A Study of Public Trust in Healthcare Service Delivery ( Case Study : Pyay General Hospital, Bago Region) ( Ei Ei Myo, 2025)

    Get PDF
This study examined public trust in healthcare service delivery and providers, emphasising accessibility, utilisation patterns, influencing factors, and public opinion. A community-oriented, cross-sectional study was conducted among 304 individuals from urban and rural regions using a semi-structured questionnaire. The study reveals that while many respondents find healthcare services accessible and affordable, there are critical shortcomings in the consistent availability of medicines, respectful treatment by healthcare staff, and sufficient financial assistance programs. Public trust in healthcare providers is significantly lower among those with higher education levels, first-time visitors, and individuals facing financial hardships. To address these issues, healthcare systems must prioritize ensuring a reliable supply of medicines, expanding the medical workforce, and implementing effective financial support mechanisms. Additionally, improving transparency, communication, and preventive care programs is essential to build stronger trust and enhance the overall quality and equity of healthcare delivery

A Study on Challenges of Women Leaders in Civil Services and Private Organizations in Myanmar (Sai Thet Htwe, 2025)

    No full text
This study investigates the barriers and opportunities faced by women in leadership roles within Myanmar’s organizational landscape. Drawing on qualitative interviews with 41 female leaders—including CEOs, directors, and entrepreneurs— across diverse industries, the research explores the intersection of cultural norms, organizational structures, and gender-based biases that shape women's leadership experiences. Despite constitutional guarantees and international commitments to gender equality, women in Myanmar continue to encounter systemic challenges such as limited mentorship, role stereotyping, and work-life imbalance. It highlights the importance of inclusive leadership pipelines, gender-sensitive policies, and mentorship ecosystems to foster equitable representation. By contextualizing Myanmar’s gender dynamics within global frameworks like CEDAW and SDG 5, the research offers actionable recommendations for policy makers, organizations, and civil society to advance women’s leadership. Ultimately, this thesis contributes to the broader discourse on gender equity by amplifying the voices of Myanmar’s women leaders and proposing a roadmap for transformative change

Wind Speed Forecasting in Ayeyawady Region (Myat Min Soe, 2025)

    No full text
Wind speed forecasting is vital owing to its vital role in clean energy generation and its potential to support efficient integration into power grid systems. This study focuses on the maximum wind speed at the selection stations throughout the Ayeyawady Region, including Hinthada, Maubin, Phyarpon, Pathein, Ngathaingchaung, Zalun, Tagontaing, Labutta, and Myaungmya stations. These secondary data are collected from NASA POWER from January 1, 2017 to July 6, 2025. Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models are utilized to analyze the maximum wind pattern in the Ayeyawady Region. Descriptive statistics indicate that Labutta station exhibited the highest mean wind speed among the observed locations. The original maximum wind speed profiles for various stations in the Ayeyawady Region do not exhibit any trend or seasonal variation. The comparison results indicate that the LSTM model is more accurate than the ARIMA (2, 0, 1) model for all meteorological stations in the Ayeyawady Region. The LSTM-based maximum wind speed forecast shows the values ranging from 3.4 m/s to 5.4 m/s, corresponding to Force 3 on the Beaufort scale. At this level, small waves with whitecaps and steady wind that moves leaves and flags show active onshore breezes. The decline in maximum wind speed is likely caused by heavier rainfall
