Bibliography of Gap Phenomenon and Factors that Influence the Intention of Efficient/Green/Renewable Energy: PRISMA and VOSviewer

    No full text
The implementation of energy efficiency measures and sustainable energy practices is essential in addressing growing environmental challenges, aiming to mitigate climate change and ensure long-term environmental sustainability. Central to driving this transition is the use of effective marketing strategies to mobilize consumer behavior towards the adoption of energy efficiency technologies and sustainable energy alternatives. Despite increasing recognition of the importance of marketing in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability, there remains a significant gap in understanding the breadth and depth of research conducted in this domain. This study aims to address these gaps, trends, and key topics by conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis of the existing literature using preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) and VOSviewer software. A comprehensive search of publications indexed in Scopus yielded 1030 article titles, from which 40 articles were selected for further analysis. By synthesizing the findings of this study, this research seeks to determine the gap phenomena and factors that determine the intention of efficient/green/renewable energy. The results of this research are five cluster gap phenomena and factors that influence the intention of efficient/green/renewable energy, which consists of factors outside the consumer, as well as factors from within the consumer. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights and recommendations for policy makers, practitioners, and researchers to develop targeted marketing interventions capable of mobilizing consumers to adopt energy efficiency and sustainable energy practices, thereby contributing to the global transition towards a more sustainable future

Amylase-treated Sudanese Cereal-based Foods: A Low-cost Strategy to Boost Energy Intake in Young Children

    No full text
Malnutrition remains a persistent issue in Sudan, affecting millions of people, primarily children under five years old. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) alert for Sudan highlights the urgent need for multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance to save lives, prevent worsening acute malnutrition, and avert potential deaths, particularly among children. Many Sudanese children are already malnourished due to being weaned on cereal-based traditional meals. These diets are thick, highly viscous, and low in nutrient density for young children. Therefore, an immediate evaluation (e.g., of traditional complementary foods) and action (e.g., improving nutritional practices among healthcare providers and increasing public awareness) are necessary to address the high levels of acute malnutrition and prevent loss of life. This short communication outlines a practical method to produce ARP and its incorporation into common cereal-based foods; this approach may help reduce viscosity and increase energy density in complementary feeding. This study presents a compelling case for using amylasetreated cereal-based foods to fight malnutrition in Sudan. It combines scientific insight with practical application, making it an invaluable resource for both researchers and policymakers. Future research into the implementation challenges and long-term effects of ARF consumption is recommended

    No full text
Background: Obesity and metabolic syndrome (MetS), as components of excess body weight, have reached global epidemic levels. Objective: The study aimed to investigate the features of the MetS course in men and women of reproductive age. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 140 participants aged between 35 and 49 yr at City Polyclinics No. 1, 3, and 4, Aktobe, Kazakhstan from March 2016–2019. Participants were divided into 2 subgroups based on diagnosis of MetS. The case group (with MetS), and the control group (without MetS) (n = 70/each consisted of 40 women and 30 men). Anthropometric, instrumental, and laboratory methods were used to confirm the diagnosis of MetS and determine its features in both groups. Results: The results showed an increase in the uric acid level in the blood to 431.00 ± 66.37 μmol/L and 5.47 ± 0.90 mol/day in the urine. Dyslipidemia was also noted in the case group of individuals with high-density lipoprotein levels of 1.22 ± 0.27 mmol/L vs. 1.32 ± 0.47 mmol/L in the control group. The testosterone level was 16.4 ± 3.04 nmol/L in the case group and 20.3 ± 5.6 nmol/L in the control. The difference in testosterone level was found to be statistically significant (p < 0.01). Conclusion: The analysis of sex hormone levels did not reveal any stable trends that could be considered diagnostic. That may indicate a correlation with the reproductive age characteristics of the examined individuals (men and women): significant differences between hormone levels were fixed in the case and control groups

    No full text
Aromatic ginger (Kaempferia galanga) contains bioactive components with potential functional benefits, such as phenolic compounds and antioxidants. This study aimed to assess the effect of soaking time on the total phenolic content and antioxidant activities of aromatic ginger. Fresh ginger was washed, sliced, and soaked in boiling water for 0, 10, and 20 minutes. The solutions were then filtered and analyzed for total phenolic content and radical scavenging activities using the DPPH and ABTS assays. The results showed that a 10-minute soaking time yielded the highest total phenolic content (5.35 mg GAE/100g), while the lowest phenolic content (2.97 mg GAE/100g) was observed at 0 minutes. DPPH radical scavenging activity ranged from 1.02% to 5.67%, with the highest activity occurring after 20 minutes of soaking. Similarly, ABTS radical scavenging activity peaked at 80.12% after 10 minutes of soaking. These findings suggest that both phenolic content and antioxidant activity are significantly affected by soaking time

    No full text
The discourse of banning investigative journalists in changes to the draft law on public broadcasting has given rise to various criticisms, coming from various parties who did not agree with it. This prohibition is considered a form of restraint on press freedom. In fact, politically, press freedom is a mandate for reform and a pillar of democracy. This article examines two things: What form of criticism does the discourse on prohibiting investigative journalists in the Public Broadcasting Law Draft take? What is the relevance of this criticism to a critical theory of communication? This is library research, and the data sources used are secondary resources in the form of documents published in online media. Data were collected using documentation techniques, namely taking document data from online media by entering keywords on the digital platform and then reading and selecting those that were relevant to the research problem. The theory used is the critical theory of communication, which emphasizes the criticism of power structures and domination in society. The research results show that criticism of the discourse on prohibiting investigative journalists in the Public Broadcasting Law Draft came from politicians, press organizations and academics. According to TB Hasanuddin, a Member of the DPR RI from the PDI-P faction, a ban on investigative journalists could suppress democracy. According to Nani Afrida, who is the General Chair of the Alliance of Independent Journalists, a prohibition on investigative journalists can silence the press. According to Jaduk Gilang Pembayun, the ban on investigative journalists is a form of limitation on the activities and movements of the media. In the context of the critical theory of communication, the discourse regarding the ban on investigative journalists is a form of control over journalists’ activities. Furthermore, it disseminates a democratic ideology that supports the current power structure
