    Implementation of IoT-based Appropriate Technology in the Rabbit Farming Group in Sumberejo Village

    Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve the productivity and welfare of rabbit breeders through the implementation of innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based cages. This innovation includes automatic monitoring of cage temperature and humidity and an automated roll system for waste disposal. Method: The program is implemented using extension, training, practice, and equipment handover methods at the "Ternak Kelinci" Livestock Group, Sumberejo Village, Batu City. Practical Applications: IoT devices enable real-time monitoring of cage conditions via smartphone, while automated roll systems help maintain cage cleanliness and reduce the risk of disease. Conclusion: This program has succeeded in increasing farmers' knowledge about modern cage management, making livestock care easier, and is expected to reduce rabbit mortality rates and increase farmers' income

    Improving Understanding of the Definitive Group Needs Plan (RDKK) Through the Role of KKN in Cikole Village, Sumedang

    Purpose: This community service aimed to improve farmer group (Gapoktan) understanding of the Definitive Group Needs Plan (RDKK) system in Cikole Village, Sumedang, to address poor distribution of subsidized fertilizers caused by gaps in knowledge and capacity. The goal was to empower Gapoktan so farmers could better access essential agricultural inputs. Method: A qualitative case study with a participatory approach was used, involving field observations, interviews, and a socialization session led by KKN students and the local Agriculture and Food Security Unit. The intervention focused on clarifying Gapoktan’s roles and responsibilities within the RDKK process. Practical Applications: The activity successfully transferred knowledge about the RDKK system, enabling Gapoktan to take direct action in managing their fertilizer needs. Farmer groups shifted from passive recipients to active participants by updating and verifying member data in the e-RDKK system. Conclusion: The KKN program significantly improved Gapoktan’s understanding and sense of responsibility regarding the RDKK, correcting the misconception that registration was solely the task of extension workers. This change supports more accurate, fair, and efficient fertilizer distribution, strengthening local institutional capacity and food security

Addressing these issues is crucial to enhancing the organization's effectiveness and impact. Method: The study involved a management training program using lectures, role-playing, and discussions to enhance participants' leadership, planning, and control skills. Practical Applications: The findings provide practical strategies to improve management in non-profit organizations, enhancing their effectiveness and sustainability, especially in youth-driven initiatives. Conclusion: The training improved key skills in leadership and planning, offering valuable insights into resolving managerial challenges and optimizing non-profit organizations' operations

    Purpose: The community service activity by the University of Bengkulu Geophysics and Physics Team aimed to assist the community of Kandang Limun, Bengkulu City, by developing maps that display area boundaries and topographical elevations. The maps were intended to serve as easily accessible sources of information for the local community and to aid in planning and development efforts.Method: The methodology involved conducting a preliminary survey, collecting data, preparing software tools, and creating both boundary and topographic maps. A questionnaire was distributed to assess community satisfaction with the project.Practical Applications: The maps provide valuable information for local government and residents, serving as a resource for defining area boundaries and understanding topographical features. These maps are particularly useful for urban planning, land use, and community development initiatives.Conclusion: The creation and public display of administrative and topographical maps in the Kelurahan office have improved access to essential geographical information. This initiative supports better community planning and contributes to the informed development of the area, benefiting both the local government and residents

    Purpose: This study aims to explore and map the untapped potential of Tungu Village, a coastal area with resources like marine products, waterfalls, Mairang Island, and mangrove forests. The goal is to highlight how these assets can be developed to boost the local economy and turn the village into a unique tourist destination. Method: The project involves mapping Tungu’s tourism and economic potential, focusing on marine tourism, mangrove education tours, and cultural heritage. Data will be gathered through site visits and community discussions to identify key resources and development opportunities. Practical Applications: The mapping will guide village authorities in increasing income through marine tourism, seafood processing, educational tours, and cultural tourism. Developing these areas offers sustainable growth and new revenue streams for the community. Conclusion: The study provides a plan for unlocking Tungu Village's potential, offering a pathway to economic development through tourism and local resources. Success will require collaboration between the village, local government, and community members

    Accompaniment in Determining the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) And Product Branding at D'zegerrr As a Micro Small and Medium Enterprise

    Purpose: This study aims to assist the MSME "D'Zegerrr" in improving their Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) determination, product branding, and social media optimization. Established during the Covid-19 pandemic, "D'Zegerrr" produces traditional herbal drinks but faces challenges in accurately calculating COGS and creating a strong brand presence. Method: Analyzing current production costs, refining the COGS calculation using the Full Variable Costing method, improving product branding with a suitable slogan and packaging, and optimizing social media usage. Practical Applications: Practical applications of the study include helping the business better understand cost components, enhance brand identity, and increase engagement on social media platforms. Conclusion: The results show that by recalculating the COGS, "D'Zegerrr" can price their products more accurately, ensuring a fair profit margin. Additionally, the adoption of the slogan "Your health comes first" and the use of social media for brand promotion have increased customer awareness, positioning the MSME for greater market success

    Purpose: Omah Singkong MSMEs focuses on processing frozen tubers and has significant potential in the local economy of Malang City. The purpose of this community service is to provide comprehensive assistance by utilizing technology, especially the vacuum sealer machine, to improve product quality and competitiveness and marketing strategies. Consequently, this MSMEs is expected to expand its market share, increase income, and become a pillar of a sustainable and inclusive local economy. Method: The following methods were used: 1) problem identification; 2) implementation of activities; and 3) program evaluation. These activities were carried out at the Omah Singkong MSMEs, Karangploso, Malang Regency. Practical Applications: The results of this community services activity are evident in the improved quality and competitiveness of Omah Singkong MSMEs products using the Vacuum Sealer machine to improve packaging efficiency and extend the shelf life of frozen products. Moreover, the provided managerial training has a positive impact by enhancing skills in operational management, stock management, and marketing strategies, preparing MSMEs to take a more active role in supporting local economic growth and improving the welfare of society. Conclusion: This community service program improved Omah Singkong MSMEs’ product quality and competitiveness through vacuum sealer technology and managerial training. These enhancements support market expansion, income growth, and the MSMEs’ role in Malang’s local economy

Practical Applications: The implementation of this community service initiative facilitates the enhancement of digital literacy among teachers, particularly in developing infographics for blended learning. Teachers are equipped to create and evaluate infographics while maintaining focus on content, creator, and visual elements.Conclusion: The study underscores the importance of equipping teachers with skills to integrate infographics into teaching, enhancing engagement and interactivity in the learning process. The study emphasizes the importance of preserving traditional foods, such as Sombu, a corn-based dish from Manggarai Regency, and demonstrates how modernization can help these foods compete in today's market. Method: The research employed a combination of Brainstorming sessions, business management strategies, and techniques for making, processing, and marketing traditional foods. The study involved selecting specific locations and subjects for service to ensure targeted and effective interventions. Practical Applications: The findings highlight the potential for local food innovations to rejuvenate traditional culinary practices, making them competitive with foreign alternatives. This research opens opportunities for young people, especially students, to engage in creative and profitable culinary innovations, thereby sustaining cultural heritage and stimulating economic growth. Conclusion: The study successfully showcased new innovations in local food processing, resulting in modernized traditional foods that can compete with international products. These innovations not only preserve cultural heritage but also motivate the younger generation to contribute to creative and profitable culinary practices

    Purpose: This study aimed to address the impact of Covid-19 and government policies on women's creativity and entrepreneurship in Ngenep Village, Karangploso, Malang Regency. Specifically, it focused on enhancing digital literacy through Canva application training to support women entrepreneurs in promoting their products effectively. Method: The study employed a community-based approach, conducting training sessions on digital literacy utilizing Canva. Data on participants' competence and subsequent sales were collected and analyzed to measure the effectiveness of the training. Practical Applications: The findings underscore the importance of digital literacy in empowering women entrepreneurs, particularly during crises like the Covid-19 pandemic. The training equips them with practical skills to promote their products, thereby enhancing their economic resilience and contributing to community development.Conclusion: The research highlights the pivotal role of digital literacy training, using tools like Canva, in supporting women's entrepreneurship in rural areas. By improving promotional capabilities, women entrepreneurs in Ngenep Village can potentially increase sales and positively impact their communities' economic well-being
