The Effect of Brand Equity on Customer Buying Behaviour at Yum Myanmar Instant Noodles (Yamin Khin, 2025)
The study aims to analyze the effect of brand equity components such as brand
awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty on consumer
buying behavior. The target population consists of consumers in Yangon who are
familiar with or have purchased Yum Yum instant noodles. The study used a
systematic sampling technique to select a total of 385 respondents. A quantitative
research method is applied. The results find that brand loyalty, perceived quality and
brand awareness significantly influence consumer buying behavior, while brand
associations do not have a significant effect. Brand loyalty emerged as the most
influential factor. These findings demonstrate that loyalty-building, consistent product
quality and enhanced brand visibility practices could improve consumer buying
behavior. Therefore, Yum Yum Myanmar should implement strategies focusing on
customer loyalty programs, maintaining high-quality standards, and increasing brand
awareness through targeted marketing and emotional branding. Based on these results,
it is recommended that Yum Yum Myanmar prioritize loyalty-building strategies,
maintain consistent product quality, enhance brand visibility, and invest in emotional
branding to strengthen customer connection and market position
Factors Affecting Consumer Buying Decision Towards OTC Drugs in Yangon (Yee Yee Swe, 2025)
The objectives of this study are to examine the factors affecting consumer
buying decisions toward over-the-counter (OTC) drugs in Yangon and the influence of
these decisions on post-purchase evaluations. Five factors were analyzed:
physician/pharmacist recommendations, previous experience, price, digital marketing,
and country of origin. A total of 385 respondents were surveyed at Shwe Ohh Pharmacy
in Yangon using a structured questionnaire. A systematic simple random sampling
method is used. Regression analysis confirmed that all five variables significantly affect
consumer buying decisions, with country of origin identified as the most influential
factor. In addition, consumer buying decisions were found to significantly affect post-
purchase evaluations. Based on these findings, pharmaceutical companies are
encouraged to prioritize the clear and prominent labeling of country of origin to build
trust and support purchase confidence. Affordability initiatives, such as offering smaller
pack sizes and adopting value-based pricing, are well-suited to appeal to price-sensitive
consumers. Strengthening the role of pharmacists and physicians in the purchasing
process is also recommended, as professional advice continues to serve as a critical
influence. Ensuring consistent product quality can further enhance positive post-
purchase evaluations and promote long-term customer loyalty. Although digital
marketing currently plays a limited role, its potential remains notable, particularly if
future efforts focus on health-related content tailored to younger and urban consumers
The Impact of Human Capital on Economic Growth in Myanmar (Aye Mya Mya Htun, 2025)
Human capital is important in Myanmar because it plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity, reducing poverty, and driving sustainable economic growth in the face of ongoing structural and institutional challenges. This research explores the impact of human capital on Myanmar’s economic growth over the period from 2000 to 2023. It focuses on key indicators such as education expenditure, labor force participation, and health investment, aiming to understand how these factors have contributed to changes in the country’s real GDP. By applying time series analysis using correlation and regression methods, the study finds a strong positive relationship between human capital development and economic performance. When a country invests strategically in education and healthcare, and effectively engages its labor force, it can achieve higher productivity and more sustainable economic growth. Nevertheless, the study also highlights ongoing challenges, and concerns over data accuracy, which continue to hinder progress. The findings underscore the importance of improving both the quality and transparency of human capital investments to support Myanmar’s long-term and inclusive economic development
The Study on the Health Awareness of Occupational Hazards among Workers (Case Study: No (10) Military Heavy Industry, Meikhtila) (Khaing Su Su Nwe, 2025)
Occupational hazards are a significant concern for workers’ health and safety in
industrial environments such as No. (10) Military Heavy Industry in Meikhtila. This
study aimed to assess the awareness of occupational hazards among workers and to
evaluate the effectiveness of a structured health education intervention in improving
their knowledge, attitudes, and practices. A descriptive study method was used,
focusing on 200 workers selected from a total of 590 in various production and
maintenance departments. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire
specifically designed to assess knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) regarding
occupational hazards, both before and after the educational intervention. The study
found that respondents initially had limited knowledge of different hazard types,
improper or inconsistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and weak
compliance with established workplace safety procedures. Although many workers
expressed a generally positive attitude toward occupational safety, a number of
misconceptions and unsafe practices continued to exist. The findings indicate that the
health education program successfully led to notable improvements in knowledge and
safer practices, including more consistent use of PPE and increased awareness of
workplace risks and responsibilities. However, changes in attitudes and sustained
behavior were less pronounced and appear to require ongoing reinforcement, supportive
supervision, and continuous engagement from both management and workers to create
a lasting culture of safety within the organization
A Study on Women's Awareness on Sexual Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR) (Case Study: Nyaungshwe Township, Southern Shan State) (Khant Baw, 2025)
SRHR is vital for protecting health, rights, and dignity by enabling individuals
to make informed decisions about their bodies and reproduction. It also promotes
gender equality and supports social and economic development. This research looks at
how much women of reproductive age in Nyaungshwe Township, Myanmar, know
about and can get to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). We
gathered info from 150 women between 15 and 45 years old using a structured
survey. The study looks at important parts of SRHR, like family planning, maternal
health, menstrual hygiene, STI prevention, and rights related to gender. The study
found that while most women were aware of menstruation and antenatal care,
knowledge about contraception, postnatal care, and pregnancy danger signs was
limited. Only 65% had used SRHR services, and just 20% regularly received
information. Health workers and media were the main information sources, while
schools and online platforms were underused. Barriers included lack of knowledge
(52%), cost (42.7%), shame (36.7%), and privacy concerns (40%). Cultural norms,
low education levels, and health system issues all contributed to limited access to
SRHR services
A Study on Paperless Banking Practices in SMED Bank ( Case Study : Selected Townships) (Han Soe, 2025)
i
ABSTRACT
Paperless banking represents not only a technological innovation but also a vital
developmental tool that promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This
study aims to assess users’ perceptions of paperless banking focusing on its benefits,
challenges, and awareness of related concepts at the SME-Development Bank while
also evaluating its systemic, environmental, customer-centric, and institutional impacts.
The study used a descriptive method combining primary and secondary data collected
from 10 SME Development Bank branches in Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyitaw.
Awareness of paperless banking is notably high in Myanmar, largely driven by
increased promotional efforts, improved accessibility of digital platforms, and effective
bank-led education initiatives. This widespread awareness has played a crucial role in
encouraging adoption. A collaborative effort among financial institutions, regulators,
and key stakeholders is essential, focusing on strengthening cybersecurity, advancing
green banking practices, customizing services to meet diverse user needs, and
delivering ongoing staff training. These efforts are vital to building public trust,
expanding accessibility, and contributing to the long-term sustainability of paperless
banking in Myanmar
A Study On The Benefits And Challenges Using Solar Energy For Electrification (A Case Study of Selected Villages in Taunggyi Township) (Htet Htet Shwe Yi Aung, 2025)
Solar energy is a fast-growing and efficient energy source, made even more effective with
expansions like solar battery storage and mini-grids, which can be installed quickly in rural areas.
Electrification by solar energy is being introduced in rural electrification programs, offering a
versatile and easily movable solution for providing electricity to off-grid households. The
objectives of this study are to assess the current situation of electrification in Myanmar and
examine the advantages and difficulties of implementing solar energy electrification. The study
used descriptive method based on primary and secondary data. A mixed-methods approach,
combining both quantitative and qualitative, was conducted by key informant interviews with 206
respondents in rural household of selective three villages in Taunggyi Township. The study found
that solar energy electrification was particularly beneficial for education, reduced monthly
electricity costs, and improved productivities in income-generating activities. Solar energy
electrification has improved living standards and advancing social progress. However, ensuring
these gains are sustainable and scalable requires further assistance in affordability, technical skill
development, and maintenance support. While most community members view solar energy as a
practical long-term solution, stronger support systems are essential to overcome challenges and
extend these benefits to other areas in Myanmar
A Study of Parental Awareness and Practices for Online Safety (Case Study: South Okkalapa Township) (Phone Myint Kyaw, 2025)
This study aims to examine the parental awareness of online safety in South
Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region. The objective of this study is to assess parental
knowledge and their practices on children’s online safety. In this study, the descriptive
method is used, and primary data is collected from 410 parents with a structured
questionnaire. The study found that majority of parents have moderate level of
awareness on online risks and safety practices. Whereas, the study reveals that most
respondents have limited knowledge about digital privacy tools, online safety laws and
lack of active supervision practices over children’s online activities. In practice, parents
are more active in controlling contact risks while less active in managing content and
conduct-related risks. The study claimed that age and educational backgrounds are
statistically significant factors that influence parental awareness. The study
recommends adding digital literacy lessons into the school curriculum and increasing
more awareness campaigns for parents who are elderly and less educated
A Study of Economic Relations Between Myanmar and Singapore ( Myint Myint Htay, 2025)
The analysis of the economic relationship between Myanmar and Singapore is crucial for understanding the dynamics of trade, investment, and cooperation between these two nations. This survey aims to provide a detailed examination of their economic interactions, highlighting opportunities and challenges that may arise. The methodology involves a comprehensive and secondary data analysis of various dimensions of their partnership, drawing on data from multiple reliable data sources, covering a minimum of five years of trends. Key findings reveal fluctuating trade dynamics, sectoral concentrations in foreign direct investment, and the importance of political stability in shaping economic outcomes. Additionally, Singapore has emerged as a key player in Myanmar's energy sector, particularly in power generation and oil and gas, reflecting its strategic interests. The trade balance has also shown resilience, with Myanmar gradually diversifying its exports to include textiles and agricultural products, while Singapore remains a vital source of essential goods and technology. Based on these insights, the suggestions emphasize the need for enhanced political stability, diversification of investment portfolios, and collaboration on infrastructure development to strengthen the economic partnership between Myanmar and Singapore
The Impact of Ultra-Processed Food Consumption on Public Health (Case Study: Supermarket Consumers in North Dagon, Yangon (Ei Ei Aung, 2025)
The increasing intake of ultra-processed foods (UPFs), known for their high
content of added sugars, fats, and artificial additives, presents a public health concern
linked to chronic conditions including obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. This study
examines consumer awareness and understanding of UPF-related health risks among
supermarket shoppers in North Dagon Township, Yangon. A descriptive cross-
sectional design was used, based on both primary and secondary data. A total of 196
participants were selected through convenience sampling, with disproportionate
allocation based on store size and customer flow. Results show that 46% of respondents
consumed UPFs in about half of their daily meals. While 72% recognized links to
obesity and 68% to diabetes, only 58% reported reducing their intake.. Nutrition label
understanding was low, and marketing claims influenced purchasing choices. These
findings highlight the need for nutrition education, improved labeling, and local
initiatives in urban settings to support healthier dietary behaviors
