Design of a Digital Ethnomathematics Module Based on Augmented Reality: A Study on Geometric Concepts Through the Exploration of the Mande Karesemen for Elementary Schools
This study presents the design of a digital ethnomathematics module using augmented reality (AR) to enhance the learning of geometric concepts for elementary school students, integrating local cultural elements from the Mande Karesemen at Keraton Kesepuhan, Cirebon. Employing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, the research focuses on developing an interactive module that aligns with students’ cognitive development and curriculum standards, specifically targeting 4th and 5th-grade students. The module incorporates threedimensional (3D) models of cultural artifacts, enabling students to explore and visualize shapes, symmetry, area, and perimeter in a culturally contextualized manner. The AR feature allows students to engage with the historical and cultural aspects of the Keraton Kesepuhan, experiencing architectural designs that embody geometric concepts. Additional features include AR-based virtual tours, narrated instructions, gamified quizzes, and offline accessibility, fostering a deeper connection between mathematical concepts and cultural heritage. By facilitating active exploration, the module helps bridge the gap between abstract mathematical principles and tangible, real-world examples. This innovative approach addresses challenges in elementary mathematics education by improving student engagement, understanding, and cultural awareness through an immersive and meaningful learning experience, making mathematics more relevant and accessible to students by incorporating their local culture and heritage into the learning process
Elementary Teachers’ Perception of Language Skills: Student Skills and Learning Strategy
Language skills are an important aspect in the development of education in elementary schools because this ability influences students’ academic achievement and social abilities. Language skills that elementary school students must master include listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.Therefore, teachers must understand the extent of language skills each elementary school student possesses. This research aims to explore teachers’ perceptions of the language skills possessed by students in elementary schools, as well as the challenges faced in the teaching process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews. Participants in this research were 15 elementary school teachers in West Bandung. The research results show that the majority of teachers have a positive perception of the importance of language skills in students. However, teachers also expressed challenges in implementing effective learning strategies, such as limited time, lack of appropriate teaching materials, and differences in language abilities among students. This study suggests the need for ongoing training for teachers and the development of teaching materials that better suit students’ needs. In conclusion, teachers’ perceptions of language skills are very important in determining learning success, but further support is still needed in terms of resources and learning methods
Application of the 7E Learning Cycle Model Assisted by Papeca Media to Enhance Fraction Concept Understanding in Second Grade Students in Malang City
This research aims to enhance the understanding of fraction concepts, specifically half and quarter fractions, using papeca media through the implementation of the Learning Cycle 7E model. The study involved 27 second-grade students, consisting of 15 boys and 12 girls. Data collection methods included tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ understanding of fractions after applying the Learning Cycle 7E model with the assistance of papeca media. The percentage of mastery increased from 30% in the pre-action phase to 56% in Cycle I and further to 89% in Cycle II. Similarly, the average score rose from 43.3 in the pre-action phase to 76.9 in Cycle I and 84.6 in Cycle II
The Assessment Instruments of Social and Environment Literacy in Science Learning for Elementary School
This study aims to describe the characteristics of social and environmental literacy assessment instruments, the logical feasibility of assessment instruments, the empirical feasibility of assessment instruments, and the environmental literacy profile in science learning on natural appearance for elementary school. This research uses the ADDIE model and the R&D method. The research object is 18 students from the fifth-grade Elementary School 44 Bengkulu City in the 2023/2024 academic year. The instruments used were interview guidelines, questionnaires, and environmental literacy attitude questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include analysis of expert validation and reliability results, trial results, and environmental literacy profiles. The results show the following: The assessment instrument of social and environmental literacy consists of descriptors, tolerance, living in harmony and peace, and communication, while the natural environment consists of indicators of responsibility, awareness and concern, knowledge and understanding of problems, and repeated actions for maintenance. The environmental literacy assessment instrument has met the validity and reliability requirements of two validators. The social environmental literacy assessment instrument consists of 10 items, eight valid items were obtained, while for natural environmental literacy, all ten items were valid. Lastly, the percentage of environmental literacy in natural science learning on natural appearance material for fifth-grade elementary school students shows social literacy of 79.44% and environmental literacy of 87.3%
Impact Technology Factors on Trust and Intent to Use QRIS
Electronic payment systems have become an important part of modern life, driven by rapid advancements in digital technology. One such innovation is the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) payment system, developed by Bank Indonesia to simplify and unify various electronic payment services. This study explores the influence of key technological factors in users’ intentions to adopt QRIS, with trust acting as a mediating variable. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research investigates how perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and security/privacy affect users’ willingness to adopt QRIS. Trust identified as a critical link between these technological factors and adoption intention. The study aims develop a conceptual framework that highlights trust as a mediator in QRIS adoption. This article provides insights into user experiences, prior studies on QRIS technology, and the implications of its adoption. The findings are intended to help both current and prospective users understand the benefits of QRIS, while emphasizing the importance of building trust to drive wider acceptance
Investigating the Core Variables of Employee Performance: A PRISMA Systematic Review
This study aims to identify the key factors influencing employee performance and to understand the relationships between these factors and workforce outcomes. The research employs the PRISMA methodology (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) to conduct a systematic literature review. Data were gathered by searching the Scopus database using the keyword “factors influencing employee performance.” Only the most recent articles from the past three years that met predetermined inclusion criteria were selected, resulting in 22 relevant studies. The analysis reveals that the type of leadership, organizational culture, employee engagement, and human resource management practices significantly impact employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of implementing management strategies that focus on leadership development, organizational culture, and efficiently managing human resources to improve employee performance
Determinants of Continuance Intention by Developing the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM): A Study of OVO Fintech Application Users in Indonesia
This research aims to explore the factors influencing the continued use of the OVO fintech application in Indonesia. As digital payment platforms become increasingly common in today’s digital era, OVO has emerged as one of the country’s leading fintech services. The study issues a quantitative approach with a sample of 500 respondents selected using purposive sampling, allowing for specific criteria to guide the inclusion of participants. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using the fractional minimum quadratic terms method. Of the 13 research hypotheses, 11 were found to significantly influence users’ intention to continue using the application. However, two hypotheses were not supported: perceived usefulness was found to have no significant effect on user satisfaction or continuance intention. These findings offer valuable insights for fintech developers in Indonesia, highlighting areas for improving user experience and boosting wider market adoption. This study is expected to inform future marketing strategies and feature development for the OVO fintech application, ultimately fostering greater user loyalty in an increasingly competitive fintech landscape
Prevalence and Risk Factors of Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy in Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Taking Oral Antidiabetic Medications
Background: Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) is a significant complication of long-term diabetes in Sudan. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and risk factors of diabetic retinopathy among Sudanese individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are taking oral antidiabetic medication.
Methods: This cross-sectional, facility-based study recruited 196 individuals with type 2 diabetes at the Jabir Abu Eliz Diabetes Health Center in Khartoum State. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, which patients filled out after providing informed consent. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Logistic regression was performed to predict factors associated with diabetic retinopathy.
Results: The mean age of the patients was 50.1 ± 10.7 years. The prevalence of NPDR was 78 (39.8%). Bivariate analysis revealed that age, education level, and residence (Pvalue < 0.05) were significantly associated with diabetic retinopathy. Additional factors that were significantly associated with diabetic retinopathy included the duration of diabetes, the presence of other comorbidities, HbA1c, and fasting blood glucose in 68 (87.2%) individuals (P-value < 0.05).
Conclusion: The study revealed a prevalence of 39.8% for NPDR in this cohort. A longer duration of diabetes and poor control are the primary risk factors for diabetic retinopathy in Sudan. Further research is necessary to determine whether intensifying therapy or administering insulin may reduce the prevalence of retinopathy

Unique Findings of Sickle Cell Retinopathy in a Patient with Hemoglobin SE Disease
Purpose: To report the second documented case of spontaneous sickle cell retinopathy due to hemoglobin SE disease, and the third in association with this condition overall. Case Report: An asymptomatic 19-year-old African American woman with hemoglobin SE disease and no other significant past medical history presented for a routine eye exam. Fundoscopy revealed two sunburst lesions in the temporal periphery of her right eye and one such lesion in the temporal periphery of her left eye. No definitive signs of neovascularization were detected on fluorescein angiography, although multiple areas of abnormal vasculature and distal nonperfusion were observed. Conclusion: Spontaneous peripheral retinopathy can develop at an early age in hemoglobin SE disease. Given the risk for complications, pediatric screening with regular fundoscopic examination may benefit such patients
