Current Situation of Staff Providing Social Work Services to Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Vietnam
Autism spectrum disorder is a common syndrome in many countries around the world. According to the General Statistics Office (2018), Vietnam has about one million autistic people (out of a total of 6.2 million people with disabilities aged two years and over). The estimated prevalence of children with autism spectrum disorder is 1% of all newborns. To meet the need for assisting families and children with an autistic spectrum disorder, social work services have been established. However, these services are in the process of being built and are affected by many different factors. The following article presents research results on the status of social work service providers for families and children with an autism spectrum disorder in Vietnam. Service providers are important players in the service supply chain for any group of customers. They will contribute decisively to the quality and efficiency of service. The staff relies on their capabilities to create quality services suitable for each customer group. The study's results provide important suggestions for improving the quality of human resources in implementing social work service models for families and children with autism spectrum disorder
Social Work Students' Awareness And Knowledge of Domestic Violence
Malaysians are frequently exposed to information about the problem of domestic violence, which affects children, women, the elderly, and maids. In order to address this issue, it is critical to increase the knowledge, awareness, and involvement of community members of all ages. To that end, a study was conducted to determine students' level of awareness and knowledge about important aspects of domestic violence, such as the provision of policies, rights, and available assistance channelled through various organisations to victims of violence. This quantitative study collected data by distributing a set of questionnaires. The study surveyed 132 Social Work students in their first through fourth years at one of Malaysia's public universities. The students were chosen because they are most likely to work in social service organisations after graduation. Descriptive statistics was used to determine social work students’ level of awareness and knowledge about domestic violence. The findings indicated that respondents had a moderate level of awareness regarding domestic violence. Meanwhile, their awareness of the Domestic Violence Act's provisions, rights, and available assistance services for victims of domestic violence was limited. The findings of this study demonstrate a lack of awareness and understanding among Social Work students regarding domestic violence. There were a few respondents who retained gender-stereotypical beliefs toward domestic violence victims and perpetrators. Thus, it is proposed that extended awareness and practical training programmes concerning domestic violence be provided through a comprehensive educational syllabus to assist students in increasing their level of awareness and understanding about domestic violence. This is hoped to increase students' readiness and ability to deal with domestic violence cases in their professional endeavours
The Aging and Retirement: A Comparative Study on the Pension Policy in South Korea and Indonesia
The aging group in society faces challenging situations in most countries. This paper discusses comparing the aging challenge and pension policy to overcome the problems. As one of the most aging population countries globally, South Korea has become a good representative to learn about the aging context. Meanwhile, Indonesia as a populous country with a gradually growing aging population from year to year. The article analyses that even though South Korea and Indonesia have a similar threat for aging population growth, these two countries face different situations. South Korea faces a low fertility threat, and Indonesia faces poverty in the aging population. Therefore, pension policy as social security and protection are discussed through the state and corporate pillars in implementing the pension scheme. However, the pension policy implementation in South Korea should be supported by strengthening social networks to enhance the elderly group. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, there is a need to increase people's awareness in participating in the pension plan to enhance life quality in the old ages
Gender Differences in Attitudes Towards Violence in Dating
Attitude needs to be considered concerning violence against partners, because these variables, apart from playing a role in acts of violence, also play a role in determining victim responses, and community responses (Flood & Pease, 2009). One type of violence that occurs in couples but is still rarely discussed is violence during dating. The attitude of a person, both men and women in assessing violence in dating, tends to affect their love relationship, both currently being undertaken and those that will occur in the future (Medeiros & Strauss, 2006). The present study examined the differences in attitudes towards the phenomenon of violence based on gender. Subjects in this study was 110 college students, with spesification of 42 males and 68 females with an age range of 18-27 years, collected by convenience sampling. The results of hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney Test with sig 0.484 > 0.05 indicate no significant difference between male and female attitudes towards dating violence. The average score results of male and female is 2, which mean they generally do not agree with violence in dating. However, several male and female students in the medium dan high category indicate some of them tend to agree with violent behavior in dating. Furthermore, more study is needed to explore the reason behind this agreement, so stakeholders can implement a program to cultivate an attitude of empathy towards others, mutual respect, and obey the psychological code of ethics and in real life

Government Social Workers Fight Virus and Public Criticism: The Implementation of Social Amelioration Program During Covid-19 Pandemic in the Philippines
This paper talks about the issues surrounding the implementation of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) by the Philippine government and how the social workers are caught between looking after themselves in this pandemic, being vigilant against criticisms, and making credible decisions on the eligibility of people who are going to avail SAP. In critically analyzing the issues and power relations, the paper presents two ideas: (a) analyzing the perspectives of the government and citizens on deciding who are eligible beneficiaries of the program using the deservingness theory which best describes the perspectives in play in the decision making and how these perspectives create tension in the implementation of the program; and (b) analyzing the power perspectives of the social worker, using Michel Foucault’s ideas of power, which help social worker maintain professionalism, remain optimistic about their profession, make sound judgments amidst all the noises of the bureaucracy, public doubts, criticism and possibly burn out
Coping with Occupational Stress, Burnout and the Moderating Effect of Social Support on Teachers’ Stress
The present study aimed to assess occupational stress, burnout, coping strategies adopted by female teachers to address occupational stress, and the moderating effect of social support. The study adopted quantitative cross-sectional design. The sample was collected from 1,386 teachers at 86 private schools. The data was analysed using SPSS 22.0. The stepwise multiple regression, linear regression, Pearson correlation, and two-way ANOVA were used, and a p-value of 0.05 was significant. The study evaluated the moderating variable social support effect and found a significant correlation between social support, burnout, and coping strategies (p = 0.01). The results of the study revealed that teachers were found to use dysfunctional and emotional coping strategies most often; however, the coping strategies were significantly correlated with burnout (p = 0.003). Based on the results, the higher level of occupational stress and a moderate level of burnout were validated. Teachers are physically tired, and they have more to do at work than they can do in the time they have or with the skills they have. The study concluded that there is a dire need to promote a healthy working environment for better teacher performance
Self-Esteem and Stockholm Syndrome in Dating Violence Victims
Violence in dating relationships causes a lot of harm to the victims. It is difficult for female students as victims to realize that they have been harmed, even though they have received a lot of inappropriate treatment. This phenomenon is like an embarrassing incident, closed tightly and accepted by oneself to get the comfort of running a social life on campus. A total of 109 students who were victims of dating violence and were willing to open up were involved to reveal the role of self-esteem and the condition of Stockholm syndrome. The instrument used is a measurement scale that is relevant to the scope of violence in dating. The results of statistical calculations found a downward patterned relationship between self-esteem and Stockholm syndrome. Other results found that low self-esteem played a role in increasing the behavior of Stockholm syndrome. What are the dynamics of Stockholm syndrome such that the victim did a study that needs to be followed up in the next study? The study of the phenomenon of dating violence needs to be seen from the side of the perpetrator (male). Future research is recommended to conduct an analysis involving male respondents.

The Role of The Village Head in The Development of The Joint Business Group for Poor Peoples Toward Poverty Alleviation
Poverty in Widodomartani is still classified as high poverty for about 9 % of its villagers. Central, local, and the village-level government tried to solve this issue. In 2013, Widodomartani Village received some programs to control the poverty from Indonesia Ministry of Social Affair launching the Kelompok Usaha Bersama Fakir Miskin (KUBE FM) program. The implementation of the KUBE FM Program needs assistance from all parties, thus it can be going well. Widodomatani Village-head (Lurah) is one of the policymakers who can assist the KUBE FM Program. The village head has some authority to run the program, one of which is society’s empowerment. Hence, the village head’s assistance in KUBE FM Program could help reduce and/or remove poverty in Widodomartani.
Pilot Study: Feasibility and Preliminary Outcome of the Psychotherapy Intervention with Parents of Leukaemia Children in Malaysia
Reporting the preliminary findings and the feasibility of a pilot group psychotherapy intervention study of one hour session for four sessions, also known as 'PERKASA Intervention' towards parents of children with leukaemia, conducted at one of the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Malaysia. In this Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design, a total of 19 parents agreed to participate and 11 participants were placed in the Treatment Group (TG), meanwhile eight parents were placed in the Control Group (CG). This study looked at the effects comparison between pre- and post-interventions, as well as reviewed the feasibility of the implementation of PERKASA Interventions. Feasibility refers to the evaluation of TG participants' feedback. PERKASA Intervention showed to positively impact stress, depression, anxiety, and coping strategies among TG at the pre and post stages. PERKASA Intervention has also been shown that it can be consistently used for targeted groups. The main challenge seen was the recruitment of participants during Covid-19 pandemic occurring all over the world. The data from this pilot study can be used as a reference for larger-scale studies in the future. This intervention was fully conducted by professionals from Medical Social Worker as therapists and the first to be implemented in Malaysia
