect of
employee engagement on the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational
commitment. It also finds that organizational commitment has a positive significant effect
on employee performance. This study highlights the importance of strategic HR practices
in shaping employee outcomes at YACL should prioritize effective training programs,
fair compensation systems, and initiatives to enhance employee engagement to build a
motivated, committed, and high-performing workforce
A Study on Employees' Perception on Welfare in Garment Industries (Case Study: Hlaing Thar Yar Industrial Zone, Yagon Region) (Thae Thae Oo, 2025)
This study examines employee perceptions of welfare facilities in Myanmar's
garment industry, focusing on the Hlaing Thar Yar Industrial Zone in Yangon. Using a
descriptive research method, primary data was collected from 358 workers across four
industrial zones through structured questionnaires, supplemented by secondary data
from industry reports and government publications. The study evaluates four key
dimensions of welfare transportation, medical and healthcare, safety equipment, and
childcare facilities. Findings reveal moderate satisfaction with medical and restroom
facilities but significant gaps in childcare support and job security. While compensation
and work environment conditions are generally acceptable, concerns persist regarding
fair dispute resolution, training quality, and management transparency. The study
suggests policy improvements, better enforcement of labor laws, and enhanced welfare
provisions to boost employee satisfaction and productivity, ensuring sustainable growth
in Myanmar's garment sector
A Study on the Domestic Violence Among Married Women (Case Study:Hlaingthaya) (May Myat Noe Aung, 2025)
Domestic violence among married women remains a critical social issue with profound physical, emotional, and social consequences that affect not only individuals but also families and communities. This study aimed to assess the prevalence, perceptions, and perceived impacts of domestic violence among married women in Hlaingthaya Township. Employing a descriptive survey approach, data were collected from 210 married women and analyzed using frequency distributions, percentages, mean scores, and standard deviations. The findings revealed that physical and psychological violence were reported by all respondents, with sexual violence also significantly impacting a substantial portion, particularly among women aged 35 to 45 years. While respondents generally recognized the serious consequences of domestic violence, including its effects on physical health, mental well-being, social isolation, and economic hardship, there remained concerning levels of ambivalence and acceptance regarding the justification of violence in certain circumstances. Additionally, perceptions about responsibility and blame highlighted a tendency to diffuse accountability, with some victim-blaming attitudes persisting. Despite these challenges, there was positive acknowledgment of the importance of education, community involvement, and support services in preventing and addressing domestic violence. The study emphasizes the urgent need for targeted educational initiatives, stronger legal enforcement, and culturally sensitive interventions to empower women, shift harmful norms, and foster safer family and community environments
Factors Influencing Customer Adoption Towards Internet banking Services of BIDV Yangon Branch (Kaung Mon Thant, 2025)
This study investigates the factors affecting customer adoption toward internet
banking services of BIDV Yangon Branch. A quantitative research method is
employed. Primary data are collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to
120 active internet banking users of BIDV Yangon, selected using a simple random
sampling method. The influencing factors examined in this study include social
influence, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, trust, and perceived security.
The findings reveal that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have
statistically significant positive effects on adoption, while trust, social influence and
perceived security do not have a statistically significant effect on customer adoption
toward internet banking. The study confirms that perceived usefulness exerts the
strongest effect on the adoption of internet banking services. To enhance customer
adoption of internet banking at the BIDV Yangon Branch, BIDV should simplify the
user interface and navigation process, implement robust security measures, and offer
incentives to improve perceived usefulness and build customer trust. This study
provides actionable insights for banks and policymakers to enhance digital banking
strategies, strengthen user trust, and bridge the digital divide in Myanmar’s banking
sector
A Study on the Development of Insurance Industry in Myanmar ( May Myat Thu Khaing, 2025)
The importance of the insurance industry's development in Myanmar lies in its role in fostering financial security, economic stability, and risk management for individuals and businesses. This study aims to evaluate the growth and transformation of Myanmar’s insurance sector over the past two decades, focusing on both life and non-life segments. Utilizing secondary data analysis from 2004 to 2024, the research employs descriptive analysis and correlation regression analysis to uncover trends and relationships between key economic indicators and insurance sector metrics. The main findings reveal a profound shift from a household-dominated, non-life insurance market to a more balanced and diversified industry, with life insurance participation and institutional involvement rising significantly in recent years; strong positive correlations were identified between GDP growth and both life and non-life insurance deposits, while non-life insurance depositor numbers were less tied to macroeconomic expansion. Based on these results, it is recommended that continued regulatory reforms, public awareness campaigns, financial literacy initiatives, and innovative product development are crucial to ensuring the sustained growth, inclusivity, and resilience of Myanmar’s insurance industry
