    Generativ AI och Kreativitet: Digitala Designers Upplevelser : En kvalitativ studie om digitala designers upplevelse av hur generativ AI har förändrat kreativt arbete

    På senare år har Generativ Artificiell Intelligens (GenAI) börjat inkorporeras mer i digitala tjänster och verktyg. Dessa verktyg har skapat en aktiv debatt inom studier om kreativitet och GenAI. En av grupperna som kommer berörs mycket av denna debatt är digitala designers. Digital designers är en av grupperna som använder sig av digitala verktyg för att utveckla idéer och skapa unika och användbara lösningar och kommer därför förändras av GenAI:s ökade implementation i digitala verktyg. Denna studie syftar till att bidra med kunskap om hur digitala designers upplever hur dessa verktyg har förändrat deras kreativitet genom en kvalitativ forskningsansats baserad på en litteraturstudie och semistrukturerade intervjuer. Slutsatsen av studien beskriver hur digitala designers upplever att GenAI kan användas för att göra jobbet enklare och mer effektivt där både litteratur och intervjuer pekar mot att det går att effektivisera återkommande uppgifter och generera idéer. Den visar även etiska dilemman som har framkommit under studien, vad den har för samhällsrelevans samt hur den förhåller sig till nuvarande och framtida forskning.In recent years, Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has increasingly been incorporated into digital tools, and the impact of these tools on creativity has sparked an active debate in studies on creativity and GenAI. One of the groups that will be significantly affected by this debate is digital designers. Digital designers rely on digital tools to develop ideas and create unique and functional solutions, making them particularly influenced by the growing implementation of GenAI in digital tools. This study aims to contribute knowledge on how digital designers perceive the impact of these tools on their creativity through a qualitative research approach based on a literature review and semi-structured interviews. The conclusion of the study describes how digital designers perceive that GenAI can be used to make their work easier and more efficient, where both literature and interviews indicate that it can streamline repetitive tasks and generate ideas. It also highlights the ethical dilemmas that emerged during the study, its societal relevance, and how it relates to current and future research

    From Code to Crop : A Novel STEM-Based Approach Integrating Agriculture, Programming and Electronics

    This innovative practice paper presents an interdisciplinary, integrated approach to teaching programming, electronics, and sustainable agriculture. As technology becomes increasingly central to society, Computer Science is gaining space in school curricula. Within this movement, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) provides a robust framework, but widening access demands methodologies that connect programming and electronics to other knowledge domains. Building on inspiration from educational robotics, this work proposes a novel STEM-based pathway anchored in agriculture. Originally aimed at middle and high school students, but adaptable to other contexts, the approach immerses learners in authentic problems: identifying seed types, defining growing conditions, and understanding cultivation timelines. On the technological side, students program Arduino boards and work with sensors, culminating in the design of an automatic system. Grounded in learning-by-doing, the curriculum scaffolds progressively challenging tasks that require new competencies across programming, electronics, and sustainable agriculture. Although agriculture is still underexplored in STEM education, its characteristics align strongly with STEM principles, offering a compelling avenue to motivate and engage diverse learners. The approach was validated first in a teaching-assistant training course and subsequently with two student groups. Participants reported high satisfaction, perceived the knowledge as useful and transferable, and expressed interest in advanced study. Electronics posed the greatest difficulties, whereas programming was viewed as easier. Even without prior experience, students achieved over 70% accuracy on assessments, evidencing steady learning gains. By sharing the materials, this work invites educators to reuse, adapt, and extend the proposal, fostering the emergence of new STEM educational approaches

    Attitudes, perceptions and AI self-efficacy in K-12 education

    Access to AI-driven chatbots is triggering schools to transform. Easy access and questions of cheating are balanced against potential upsides of individual support, time savings, and the risk of falling behind. Therefore, insights into teachers’ AI self-efficacy and attitudes towards the integration of AI-driven chatbots in education necessitate research. This study approaches teachers' readiness to use AI-driven chatbots. A survey and poll questions were administered, yielding 312 and 406 responses respectively, focusing on AI self-efficacy, attitudes, and perceived usefulness in education. Preliminary findings show that while teachers are generally positive about the potential of AI in education, their AI self-efficacy varies significantly based on prior use of the technology, perceived relevance, and the support available to them. The study highlights the need for internal support and targeted professional development interventions and offers practical insights for policymakers, educators, and curriculum developers to foster teacher readiness and competence in using AI-driven chatbots in their professional tasks, in and outside of class © 2025 The Authors

    District Energy Miccrogrids in Germany : Creating a Model for Evaluating the Market

    The purpose of this project was to find a way to measure the market for microgrids in district heating in Germany, to figure out what the benefits of using microgrids in district heating are, and to see what might be stopping the expansion of these microgrids. This was done by interviewing five different companies or organizations with different roles or viewpoints, but all were in the business of district heating. The interviews were done online, and the questions were divided into five categories: Background, Benefits, Hindrances, Future, and Others. The interviews gave the results that there are a lot of benefits to using district heating, but that the benefits will decrease with the size of the system, but there are some additional benefits of being smaller as well. It also showed that there are hindrances with microgrids but that those can be overcome by different means. The hindrances and decreased benefits also laid the foundation for the discussion on how one can measure the market which resulted in five different steps: checking the number of potential customers, the energy density, whether there are any local heat sources, how the project is being financed, and in the end how will the economy of scale look like.

    Hur kan narkotikan kommuniceras? : En kritisk diskursanalys av narkotikakommunikation i offentlig sektor

    Droger har en omfattande påverkan på individers liv och samhället som helhet. Relationen mellan myndigheter och befolkningen gällande narkotika är också komplex. Denna uppsats fokuserar på just den offentliga sektorns kommunikation om det stigmatiserade ämnet narkotika för att förstå vilka roller som tilldelas olika deltagare och varför. Det utförs genom en kritisk diskursanalys med utgångspunkt i den interpersonella nivån av den systemisk-funktionella grammatiken. Det framgår i resultaten att den offentliga sektorn talar till flera olika mottagare och intar varierade tonfall i enlighet med detta. Då målgruppen är en annan verksamhet hålls språket informerande och sakligt. När texten istället riktar sig åt individer används en större mängd närhetsskapande strategier, bland annat för att öka läsarens handlingsvillighet. Det finns dessutom ett fokus på just ungas välmående i relation till narkotika i flertalet texter

    Feasibility Study of Solar Energy in Kerala, India

    This Master’s Thesis work is part of the Energy Smart Innovation in the Built Environmentprogram at Halmstad University, Sweden. It investigates the solar energy potential, currentscenarios and barriers in adoption in Kerala, India. It also investigates efficient solar paneltechnology for this region with the help of simulation setup and interview with experts. Solarphotovoltaic (PV) systems are now a key component in the adoption of renewable energy dueto an increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions globally. Using the simulation toolPolysun software, this thesis concentrates on a thorough investigation and analysis of solarpanel systems. The research aims to evaluate the performance, efficiency, and economicfeasibility of solar PV systems across various climatic and operational conditions.The background study contains an in-depth investigation of photovoltaic technology, solarenergy principles, and how these are integrated into energy systems. Real-world knowledgeregarding installation procedures, energy yields, and user experiences is collected throughinterviews. Detailed Polysun simulations add to these insights by enabling scenario-basedevaluations that take into consideration variables like load profiles, weather conditions andirradiance.The results were analyzed, and it was concluded that solar technology is very effective inKerala, India. The technological applications of panels are developed and have reached thelatest applications, such as Bifacial technology with PERC and Top Con Panels. The study wasdone with different methods. Theoretical analysis, interviews conducted with regionalinstallers and simulation using the software. The overall results from all these studies reinforcethe comparison and practical experiences of different installers. Solar energy has greatpreconditions and has a big part in Indian development, towards higher living standards andreduced use of fossil fuels.

    People´s experiences of living with burns : – A general literature study

    Bakgrund: Brännskador drabbar årligen 11 miljoner människor världen över. Brännskador delas in i fyra kategorier beroende på allvarlighetsgraden. Personer som drabbas av en brännskada genomgår ett lidande kopplat till en traumatisk upplevelse, där det dagliga livet förändras och återhämtningsprocessen kan vara lång. Därav har sjuksköterskan ett centralt ansvar i omvårdnaden för att främja hälsan och lindra lidandet. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa personers upplevelser av att leva med brännskador. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie som syftar till att samla och analysera befintlig forskning inom ämnet. Resultat: I resultatet framkom det fyra kategorier: att leva med begränsningar vid utförande av aktiviteter i dagliga livet, att leva med en förändrad kroppsuppfattning, att leva med psykiska utmaningar och att leva med begränsningar i sociala samband. Konklusion: Personer med en brännskada upplevde fysiska, psykiska och sociala utmaningar. Brännskadade personer upplevde ett förändrat liv som präglades av begränsningar samt ett stort lidande. Sjuksköterskan har ett stort omvårdnadsansvar och behöver utökad kunskap samt djupare förståelse för vad det innebär att leva med brännskador. Genom vidare forskning och en djupare förståelse för ämnet kan en mer holistisk och personcentrerad omvårdnad utvecklas, vilket gör att personer med brännskador får ett ytterligare stöd för att återgå till sin vardag.Background: Burns affect 11 million people worldwide each year. Burns are classified into four categories based on the severity. People who suffer from burns go through suffering related to a traumatic experience, where daily life is changed, and the recovery process can be long. Therefore, the nurse has a central responsibility in nursing to promote health and alleviate suffering. Aim: The aim was to highlight people´s experiences of living with burns. Method: A general literature study that aims to collect and analyse existing research on the subject. Results: The results revealed four categories: living with limitations in performing activities of daily living, living with a changed body image, living with psychological challenges, and living with limitations in social relationships. Conclusion: People with a burn injury experienced physical, psychological, and social challenges. People with burns experienced a changed life that was characterized by limitations and severe suffering. The nurse has a great responsibility and they need increased knowledge and a deeper understanding of what it means to live with burns. Through further research and a deeper understanding of the subject, a more holistic and a person-centered nursing can be developed, which means that people with burns receive additional support to return to their everyday lives.

    What role does social media play in the development of muscle dysmorphia? : A quantitative study examining the role of social media in the relationships between social physique anxiety, internalization of muscle ideals, and muscle dysmorphia

    The purpose of the present study was to investigate a) whether social media use mediates the relationship between social physique anxiety and muscle dysmorphia and b) whether social media mediates the relationship between internalization of muscle ideals and muscle dysmorphia. Muscle dysmorphia is a complex mental disorder that can be developed by cultural, social and psychological factors and is most commonly found in men who strength train. The study was based on the need to increase knowledge about factors and mechanisms behind the development of muscle dysmorphia. The study design was quantitative cross-sectional, and data collection was done via a digital self-assessment questionnaire. A total of 95 men aged between 18 and 54 years (M = 27.38) (SD = 6.42) participated in the study. All participants used social media and engaged primarily in strength training. The results of the present study highlight that specific uses of social media that expose users to appearance- and strength training-focused content may play a role in whether social media functions as a mechanism in the relationships between social physique anxiety and muscle dysmorphia, as well as the internalization of muscular ideals and muscle dysmorphia. The findings support previous research showing that social media focused on appearance and body ideals can influence how individuals perceive their own bodies and contribute to the associations between social physique anxiety, internalization of muscular ideals, and muscle dysmorphia.       Föreliggande studies syfte var att undersöka a) om användning av sociala medier medierar sambandet mellan social kroppsångest och muskeldysmorfi och b) om användning av sociala medier medierar sambandet mellan internalisering av muskelideal och muskeldysmorfi. Muskeldysmorfi är en komplex psykisk störning som kan utvecklas av kulturella, sociala och psykologiska faktorer och är vanligast förekommande hos styrketränande män. Studien grundade sig i behovet av ökad kunskap kring faktorer och mekanismer bakom utvecklingen av muskeldysmorfi. Studiedesignen var en kvantitativ tvärsnittsdesign där datainsamlingen gjordes via digitala självskattningsformulär. Totalt deltog 95 män mellan 18 och 54 år (M=27,38) (SD=6,42) som använde sociala medier samt hade styrketräning som huvudsaklig träningsform. Föreliggande studies resultat belyser att de specifika användningsfokus av social media som exponerar användaren för utseende- och styrketräningsfokus kan spela en roll i huruvida sociala medier utgör en mekanism i sambanden mellan social kroppsångest och muskeldysmorfi och internalisering av muskelideal och muskeldysmorfi. Resultaten stödjer tidigare forskning som visar att sociala medier med fokus på utseende- och kroppsideal, kan spela en roll i hur individer ser på sin egen kropp och i sambanden mellan social kroppsångest och internalisering av muskelideal och muskeldysmorfi.    

    Fine Time Measurement-Based Safety System for Parent-Child Cycling

    Traffic safety is a growing topic that critically impacts urban mobility and public health, demanding innovative and practical solutions to ensure road safety. As vulnerable road users, cyclists face significant road hazards due to exposure and limited physical protection compared to motorized vehicles. This report addresses the safety challenges parents face cycling with their children using electrically assisted bicycles. By utilizing the Fine Time Measurement (FTM) protocol for distance estimation between two microcontrollers, the system enables live monitoring in traffic. The system also incorporates a Kalman filter and tolerance for system bias during measuring. Testing indicated superior accuracy over traditional localization methods in static conditions, though challenges persist in dynamic conditions. Denna uppsats fokuserar på att förbättra säkerheten för cyklister genom att utveckla ettrealtidsbaserat lokaliseringssystem som utnyttjar Fine Time Measurement (FTM)-protokollet föratt mäta avstånd mellan två ESP32-mikrokontrollers. Projektet syftar till att möjliggöra merexakt och pålitlig övervakning av barn under cykling, särskilt i potentiellt riskfyllda miljöer därföräldrar behöver snabb information om barnets position. Systemet integrerar Kalman-filter föratt minska mätbrus och förbättra precisionen i dynamiska utomhusmiljöer, med ett särskilt fokuspå att uppnå en noggrannhet på under en meter. Testresultaten visar överlägsen noggrannhetjämfört med traditionella lokaliseringsmetoder i statiska miljöer, även om dynamiska scenarierfortsatt utgör en utmaning

    Plötsligt dödsfall - Familjemedlemmars erfarenheter av stöd i sjukhusmiljö : En allmän litteraturstudie

    Bakgrund: I världen dör ca 68 miljoner människor varje år. Plötsliga dödsfall är de dödsfall som kommer oväntat och utan förvarning för familjen. Förlusten av en närstående är ofta smärtsam och livsförändrande där stöd och kommunikation är viktiga att familjen ska kunna bearbeta förlusten. Syfte: Syftet med denna allmänna litteraturstudie var att belysa familjemedlemmars erfarenheter av stöd i sjukhusmiljö vid plötsligt dödsfall. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie med induktiv ansats som inkluderar åtta vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: Analysen resulterade i två övergripande kategorier: Stödets betydelse för den fortsatta sorgeprocessen och Stöd i form av information. Konklusion: Information, bemötande och kommunikation upplevdes viktigt vid och efter dödstillfället. Sorgeprocessen ansågs vara enklare då det fanns svar på familjens frågor kring dödsfallet och familjemedlemmarna ansåg då att de kunde “gå vidare”. Vårdpersonal behöver utbildning i mötet med familjen vid plötslig död redan i grundutbildningen för omvårdnad och fortsatt ute på arbetsplatsen med hjälp av till exempel simuleringar av plötsliga dödsfall. Background: In the world, about 68 million people die every year. Sudden deaths are those deaths that happen unexpectedly and without warning to the family. The loss of a loved one is often painful and life-changing, and support and communication are important for the family to process the loss. Aim: The purpose of this general literature review was to highlight families' experiences of support in a hospital environment in the event of sudden death. Method: A general literature review with an inductive approach that includes eight scientific articles. Results: The analysis resulted in two overall categories: The importance of support for the continued grieving process and Support in the form of information. Conclusion: Information, treatment and communication were perceived as important at and after the time of death. The grieving process was perceived as easier when there were answers to families' questions about the death and they then felt that they could "move on". Healthcare professionals need more knowledge and training to deal with families in the event of sudden death possibly through simulations
