Happiness and Work Performance of University Staff in Myanmar ( Case Study -West Yangon University) ( Ye Htin Kyaw, 2025)
The Study explores the connection between work performance and happiness
of universities staff at West Yangon University in Myanmar. Research was conducted
by data collection on 299 academic and administrative staff by means of a structured
questionnaire. The Study intended to evaluate the general feeling of happiness and
investigate the degree to which it can impact the performance of work against the
backdrop of economic and institutional issues prevailing in Myanmar. The results
indicated that the overall happiness score was 4.31 and the most favorable scores were
in the areas of emotional well-being, interpersonal relationship, and job satisfaction.
Nonetheless, poorer results were observed in such dimensions as financial security and
the feeling of life purpose. The rating of work performance was also high in several
aspects such as task efficiency, collaboration as well as professional development. The
article suggests implementable and situational measures that can be adopted to improve
employee health and productivity. These comprise enhancement of finances, increase
in access to training, balanced work-life, and improvement of emotional support
frameworks, which provides a route to long-term advancements in the higher education
facilities of Myanmar
Factors Affecting Adaptive Selling Behavior and Salespeople Performance of Rohto Company Limited (Saw Nwe Oo, 2025)
This study aims to examine the elements influencing the adaptive selling behavior of salespeople's performance and to investigate the mediating role of customer orientation in the relationship between sales personnel performance and adaptive selling behavior related to Rohto Company Limited. Rohto Company Limited has a total of 226 sales representatives. Using the Yamane sample size formula, 144 salespeople are chosen as the sample size through simple random sampling. The customers are chosen using a simple random sampling technique. Primary data is gathered from sales representatives of Rohto Company Limited through a simple random sampling technique. The primary data is gathered using the online survey method. A structured questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale is employed to gather the primary data. Secondary data are collected from prior research studies, textbooks, websites, and other relevant information sources from Rohto Company Limited. Descriptive statistics and regression techniques are utilized to examine the data. The results of the regression analysis reveal that selling experience, intrinsic motivation, cue perception ability, learning orientation, and knowledge significantly and positively influence adaptive selling behavior. It is also observed that customer orientation mediates the relationship between adaptive selling behavior and sales performance. Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Anti- Money Laundering Practices in UAB Bank (Kay Thi Win Hlaing, 2025)
This study explores the factors affecting the effectiveness of Anti-Money
Laundering (AML) compliance practices at uab bank, a major private financial institution
in Myanmar. The research focuses on four key variables: the responsibility of the bank in
AML efforts, employee training and awareness, technological integration, and regulatory
enforcement. Data were collected from 385 respondents across various departments and
positions within uab bank through a structured questionnaire. The analysis involved
descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression techniques. Findings
indicate that regulatory enforcement has the strongest positive effect on AML compliance,
followed by employee training and the bank’s internal responsibility. Technological
integration, while supportive, showed a relatively weaker influence. Overall, the results
suggest that AML compliance at uab Bank is at a high level, but continued improvement is
necessary, especially in system upgrades and proactive regulatory alignment. The study
concludes with recommendations aimed at strengthening compliance frameworks and
fostering a culture of integrity and accountability
The Effect of Corporate Governance Practices on Employee Performance of Myanma Foreign Trade Bank (Khaing Wah Oo, 2025)
This study investigates the effect of corporate governance practices on employee
performance at Myanma Foreign Trade Bank (MFTB). The objectives of the study are
to identify the corporate governance practices of Myanma Foreign Trade Bank and to
analyze the effect of corporate governance practices on employee performance of
Myanma Foreign Trade Bank. Both primary and secondary data are used in this study.
A survey is conducted with 100 employees who are selected by a method of simple
random sampling.Descriptive and quantitative methods were used in this study. The
study focused on key corporate governance practices: accountability, responsibility,
transparency, and fairness.Findings indicate that corporate governance practices
collectively have a statistically significant effect on employee performance.
Specifically, Transparency and Fairness emerged as statistically significant positive
drivers of employee performance, with Fairness showing the strongest influence.
Conversely, Accountability and Responsibility did not demonstrate a statistically
significant direct effect on employee performance in this model. The results underscore
the collective importance of robust corporate governance in enhancing employee
performance, with a particular emphasis on fostering clear transparency and consistent
fairness within the bank. This study provides valuable insights for MFTB and other
state-owned institutions aiming to improve their corporate governance practices to
foster productivity and engagement
Operational Risk Management Practices and Performance of Myawaddy Bank (Mi Mi Thet, 2025)
The main purpose of this study is on the guidelines established by the Basel
Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS). Additionally, the purpose of this research
is to examine how operational risk management practices influence the performance of
Myawaddy Bank. Utilizing quantitative research methods. The study sample is 171
employees from Myawaddy Bank (head office and all branches) across Myanmar who
were surveyed, which were obtained by using Taro Yamane’s (1973) sampling formula.
The influencing factors examined include operational risk identification, operational
risk assessment, operational risk monitoring, and operational risk controlling.
Regression analysis demonstrated that operational risk identification and operational
risk monitoring and operational risk controlling of bank performance have positive
effect on the performance of Myawaddy Bank. Based on these findings, operational
risk monitoring is the most influential factor; implementing robust risk monitoring and
controlling frameworks is essential for enhancing Myawaddy Bank's operational
efficiency and overall performance, ensuring long-term stability and growth. This study
suggestions that future research expand to the importance of operational risk
management practices in generating long-term corporate success in the financial sector
Effect of Peer Relationship on Academic Achievement in Pearl Yadana Vocational Training Center (Thinn Moe Phyu, 2025)
This research aims to examine the mediating effect of learning motivation on the relationship between peer relationship and academic achievement, to examine the mediating effect of learning motivation on the relationship between peer relationship and learning engagement, to examine the mediating effect of learning engagement on the relationship between peer relationship and academic achievement and to analyze the mediating effect of learning engagement on the relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement in Pearl Yadana Vocational Training Center. Primary and secondary data are used in this study. A sample size of 82 respondents out of 103 students is determined using the Raosoft sample size calculator, and respondents are selected through a simple random sampling method. Primary data is collected through a structured questionnaire utilizing a 5-point Likert scale, and online survey method is used to collect the data. Secondary data is sourced from textbooks, academic articles, websites, international dissertations, and research papers from the library. The collected data is analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. There is the mediating effect of learning motivation on the relationship between peer relationship and academic achievement. There is the mediating effect of learning motivation on the relationship between peer relationship and learning engagement. Moreover, there is the mediating effect of learning engagement on the relationship between peer relationship and academic achievement. There is the mediating effect of learning engagement on the relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement. Based on these findings, the school should foster peer relationships through learning motivation and learning engagement to improve academic achievement
Customer engagement and Customer Loyalty at KBZ Bank, (Tin Zaw Wai, 2025)
This study aims to examine the factors influencing customer engagement and
analyze its impact on customer loyalty at KBZ Bank, one of Myanmar’s leading financial
institutions. The four factors investigated in this study are self-brand connection, emotions
during service, trust, and satisfaction. A quantitative research approach was employed to
measure the relationships between these factors and customer engagement and loyalty, and
data was collected through structured questionnaires from 137 international corporate
customers, representing 68.5% of the target population. In order to carry out the specified
two objectives, both primary and secondary data are used in this study. The findings
indicate that self-brand connection, emotions during service, and trust have significant
positive effects on customer engagement, with emotions during service showing the
strongest influence. Furthermore, the study confirms that increased customer engagement
positively affects customer loyalty. Based on these findings, it is recommended that KBZ
Bank focus on enhancing emotional service experiences, building customer trust through
reliable transactions, and strengthening brand-customer alignment to deepen engagement
and maintain a competitive advantage in Myanmar’s financial services secto
Effect of Audit Quality on Client Loyalty towards Cho Group Services Company Limited (Pyae Phyo zaw, 2025)
The objectives of this study are to examine the influencing factors on audit quality
and to analyze the mediating effect of client satisfaction on the relationship between audit
quality and client loyalty towards Cho Group Services Company Limited. Both primary
and secondary data are applied. Primary data are collected using structured questionnaires
based on a 5-point Likert scale. The sample size of 153 clients out of 253 clients are
calculated by using Raosoft sample size calculator and selected through simple random
sampling method. In addition, secondary data are collected from relevant text books,
papers, websites, international dissertations and other research papers from the library. The
analysis methods are descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Based on the
regression analysis, client company size and audit tenure have a positive and significant
effect on audit quality. According to the Sobel test results, client satisfaction mediates on
the relationship between audit quality and client loyalty. Based on these findings, Cho
Group Services Company Limited should continue to enhance audit quality while also
investing in strategies that improve client satisfaction, as both directly and indirectly
contribute to building long-term client loyalty
The Effect of Quality Management Practices on Organization Performance of Myanmar Vineyard Estate Co., Ltd (Sandy Htun, 2025)
The study aims to examine the effect of quality management practices on the
organization performance of Myanmar Vineyard Estate Co., Ltd. (MVE). This study
investigates how five quality management factors—customer focus, leadership,
employee involvement, continuous improvement, and supplier management—
collectively influence organization performance. The target population comprises
managerial to supervisory staff working in the production and procurement departments
of MVE, totaling approximately 200 employees. Using Yamane’s formula for known
populations, a sample of 134 respondents was selected, representing 67% of the total
population. A quantitative research method was applied to analyse the data. The results
show that customer focus, leadership, employee involvement, continuous
improvement, and supplier management all have statistically significant and positive
effect on organization performance. Among these, customer focus emerged as the most
affecting factor on performance. These findings demonstrate that adopting strong
quality management practices can substantially enhance organization performance at
MVE. Therefore, it is recommended that MVE strategically prioritizes customer-
focused initiatives, strengthen leadership engagement, broaden employee participation
in quality efforts, institutionalize continuous improvement processes, and foster long-
term, quality-driven supplier relationships to sustain and improve operational
excellence
Digital Marketing Practices, Brand Awareness and Brand Loyalty at Alpine (Thet Oo Khin, 2025)
This study investigates the effect of digital marketing practices on brand
awareness and brand loyalty toward Alpine Purified Drinking Water in Yangon.
Focusing on five key digital marketing dimensions social media marketing, content
marketing, email marketing, online advertising, and pay-per-click (PPC) marketing
the research adopts a quantitative approach using structured questionnaires
administered to 385 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics,
correlation analysis, and regression techniques. The results indicate that all five digital
marketing practices have a significant positive relationship with brand awareness,
with social media marketing followed by content findings. Furthermore, a strong
positive relationship was found between brand awareness and brand loyalty,
confirming that increased visibility and engagement lead to greater consumer
commitment. Based on the findings of Objective two, it is found that all of digital
marketing practices have somewhat level of effects on brand awareness at Alpine.
According to the objective three, it can be stated that regression analysis of brand
awareness has approximately moderate level of effect on brand loyalty. The findings
highlight the effectiveness of Alpine’s digital marketing strategies in enhancing its
brand presence and fostering customer loyalty in a competitive urban market. This
study offers practical insights for marketers and brand managers in the purified water
industry and provides a foundation for future research into consumer behavior and
digital branding strategies
