    Duties of Directors under the Iranian Law: A Rigorous Review in Comparison with Other Jurisdictions

    Directors' duties establish legally enforceable standards to ensure that directors act in their company's best interests. As individuals, directors may not always act perfectly, but they officially represent the company and must adhere to their responsibilities. Effective prosecution and clear communication about the legal implications of non-compliance are essential. To avoid breaching their duties, directors must understand their initial obligations. These essential responsibilities, known as principles, assure shareholders that their investments are managed by capable individuals. A director's role as a manager of significant assets requires adherence to reasonable and proper company operation standards. This study compares the duties of directors under Iranian law with those of other jurisdictions including the UK, Australia, and Malaysia, and provides key recommendations for reform at instances where the Iranian Company laws may be lacking or less effective

    A Study of Modal Salient Beliefs in The Behavior of Using Dialect Stickers

    This study aims to explore the behavioral intrinsic factors of post-95 youth (Generation Z) in using dialect stickers on social platforms. The qualitative research method of semi-structured interviews based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) summarizes the modal salient beliefs of the behavior of using dialect stickers and analyzes the main motivations of users' behavior of using dialect stickers. The findings suggest that post-95 youth (Generation Z) have a positive attitude toward dialect sticker use, driven mainly by the factors of pleasantness and bringing people closer together. Although the advantages of dialect stickers were generally recognized as outweighing the disadvantages, cross-dialect communication barriers remained a major factor in generating negative emotions. Older generations are less receptive to dialect stickers, while the attitudes and behaviors of fellow villagers as well as friends have a significant impact on the use of dialect stickers. The study concluded that the behavioral influences on dialect sticker use need to be further measured and assessed, and the present study provides information on the beliefs of the measurement questionnaire, which provides a valuable reference for dialect sticker design

    Pengaplikasian aplikasi digital terkini dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran merupakan satu teknik pedagogi baharu yang perlu dikuasai oleh guru Sejarah pada masa kini. Perkembangan teknologi menggalakkan guru dan murid untuk menggunakan aplikasi-aplikasi pembelajaran digital dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Kegagalan menggunakan aplikasi-aplikasi pembelajaran digital terkini menjadikan murid kurang minat dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran Sejarah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap pengetahuan, kemahiran dan sikap guru Sejarah dalam menggunakan aplikasi-aplikasi pembelajaran digital terkini. Soal selidik digunakan sebagai instrumen kajian dan diedarkan secara dalam talian. Enam puluh orang responden dipilih sebagai peserta kajian. Kajian ini yang terdiri daripada guru-guru Sejarah di Daerah Kota Tinggi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 29.0. Hasil analisis data deskriptif mendapati bahawa min bagi tahap penggunaan aplikasi–aplikasi pembelajaran digital terkini dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran Sejarah dari aspek pengetahuan, kemahiran dan sikap berada pada aras yang tinggi. Ini bermakna guru-guru Sejarah sememangnya menggunakan aplikasi–aplikasi pembelajaran digital terkini dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran secara berkesan. Kajian ini boleh dijadikan sebagai kajian lanjutan bagi pengkaji yang ingin mengkaji isu kajian ini dari segi persepsi murid. Secara keseluruhan, kajian ini diharapkan akan dapat membantu pihak yang berkaitan seperti Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri dan Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah dalam usaha memperkasakan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi seiring dengan Revolusi Industri 4.0

    Party Realignment: Ethnic Identity versus Egocentrism among Malaysian Voters

    This study investigates the dynamics of voting intention concerning party realignment among voters in Malaysia using a Theory of Reasoned Action-based model. It delves into the roles of attitudes and subjective norms in shaping party preferences and aligns with quantitative methodology. A comprehensive self-administered survey questionnaire engaged 450 participants from diverse ethnic backgrounds in the Batang Kali State Constituency to elucidate party realignment complexities. They are chosen using stratified random sampling, based on a race proportion of 5:1:1. The findings reveal that voter attitudes wielded a more significant impact than subjective norms associated with ethnic identity. This outcome underscores the pivotal role of attitudes in influencing decision-making, while the influence of subjective norms remains limited. The research highlights the subjective norm's role in a multicultural context, clarifying that it is not the primary catalyst for party realignment. Instead, personal beliefs (people's egocentric behaviour) play a substantial role in shaping voter attitudes. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the interplay between subjective norms (ethnic identity), attitudes (egocentrism), and party realignment within Malaysia's diverse social landscape. Moreover, they hold significant implications for formulating effective political strategies and government policies within a multicultural society

    Amalan Kepimpinan Transformasional Guru Besar dan Hubungannya Terhadap Kualiti Guru Berdasarkan Standard 4 SKPMg2

    Tujuan penyelidikan ini adalah untuk menganalisis perkaitan antara kaedah kepimpinan transformasi pengetua sekolah dengan kualiti guru SKPMg2 darjah empat mereka di Daerah Segamat. Seratus dua puluh guru sekolah kebangsaan dari kawasan Segamat merupakan subjek kajian deskriptif ini yang menggunakan kaedah tinjauan. Penulis menggunakan kedua-dua statistik deskriptif dan inferensi untuk meneliti data yang datang daripada tinjauan yang telah ditadbir. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengetua di daerah Segamat terlibat dalam kaedah kepimpinan transformasi yang sangat berkesan. Menurut SKPMg2 standard 4, kualiti guru juga baik. Kualiti pendidik sesebuah sekolah berkorelasi positif dengan kehadiran kepimpinan transformasi. Komponen utama yang mempengaruhi kaliber pendidik ialah salah satu ciri kepimpinan transformatif—pengaruh ideal. Hasil penyelidikan ini menunjukkan bahawa kepimpinan transformatif adalah penting untuk meningkatkan tahap pendidik dan taraf pendidikan di seluruh Daerah Segamat

    Penggunaan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (ICT) sudah tidak asing lagi dalam dunia pendidikan pada zaman sekarang. Walaubagaimanapun, penggunaan platform ini memerlukan kemahiran dan juga pengetahuan daripada pihak guru sebagai tenaga pengajar untuk mengaplikasikannya dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (P&P) di dalam kelas. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap penggunaan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (ICT) dalam kalangan guru Sejarah Prauniversiti yang merangkumi aspek tahap pengetahuan dan tahap kemahiran. Kajian ini turut bertujuan mengkaji tahap minat pelajar Prauniversiti terhadap penggunaan ICT dalam subjek Sejarah. Kajian ini akan mengambil kira pandangan daripada guru Sejarah seramai 90 orang di sekitar negeri Kelantan.     International Student Adjustment Scale (ISAS): Toward a Holistic Understanding of Adjustment Experience

    Previous research has established that how students feel and make practical adjustments in international education settings is pivotal to their educational and personal progress. This study introduces the International Student Adjustment Scale (ISAS), a novel instrument designed to capture the multifaceted adjustment experience of international students abroad. Qualitative analysis of interviews and diaries (n=26) underscored the need for a more nuanced understanding of adjustment as a dynamic process encompassing academic, sociocultural, and psychological domains. Informed by existing adjustment theories and validated measures, we crafted a comprehensive 30-item scale – the ISAS. To assess its efficacy, the ISAS was administered to a cohort of Malaysian students studying in Australia (N=371). Exploratory Factor Analysis confirmed the presence of three distinct sub-scales: academic adjustment, sociocultural adjustment, and psychological adjustment, each containing two to three further factors. Additionally, the scale demonstrated strong internal consistency (α = .72 to .87). These results are encouraging for future research endeavours that delve deeper into the concept of international student adjustment. With further validation across diverse student populations, the ISAS holds significant potential as a tool for developing optimal learning environments and experiences that support successful student adjustment within the international higher education landscape

    Halalan Tayyiban Food Consumption: An Understanding Level on Gender Among Fully Residential Schools’ Students in Selangor

    Halalan tayyiban is the main concept of food consumption for the Muslim community. The understanding level of halalan tayyiban may be diverse between males and females. This study aimed to compare the understanding level of halalan tayyiban food consumption among students of fully residential schools in Selangor by gender. Male and female students of fully residential schools in Selangor are involved as respondents (n=490). A questionnaire and IBM SPSS Statistics were utilised as instruments in data collection and data analysis, respectively. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and non-parametric inferential statistics for comparing two independent group samples, the Mann-Whitney test. Mann-Whitney test indicates that “understanding of halalan tayyiban concept on food consumption” in “male” shows no significant difference (mean rank: 245.55) compared to “female” (mean rank: 245.45) with U=29856, ρ=.978. Overall, this study indicates that the comprehension of the halalan tayyiban concept in food consumption among students at totally residential schools in Selangor is likely to be similar for both males and females. A different population for a group of samples regarding this matter is recommended for future studies

    An Encounter of the Chinese Monkey and the Japanese Robot: The Product Tenet in Cultural Transduction

    When more than one source material is used for an adaptation, how do these texts work together coherently in the new production? This article applies the product tenet in the cultural transduction framework to multi-sourced film adaptations to analyze the coexistence of the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West and the iconic Japanese anime Doraemon in the Japanese animated film Doraemon: The Record of Nobita’s Parallel Visit to the West (1988). We find that to integrate these two works that take the lead in their respective cultural contexts, Japanese adapters enhance the cultural shareability by highlighting content universals, audience-created universals, and company-generated universals, and reduce the cultural discount by filling in the content lacuna, the capital lacuna, and the production lacuna

    Hubungan Pelaksanaan Risiko dengan Kompetensi dan Dinamisme Jurulatih dalam Aktiviti Berisiko Tinggi

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dapat dilihat dari sudut pandang hubungan pelaksanaan risiko dengan kompetensi dan dinamisme jurulatih dalam melaksanakan aktiviti berisiko tinggi (ABT). Kajian ini dijalankan melalui tinjauan dan melibatkan 276 pelajar. Kajian menggunakan kajian Pirontha dan Ahmad (2021), Roslee dan Muazzin (2015) dan Rohana et al. (2015) yang telah diubah suai dan disesuaikan untuk berfungsi sebagai panduan instrumen kajian. Kajian telah dianalisis menggunakan Pakej Statistik untuk Sains Sosial (SPSS) dan dilaporkan dalam bentuk statistik deskriptif dan inferensi ringkas menggunakan kekerapan dan korelasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa H0 yang menjelaskan tidak ada hubungan diantara pelaksanaan risiko dengan kompetensi dan dinamisme jurulatih adalah ditolak. Kajian menunjukkan hubungan pelaksanaan risiko dengan kompetensi dan dinamisme jurulatih serta kompetensi jurulatih dengan dinamisme jurulatih berada pada aras korelasi yang kuat dan signifikan (r=0.633, p=0.00<0.05), (r=0. 554, p=0.00<0.05) (r=0.848, p=0.00<0.05). Kajian ini membantu mengukuhkan kesimpulan yang dibina pengkaji lepas dan menghasilkan sudut pandang positif mengenai hubungan kompetensi dan dinamisme jurulatih dengan pelaksanaan risiko
