The Influence of PHBS and CTPS Education on Increasing Student Knowledge at SD Negeri 04 Air Hitam Village, Datuk Lima Puluh District
Full text linkPurpose: This study aims to increase knowledge and awareness of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) and handwashing with soap (CTPS) in fourth grade students at SD Negeri 04 Air Hitam Village, Batubara Regency through interactive and participatory educational activities.
Method: The method used was a quantitative pre-experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design involving 49 fourth-grade students. Educational activities included interactive lectures, discussions, CTPS practice simulations using songs, illustrative images, and educational games tailored to the children's characteristics.
Practical Applications: The results showed a significant increase in the average knowledge score from 6.35 to 8.12, as well as an increase in the proportion of students with good knowledge from 61.2% to 91.8%. Furthermore, students demonstrated high enthusiasm and a temporary change in attitudes toward handwashing practices. Teachers responded positively and stated the need for similar, ongoing activities to support the formation of healthy habits. Challenges to implementation included limited handwashing facilities, crowded classrooms, and limited time.
Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach involving teachers, parents, and facility management so that the implementation of PHBS and CTPS can be sustainable and have a real impact on behavioral changes in the school environment
Survey of Aedes sp. Using Ovitrap to Prevent DHF in Beti Ogan Ilir Village
Full text linkPurpose: This community service activity aims to provide education and introduce ovitrap to residents of Beti Village, Ogan Ilir Regency so that they can use inexpensive, simple, and safe mosquito traps as one of the efforts to control Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
Method: This service consists of counseling knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors about DFH using a pre-test and post-test as measuring tools, as well as making ovitrap skills.
Practical Applications: This activity was successful in raising public awareness about the benefits of ovitrap, how to make them, attractants, and how to install them. The results of the ovitrap survey show that Aedes sp. is frequently found in ovitrap installed outside the house.
Conclusion: Education to the public has an impact on increasing community awareness and knowledge of DFH prevention. Ovitrap can be used as basic information for the community to improve the clean environment by decreasing mosquito breeding sites
Implementation of Differentiation Learning Through ClassPoint-Integrated PowerPoint-Based Media at Junior High School 4 Tambang
Full text linkPurpose: This study aims to increase teachers' knowledge of differentiated learning, and the use of PowerPoint-based learning media integrated with ClassPoint.
Method: Data was collected through initial and final tests to measure teachers' knowledge, feedback questionnaires to evaluate the training experience, and practice observations to assess the application of the material. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively by comparing test results and qualitatively through analysis of feedback and practice observations.
Practical Application: Improve teachers' understanding of the concept of differentiated learning and the use of PowerPoint media integrated with ClassPoint, making learning more interactive.
Conclusion: The participants were actively involved in the delivery of materials and practices and were satisfied with the training, from the delivery of materials to technical support. The average score of the participants' initial test was 85.00, which increased to 88.00 after the training, indicating an increase in understanding

This effort was driven by the decrease in donors since the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected the economy in the orphanage's surrounding community. The business ventures include refillable water and laundry services.
Method: The methods used in this service include training, technology application, technology assistance, and sustainability.
Practical Application: The goal of this community service is to provide training and guidance on integrated marketing communication within the orphanage environment to improve the economy. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Siti Khadijah Al-Kubra Orphanage.
Conclusion: This community service activity resulted in approximately 90% understanding among participants regarding integrated marketing communication, small business management, and the application of technology to support business sustainability
Training on Solar Cell Utilization for Edutourism Enhancement
Full text linkPurpose: This study article seeks to examine the efficacy of a training program centered on solar cell application to improve edutourism in Pulau Pari. The study seeks to tackle the issue of insufficient knowledge and skills in renewable energy within the local community and emphasize the importance of integrating sustainable practices in the tourism industry.
Method: This investigation implements a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data was gathered using pre- and post-training evaluations to assess the enhancement of participants' knowledge and skills. Qualitative data was acquired via interviews and observations to elucidate the individuals' experiences and perceptions. The data underwent analysis by descriptive statistics and thematic analysis.
Practical Applications: The results of this study have practical implications for the tourism industry as a whole and for the local community of Pulau Pari. The outputs of the training program can guide the creation of analogous programs in other locations, fostering the implementation of renewable energy and sustainable practices in edutourism. The findings may also assist policymakers and tourist stakeholders in incorporating solar cell implementation into their strategy for sustainable tourism development.
Conclusion: The study's results demonstrate that the training program on solar cell application for enhancing edutourism in Pari Island has successfully improved participants' knowledge and abilities in renewable energy. The program can enhance the island's sustainable development by diminishing reliance on traditional energy sources and fostering eco-friendly tourism habits. The findings highlight the importance of integrating renewable energy education and training into community-based tourism programs to promote sustainability and resilience against global environmental concerns

Practical Applications: This initiative is designed to equip Dimsum Lunaire MSMEs with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize digital marketing tools effectively. By leveraging social media platforms and AI, the MSMEs are better positioned to adapt to the digital era, improve their marketing strategies, and expand their customer base.
Conclusion: The community service has demonstrated that digital marketing training and support for Dimsum Lunaire MSMEs resulted in valuable outcomes such as well-structured content plans, high-quality product photos, engaging content designs, and an operational website. These resources will enable Dimsum Lunaire to continue developing and improving their digital marketing efforts
Upskilling and Reskilling Non-Communicable Disease Cadres for Increasing Chronic Disease Management
Full text linkPurpose: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are often chronic diseases, with the incidence rate increasing every year. All elements are involved in the prevention and management of NCDs. Likewise, NCDs posbindu cadres are the spearhead in the community. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of NCDs posbindu cadres in efforts to prevent, early detect, manage and report NCDs.
Method: The method used in community service uses a knowledge transfer approach, science and technology diffusion, asset-based community development and participatory action programs. All cadres of NCDs and Puskesmas were involved in this activity. The program implementation procedure is preceded by socialization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Practical Application: The implementation of upskilling and reskilling cadre activities is carried out in 2 stages. There are improving cognitive knowledge with structured education, then the next stage is skill improvement with early detection demonstrations using medical devices.
Conclusion: This Upskilling and rekskilling activity for posbindu cadres can improve the knowledge and skills of NCDs posbindu cadres

Method: Using a qualitative, participatory approach, students engaged in collecting, cleaning, and repurpose plastic waste into collage art. Data was gathered through observation and documentation of student work.
Practical Application: The activity reduced plastic waste in schools and enhanced students' creativity, fine motor skills, and environmental consciousness. This method can be applied in other schools as a practical environmental education tool.
Conclusion: The collage method effectively promotes creativity and early environmental awareness while offering a sustainable approach to managing plastic waste in educational settings
