    A Study on The Performance of Selected Private High Schools in Hlaing Township, Yangon Region (Bo Bo Zaw, 2025)

    This study examines the performance of selected private high schools in Hlaing Township, Yangon, focusing on three key determinants: learning environment, teacher quality, and parental involvement. The study aims to investigate the perception levels of teachers, students, and parents regarding school performance. A descriptive research design was employed, using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires from 150 respondents, including students, parents, and teachers. Findings indicate that all stakeholders generally hold positive perceptions of the schools. The learning environment was rated positively, though areas such as teacher feedback and student motivation require improvement. Teacher quality was appreciated for subject knowledge, preparedness, and instructional competence, while parental involvement was identified as a significant contributor to academic success. Overall, students reported the highest satisfaction, followed by parents and teachers. The study highlights the need to enhance teacher engagement, individualized instruction, and structured parental participation to further strengthen educational outcomes

    Factors Influencing Poverty Among Ever-Married Women in Rural Areas of Myanmar (Sandi Zaw Lynn, 2025)

    Poverty remains as a major economic and social challenge that hinders human well-being and development. Women experience higher levels of poverty because enduring economic, social and gender inequalities increase their vulnerability. This study aims to analyze the factors which influence on poverty among ever-married women in rural areas of Myanmar. The secondary data utilized for the study are obtained from the 2019 Inter-censal Survey. Principal Component Analysis, descriptive analysis, Pearson chi-squared test and binary logistic regression analysis is employed in this study. The results of descriptive analysis revealed that 40.1% of ever-married women were poor, whereas, 59.9% were non-poor. Furthermore, the results of Pearson’s chi-squared test revealed that there was a significant association between poverty and age, marital status, children ever born, age at marriage, educational attainment, employment, household size, female household head and disability status. In addition, the results of binary logistic regression analysis revealed that age, marital status, children ever born, age at marriage, educational attainment, household size, female household head and disability status are significant predictors of poverty among ever-married women. Ever-married women who were divorced or widowed, had three or more children, married at age 25 or older, were female household heads, and had a disability tended to be poor. However, those women who were aged 30 years or older, had completed any level of education, and lived in households having four or more family members tended to be non-poor

    The objectives of the study are to identify the effect of marketing mix strategies of Bella cosmetics products in Mandalay. Primary data are collected from 278 customers are selected by using a systemic sampling method. Data collection period was in April 1 -20, 2025. In this study, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis are used to meet the objectives of the study. According to the correlation analysis results, product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence have positive and significant relationship with customer satisfaction.Customer satisfaction is significantly impacted by product, price, promotion, people,process and physical evidence, according to the results of the regression analysis. Place was insignificant in the regression analysis, suggesting that Bella should optimize its distribution channels by ensuring product availability in both physical retail outlets and e-commerce platforms to improve convenience and purchase accessibility. In order to successfully increase customer satisfaction, this study suggests that Bella cosmetic products concentrate on improving their product quality, pricing strategies, distribution channels, implementing informative promotional campaigns, staff interactions,streamlining operational processes, and enhancing physical evidence. By addressing these factors, Bella can better meet customer expectations and increase overall satisfaction in the competitive cosmetics market

    This study examines the effects of marketing mix elements and social factors on consumer buying decisions for Samson tire in Mandalay City. The objectives are to identify the levels of product, price, place, promotion, and social factors, and to analyze their impact on consumer purchasing behavior. Primary data were collected from 150 respondents using a systematic sampling method during May 2025. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis,and multiple regression analysis were used to achieve the study objectives. The analysis shows that product, price, promotion, and social factors have positive and significant relationships with consumer buying decisions. The regression analysis reveals that social factors have the strongest influence, followed by price, promotion, and product, while place does not have an influence on consumer buying decisions. In contrast, lace is not significant, possibly due to the company’s selective dealer distribution strategy, which is affected by political factors such as import regulations, legal constraints, AR (account receivable) management, stock allocation, and a focus on dealer margins. These issues result in limited area coverage, low user awareness, and high dealer bargaining power. The findings suggest that Samson tire should focus on strengthening social engagement,ensuring transparent pricing, enhancing product quality, and executing targeted promotional efforts. Although place was not statistically significant, the company should improve its distribution system and market accessibility to support other marketing strategies and enhance overall consumer decision-making

    The purpose of this study is to identify the service quality and to analysis relationship between service quality dimensions and the customer satisfaction of EV taxi service of N.P.K Motors Co., Ltd. in Nay Pyi Taw by applying SERQUAL model and Stimulus theory. A positivist research philosophy and a deductive approach were adopted,employing a survey research strategy to collect primary data. A structured questionnaire using a 7-point Likert scale was distributed to a sample of 160 respondents by systematic sampling method, representing the population of EV taxi customers in Nay Pyi Taw.The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability analysis,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis to determine the influence of service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction. The findings indicate that customers perceive the overall service quality dimensions of N.P.K Motors’ EV taxis positively and overall mean score are over 5. The correlation results reveal that all service quality dimensions have significant and positive correlation with customer satisfaction. According to multiple regression analysis, this study showed that all dimensions significantly affect customer satisfaction, with tangibles, reliability and assurance at 1% significant level having the strongest relationship. Responsiveness and empathy are significant at 5% significant level. This study contributes to both theoretical and practical knowledge by applying the SERVQUAL model in an emerging EV taxi market. The findings provide actionable insights for service providers,emphasizing the importance of safety, reliability, and modern infrastructure in enhancing customer satisfaction

    This study explores the key factors that influence customer satisfaction and their intention to revisit Nan Sein Café in Naypyitaw. Using a structured questionnaire,Data were collected from 300 respondents by using the 3-in-1 systematic sampling method, from customer visiting the two branches in Naypyitaw on weekends in March 2025. The study applied a quantitative research approach, analyzing data through SPSS using reliability analysis, correlation, and regression analyses. The study focused on five major factors- food quality, price, customer service, location,and physical evidence-and their impact on customer satisfaction and revisit intention.The results showed that price, location and physical evidence had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. However, food quality and customer service had no significant effect on customer satisfaction of Nan Sein Café in Naypyitaw.Moreover, customer satisfaction strongly influenced customers’ intention to revisit the café. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining high service standards and meeting customer expectations. In particular, the café’s physical evidence was found to be the most influential in encouraging repeat visits. This study provides valuable insights for cafe managers and marketers to improve customer experience and foster loyalty in a competitive environment

    This study aims to examine factors influencing students’ buying behavior of skincare products at the University of Co-operative and Management, Sagaing. Specifically, it focuses on personal factors, social factors and psychological factors. A quantitative research approach and stratified random sampling method were adopted to collect primary data, resulting in 311 responses from students through a structured questionnaire. Secondary data were also gathered from relevant journals, textbooks, and credible online sources. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, including descriptive statistics, reliability testing, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that personal factors, social factors and psychological factors have a significant positive impact on students’ buying behavior of skincare products at the University of Co-operative and Management, Sagaing. Therefore, it has also been concluded that personal factors, social factors, motivation, learning, beliefs and attitudes were important influencing factors to develop students' buying behavior of skincare products in Sagaing. This study suggests that skincare manufacturers can develop effective marketing strategies by emphasizing personal factors, social factors and psychological factors to enhance consumers’ perceived value to increase their buying behavior. The findings might benefit skincare firms and marketers to better understand important factors underlying skincare products buying behavior among students in order to better compete in the global as well as local market

    This study examines the factors that influence job satisfaction and their impact on employee performance at M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. In the competitive hospitality industry, employee satisfaction is a key driver of service quality, customer experience, and organizational success. The primary aim of this research is to investigate how core workplace factors—pay and benefits, motivation, training, and working conditions—impact job satisfaction, and how job satisfaction, in turn, influences employee performance. A quantitative research approach was employed using structured questionnaires distributed to 100 employees selected through stratified random sampling method. Data were analyzed using SPSS, incorporating descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis to evaluate relationships among variables. The findings reveal that motivation and training are the most significant predictors of job satisfaction. While employees rated pay and benefits highly in descriptive analysis, regression results indicated only marginal significance. Working conditions, although positively perceived, did not significantly affect job satisfaction in the regression model. Furthermore, simple linear regression analysis demonstrated a strong and statistically significant relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. This suggests that satisfied employees are more likely to perform well, contribute positively to the workplace, and help achieve organizational goals. The study also highlights demographic trends, showing that M Gallery Hotel employs a predominantly young, educated, and single workforce, which is responsive to growth opportunities and development-based incentives. The results underscore the importance of investing in motivational strategies, effective training programs, and inclusive HR policies. Management is advised to move beyond financial rewards and focus on creating an engaging work environment that fosters career growth, recognition, and support. The study contributes to the existing literature on job satisfaction and performance in Myanmar’s hospitality sector, offering practical implications for hotel management seeking to enhance employee retention, satisfaction, and overall productivity

    This study investigates the Impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on organizational commitment toward job performance at HOMEGA Co., Ltd. The research focuses on four key HRM practices: recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation, and performance appraisal, and explores how they influence employees' affective, normative, and continuance commitment, which in turn affects overall job performance. The target population consisted of 150 employees, including both Managerial and Non-Managerial staff across various departments, from which 121 valid responses were obtained, representing approximately 80.7% of the target population. A stratified random sampling technique was used to ensure proportional representation of employees from different job categories and departments. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing structured questionnaires distributed to 121 employees of HOMEGA Co., Ltd. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression and simple linear regression analysis with SPSS software. The findings revealed that recruitment and selection, compensation, and performance appraisal have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, while training and development showed no significant impact. Among the three components of commitment, affective commitment was found to have the strongest positive influence on employee performance. The study concludes that HRM practices play a crucial role in fostering organizational commitment, which directly enhances employee job performance. It recommends that organizations strengthen emotionally engaging HRM strategies and improve the strategic value of training programs to maximize workforce effectiveness and long-term retention. These findings contribute to the growing body of literature on HRM practices in the Myanmar private sector context and provide practical implications for improving employee performance through effective human resource strategies

    This study explores the effect of organizational culture on job satisfaction of private schools in Keng Tong Township. Organizational culture which encompasses transformational leadership style, norms and values and supportive practice, plays a critical role for the job satisfaction. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing structured questionnaires distributed to 120 employees of private schools by using simple random sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis methods to examine the relationship between organization culture and job satisfaction of private schools in Keng Tong Township. The findings reveal that transformational leadership style, norms and values, and supportive practice are positively significant effect on job satisfaction. The study concludes with recommendations for school administrators to foster a positive cultural environment as a strategy to improve job satisfaction, employee retention, and performance. These insights are valuable for policy makers of private schools and school leaders seeking to enhance organizational effectiveness in the private education sector
