Health System Governance Capacity in Handling Stunting in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency
Stunting is currently one of the most prevalent nutritional problems in Indonesia and has become the focus of an ongoing national intervention program. Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by insufficient food intake over a relatively long period of time. A health governance system that can encourage a reduction in stunting rates is needed. This study aims to analyze the capacity of health system governance in handling stunting in South Bolaang Mongondow District. This research used a qualitative approach. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. Informants in this study were local government officials at various related agencies, Posyandu cadres, village midwives, and village heads involved in handling stunting. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the capacity of health system governance in handling stunting in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency is not fully adequate. This is because the human resources who play a role in handling stunting are not all trained in multidimensional stunting case management. Villages that are expected to allocate funds for handling stunting have not shown their commitment by implementing the stunting prevention program. The training provided has not been sustainable and equitable, in addition to limitations to its budget
Solution Analysis of Institutional Isomorphic Effects in the New Autonomous Region: A Quantitative Study on the Management of Apparatus Resource Development in Southwest Papua Province
This study examines solutions to overcome the negative impacts of institutional isomorphism in the development of human resources of civil servants in the Province of West Papua as a New Autonomous Region with specific characteristics. A quantitative study with 410 ASN respondents identified four main gaps due to institutional isomorphism. The results of the study prove that three interventions, namely, Contextual Adaptation Mechanism (MKA), needs-ased program differentiation (DIF), and impact-based evaluation system (SIS), are effective in reducing the gap in human resource development. Regression analysis shows that all three interventions have a significant effect, with MKA having the greatest effect (β = -0.385), followed by DIF (β = -0.316) and SIS (β = -0.209). A negative coefficient indicates an inverse relationship, where increasing implementation of interventions consistently reduces the gap in human resource development in new autonomous regions
Social Capital in the Implementation of Food Diversification Policy: A Systematic Review With Bibliometric Analysis
This study aims to map and analyze the development of global scientific literature related to the role of social capital in food diversification policy implementation during the period from 2019 to 2025. Using a bibliometric approach based on the Scopus database, this study compiles a quantitative analysis of 163 selected documents through co-word techniques, field distribution, and geographic collaboration mapping. Results show a significant upward trend in the number of annual publications, especially post-COVID-19, as attention to community-based food security increases in response to the global food system crisis. The thematic distribution shows the dominance of contributions from social, agricultural, and environmental sciences, confirming the multidisciplinary character of the study. Indonesia recorded the largest number of contributors geographically, followed by the United States, China, and Australia, with a strong tendency towards contextualized, local community-based approaches. Keyword analysis identified a concentration of themes on community empowerment, sustainable food security, and participatory governance. Theoretically, the findings suggest that social capital functions not just as an enabling variable, but rather as a structural determinant in food policy effectiveness, particularly within the framework of polycentric and transformative governance. The main contribution of this study lies in systematically mapping the position of social capital in the food diversification discourse, as well as filling a void in the literature that has been dominated by technocratic and agronomic approaches. The practical implications of this study include the urgency of integrating social capital strengthening strategies into a more adaptive, participatory, and contextualized food policy design. This study also opens space for a further research agenda to explore the relational and institutional dimensions of social capital more deeply within the framework of equitable and sustainable food securit
Shared Power, Responsibility, and Trust in Collaborative Management in the Institutional Team for Accelerating Stunting Reduction in Southwest Papua Province
Stunting is a complex problem that requires government intervention based on collaboration. This collaborative approach in practice is through the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS). Encouraging an effective collaboration process requires shared power, responsibility, and trust between collaborating actors. Therefore, this study aims to analyze shared power, responsibility, and trust in collaboration management in the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) institution in West Papua Province. This study uses a qualitative approach. The informants interviewed were actors or regional apparatus organizations involved as institutional members of the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team in Southwest Papua Province. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that stunting reduction through TPPS institutions was less effective due to sectoral egos. Shared power is not evenly distributed, especially for policies and budgets. The greatest responsibility is held by the regional apparatus organizations that are the leading sectors in stunting reduction compared to other members of the TPPS. All members of the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) build trust with each other in the collaboration process
Analysis of the Utilization of the Online Mandatory Corporate Employment Report Platform in Compliance with the Implementation of Employment Norms in South Sulawesi Province
The Mandatory Employment Report Platform (WLKP) is one of the digital innovations in employment supervision developed by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. The Corporate Employment Reporting Mandatory Platform has been used in Indonesia since 2017 to increase transparency in monitoring the company’s compliance with labor norms. This study aims to analyze the use of the online WLKP in South Sulawesi Province in the hope of providing input related to better employment governance policies in the future. The research method used is mixed methods (descriptive-qualitative and quantitative). The total company population in this study is 40,867 companies and 27 informants (10 labour inspectors, 16 company administrators, and 1 WLKP admin). The results of the study show that the percentage of compliance with companies related to WLKP online in South Sulawesi Province for 2022 is 2.8%, in 2023 as much as 9.45%, in 2024 as much as 10.2%, and at the end of April 2025 as much as 14.43%. Of course, this achievement is still categorized as very low in its utilization. The online WLKP platform has helped in making it easier for labor supervisors to conduct inspections; however, there are still obstacles experienced by companies in terms of socialization, data accuracy, company responsiveness, digital infrastructure, and system integration. The recommendations include increasing capacity for users, especially labor inspectors and the company in the form of WLKP technical guidance, adding features and integration with a wider system, and enforcing legal sanctions for employers who have not complied
Implementing Collaborative Governance in Investment for Regional Development in Southwest Papua
This article examines the application of a collaborative governance approach in regional investment management, emphasizing the importance of multiactor involvement across sectors. Sorong City, as the gateway to the Southwest Papua region, has a strategic position to become a pilot project for a collaborative investment governance model that is participatory and adaptive to the local context. The perspective of investment policy management is closely related to governance, where the process and systematics of investment services begin with the government process, which then develops into investment opportunities and realities in the region. This article aims to critically examine theoretically the various potential applications of a collaborative governance approach in investment governance in Sorong City, as well as to formulate policy strategies that can encourage the creation of inclusive, transparent, and sustainable investment. The research technique used is a qualitative approach by searching for relevant literature and a number of secondary data sources through reports of various study results that focus on the involvement of collaborative governance in investment services. The formation of data sourced from literature and secondary data is then analyzed using an argumentative approach to explain the application of collaborative governance that has the potential to increase transparency, effectiveness, and sustainability of investment in the West Papua Province. The results of the study indicate that the process of applying the principle of collaborative governance in increasing investment to encourage regional development in the West Papua region, especially Sorong City, has various structural and cultural challenges. From the perspective of regional government bureaucracy, the social structure of crocodiles greatly determines the application of the collaborative governance approach in increasing investment potential through communication channels between actor and agency networks and expanding access with the concept of coaching. In addition, the development of investment programs in the context of Sorong City regional development planning should be an inseparable part, so that internal strength becomes an effective locomotive in the framework of encouraging investment access. A number of obstacles were found conceptually and through analysis of data reports from various sources found both internally and externally
Do Remittances Drive Household Consumption and Economic Growth in Indonesia?
This study aims to provide empirical evidence on whether remittances contribute to increasing household consumption and economic growth in Indonesia. The study employs quarterly time series data spanning the period from 2010Q1 to 2024Q4. To estimate the long-run relationships among the variables, the study applies three econometric techniques: Fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS), dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS), and canonical cointegrating regression (CCR). The empirical findings reveal that remittances from Malaysia have a positive but statistically insignificant effect on household consumption. In contrast, remittances from Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia show a positive and statistically significant impact on household consumption. Meanwhile, remittances from Taiwan exhibit a negative and insignificant effect. Regarding economic growth, remittances from Malaysia and Hong Kong are found to have a positive and significant influence. Remittances from Taiwan have a positive but insignificant effect, while those from Saudi Arabia exert a negative and statistically insignificant impact on Indonesia’s economic growth
The Role of Digitization of the Economy and Electronic Commerce in Reshaping the Labor and Financial Markets
This research embodies the nature of the relationship between the outputs of technological revolution, particularly digital transformation, and the expected opportunities and mechanisms of work in light of the changing requirements of the current labor and financial markets. This is achieved by monitoring and analyzing the key fundamental changes related to the economy and activities that are shifting towards digital transformation, along with the significant developments occurring within them. The study adopts an analytical research model through a case study of several economic indicators that have been directly affected by the new phenomenon of digitization. It examines the resulting preference for certain activities while others decline, leading to an increase in demand for specific market segments and a decrease for others. Therefore, it is essential to integrate the results of digital transformations with the adaptations and impacts on the labor market to highlight more beneficial and comprehensive outcomes regarding the fundamental changes related to the components and elements of the business environment and the labor market in today’s world due to digital transformation
Analysis of the Impact of Fiscal and Monetary Policies on Non-oil Merchandise Exports in Iraq (2004–2022)
The research aims to analyze the reality of fiscal and monetary policies and the tools used to study them after 2004. It also analyzes the relationship between fiscal and monetary policies and non-oil commodity exports in Iraq during the research period, measures the impact of the former on the latter using standard tools, and draws conclusions. This research is important because fiscal and monetary policies support non-oil commodity exports in order to reduce the control of the oil sector and avoid fluctuations in oil prices. This research also focuses on the policy tools through which foreign trade can be supported and exports diversified. Therefore, non-oil exports have become an indispensable necessity in order to get out of dependence on oil economies and the resulting global financial crises. Several conclusions were reached, the most important of which is that fiscal and monetary policies did not play a positive role in supporting non-oil commodity exports in Iraq between 2004 and 2022, while the results indicated the existence of a long-term equilibrium given the variables of fiscal policies. This study also provides a set of recommendations, including: working to encourage non-oil commodity exports by supporting scientific policies that aim to develop the economic sectors in general and the commercial sector in particular, reach technical methods through which production can be improved both in type and quality, and to develop investment spending in Iraq
