A Study on Workplace Environment in Garment Industry ( Case Study : East Dagon Industrial Zone in Yangon, Myanmar) ( Khin Aye Lwin, 2025)
Get PDFThe purpose of the study is to describe the standard requirements for workplace environment in the garment industry and to examine whether the workplace conditions align with the Standards set by ILO. The study combining mixed-methods with the descriptive analytical structured survey data from 300 respondents across selected three garment factories in East Dagon Industrial Zone in Yangon. The study highlights in connection with practical evidence about how workplace conditions in Myanmar’s Garment Industry reflect international labour standards and show strengths in legal wage compliance, timely salary payment and basic health and safety measures, limited availability of refresher training programs, and varying applied of ergonomic standards. The study also ensures to have achievement in full compliance will require stronger enforcement, better institutional support, and targeted improvements at the factory level, guided by ILO standards
A Study on Knowledge and Practices of Community Animal Health Workers in Dairy Cattle Farming ( Case Study in Yangon Region) ( Khin Ohnmar Lwin, 2025)
Get PDFThe purpose of this thesis is to conduct the study of knowledge and practices of
community animal health workers (CAHWs) in dairy cattle farming of Yangon Region.
The survey was conducted in (15) Townships where the populated of dairy farming.
Simple questionnaires method was used to access the level of knowledge and practices
of (141) numbers of community animal health workers (CAHWs.) Dairy farming is
most populated in Yangon region which involved (22-39) % of Myanmar dairy cattle
population. Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs) have become the pivotal
role in extending basic veterinary services to rural and remote areas especially in dairy
cattle populated region. The study revealed several key insights into the knowledge and
practices of Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs) involved in basic health
and production in dairy cattle farming and CAHW can extend the good and close
cooperation with dairy farmers. the survey found out the challenges composed of
farming, treatment, nutrition and financial in the dairy farming by cooperating
knowledge exchange between CAHW and dairy farmers
A Study on Land Administration System Under General Administration Department in Yangon Region ( Case Study : Hmawbi District ) ( Kyaw Swar Wint, 2025)
Get PDFThis study is conducted to land administration system under Hmawbi District General Administration Department in Yangon Region. The objectives of the study are to study the current situation of land administration system in Myanmar and to examine the issue of land administration system based on Hmawbi District, Yangon Region. A sample of 123 land lease license/grant owner from Htantabin Township and Hmawbi Township chosen a random sampling method. The study found that the respondents comprehend the regulations pertaining to the issued land lease license/grant. The respondents concur that the documents necessary for applying for a land lease license/grant are straightforward and clear. The respondents agree that the General Administration Department provides a comprehensive explanation on how to apply for a land lease license/grant. Regarding the government employee, the grantee benefits from stronger ownership, the ability to conduct business depending on the type of land lease, and stronger evidence of land ownership. There will be benefits that can prevent and resolve disputes. The suggestions can significantly enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of the Land Administration System in the General Administration Department. By leveraging technology, simplifying processes, and engaging with the community, the General Administration Department can create a more effective and user-friendly system that meets the needs of its citizens
Analysis on Awareness of Reproductive Health Among Youth in Kamayut Township, Yangon Region (Khun Aung Moe Htwe, 2025)

ABSTRACT
This study explores the level of awareness and understanding of reproductive
health among youth in Kamayut Township, Yangon. As reproductive health is a vital
component of individual well-being and societal development, the research aims to
assess how informed young people aged 15–24 are about key aspects such as puberty,
menstruation, contraception, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and
access to healthcare services. Using a mixed-method approach, the study combines
quantitative data from structured questionnaires with qualitative insights from
individual. The findings indicate that although foundational awareness is present among
youth, notable limitations remain especially in their awareness of contraceptive use,
prevention of sexually transmitted infections, and the principles of reproductive rights.
Cultural taboos, lack of comprehensive sexuality education in schools, and limited
access to youth-friendly services were identified as major barriers. The study highlights
the necessary need for targeted health education initiatives, improved digital and peer-
led information channels, and enhanced support systems to empower youth in Kamayut
Township to make informed and responsible reproductive health decisions. These
findings can inform future policy development and intervention programs at both local
and national levels
Resilience of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Myikyina, Kachin State: Public Administration Perspectives ( La Ring Seng, 2025)
Get PDFSMEs serve as critical drivers of employment and local development but remain
vulnerable due to infrastructure deficits, weak institutional support, and political
instability. This study examines the resilience of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
in Myitkyina, Kachin State, from a public administration perspective. The study aims
to assess the direct impact of public administration factors on SMEs resilience, to
evaluate the moderating role of entrepreneurial adaptability and to explore Contextual
Challenges in Kachin State. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing
structured questionnaires distributed to 110 registered SMEs selected from the Central
Department of SMEs Development. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools were
used to analyze the data. The findings reveal that while SMEs in Myitkyina demonstrate
adaptability and persistence, their long-term viability is constrained by inconsistent
public services, financial exclusion, and complex regulations. Strengthening public
administration capacity and fostering responsive governance are vital to enhancing
SME resilience in fragile contexts
Assessing the Adoption of Telemedicine among Medical Practitioners in Yangon ( Lay Ko, 2025)
Get PDFTelemedicine represents a crucial healthcare solution in Myanmar, where 70%
of the population resides in rural areas with limited access to healthcare. This study
examined the adoption of telemedicine by medical practitioners in Yangon, which is
the main healthcare referral centre in Myanmar. The objectives are to assess the
knowledge, attitudes, and practical implementation of telemedicine applications
among medical practitioners, and to identify the specialties that benefit most in patient
diagnosis and treatment. A descriptive, cross-sectional study surveyed 180 medical
practitioners at Pun Hlaing and Dagon Medicare Hospitals. Results revealed moderate
levels of knowledge (mean 3.14) with significant gaps in guideline knowledge (67%
uninformed), mostly positive attitudes (mean 3.65) despite confidentiality concerns,
and fragmented practice adoption (26% routine use). COVID-19 catalyzed utilization
(68% pandemic recognition), while training deficits affected 77% of practitioners.
General Practice emerged as the top adopter in knowledge (18.4%), attitudes
(21.45%), and practice (25.45%), followed by Radiology and Internal medicine.
Statistical analysis confirmed highly significant associations between specialty and
adoption (p < 0.001), providing evidence-based guidance for specific telemedicine
implementation strategies in the Myanmar healthcare system
A Study on Agricultural Resilience in Climate-Affected Vegetable Farmers in Myanmar ( A Case of Yangon Region, Hlegu Township) ( Maung Maung Myint, 2025)
Get PDFThis study investigates the agricultural resilience of vegetable farmers in Hlegu
Township, Yangon Region, Myanmar, under the combined pressures of climate change
and rising farming costs. Using a descriptive mixed-methods approach, primary data
were collected from 93 households across Haing Ku, Kyoet Kone, and U Yin Wa
villages via Kobo Toolbox, complemented by secondary sources. Quantitative analysis
employed descriptive statistics and correlation to identify key resilience factors.
Farmers were predominantly middle-aged, cultivated small plots (less than 5 acres),
and relied heavily on farming for income. Major climate stressors included irregular
rainfall, heatwaves, pest outbreaks, and flooding, with U Yin Wa being most vulnerable.
Rising input costs and unstable markets intensified economic stress, often leading to
debt. Adaptation strategies such as crop diversification, adjusted planting schedules,
soil conservation, and improved irrigation were common, though infrastructure gaps
particularly in storage persisted. Institutional support was limited, and barriers to
technology adoption were widespread. Findings highlight the need for targeted climatesmart interventions, improved market stability, and strengthened institutional support
to enhance resilience among smallholder vegetable farmers

It was intended that details about how online learning was being practiced and how satisfied students felt would be shown. Reasons for their satisfaction was also identified. Motivation factors were examined, and it was found that group discussions, real examples, projects, and mixing theory with practice were seen as helpful for maintaining student interest. in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay, Myanmar, addressing a gap in literature on
affordable housing in developing contexts. Rapid urbanization and housing shortages in
Myanmar underscore the need for effective low-cost housing solutions, yet qualitative
aspects of resident well-being remain understudied. The primary objective is to examine
residents’ satisfaction across nine dimensions, including living conditions, infrastructure,
and socio-economic factors. Using a descriptive approach, the study collected data from
135 randomly selected residents through Likert-scale surveys, supplemented by interviews
and secondary sources. Key findings reveal that while the project meets basic shelter needs,
significant deficiencies in utility reliability, space adequacy, job opportunities, and safety
undermine overall satisfaction. Residents demonstrate resilience but highlight a disconnect
between housing provision and holistic urban quality of life

Get PDFCommunity development plays a critical role in improving rural livelihoods through infrastructure and public services. This study focuses on the effectiveness of development programs under the General Administration Department (GAD) in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region, between 2019 and 2025(March). The main objectives are to assess community awareness, participation, satisfaction, and perceptions of equity and sustainability related to these projects. A descriptive survey method was used, combining primary data from structured questionnaires with secondary data from official township records. A total of 400 respondents from 20 randomly selected villages participated in the study. The findings reveal that while 78% of respondents are aware of GAD projects, only 42% participate in planning activities. Satisfaction is highest for road and bridge construction (67%), but concerns are raised about the lack of health and education projects. The study highlights the need for more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development strategies in rural Myanmar
