Developing interactive and contextual learning media is crucial in enhancing 21st-century skills, particularly creative thinking. However, the facts show that many students still have difficulty developing these skills, especially in science learning, which is often considered abstract and complex. This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of the Etno-STEM E-Module, which integrates science concepts with local culture through Situbondo batik to enhance students’ creative thinking skills. This research employs the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Effectiveness was measured using pre-test and post-test results analyzed with the N-Gain Score. The trial was conducted on seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Panji, Situbondo. The results indicate that the e-module has a very high level of validity, with an average score of 92%, is considered practical with a score of 95,2%, and is effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills, achieving an N-Gain score of 0.63 in the medium category. The implications of this research suggest that integrating local culture into STEM-based learning can be an innovative solution to enhance students’ creative thinking skills. Therefore, this e-module has the potential to be applied in science education across various educational contexts

The Influence of Discipline, Motivation, and Teacher Performance Satisfaction on Teacher Performance at Junior High School

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline, work motivation, and job satisfaction on teacher performance at SMP IT Al Maksum Sunggal. This study\u27s background is based on some teachers\u27 weak performance, such as inconsistency in preparing learning tools, low variation in teaching methods, and varying levels of discipline and job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least square-structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis method through the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The respondents were 30 teachers, which was determined through total sampling techniques. The study showed that the three independent variables simultaneously influenced teacher performance with an R² value of 0.441. Partially, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (path coefficient = 0.505), but several indicators, such as DG2 and DG5, have low loading values and need to be evaluated. Conversely, work motivation negatively affects teacher performance (coefficient = -0.159), which indicates the possibility of conceptual problems in measuring indicators. Job satisfaction is the most consistent and significant variable influencing teacher performance (coefficient = 0.350), with strong reliability and convergent validity support. Thus, strengthening teacher discipline and job satisfaction must be the focus of human resource development in schools. In contrast, the motivation aspect needs to be reviewed conceptually and technically to maximize its contribution to improving teacher performance

The Role of Principal Learning Supervision on Teacher Performance

Academic supervision is one of the important strategies in supporting the improvement of professional, reflective, and competitive teacher performance. However, supervision is often perceived as administrative control rather than professional development, resulting in resistance and lack of impact on learning quality. This study aims to systematically examine the effect of principal supervision on teacher performance and the factors that support and hinder its effectiveness. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the authors analyzed 36 scientific documents selected through a PRISMA-based selection process from 400 initial sources. The literature was thematically analyzed to identify patterns of relationships between supervision strategies, principals\u27 roles, and teacher performance outcomes. The results show that reflective, dialogic, and participatory supervision improves teachers\u27 pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. The findings also indicate that principals\u27 main supporting factors are competence, collaborative culture, and policy support. In contrast, administrative burden, teacher resistance, and lack of training were significant barriers. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the principal\u27s role as a professional coach and the need for a more contextualized and humanistic supervision policy reform. Academic supervision designed with an empowerment approach can be the foundation for building a sustainable and quality-oriented school culture

The purpose of this research is to describe the design, feasibility test results, and effectiveness test results of developing audiovisual media for the history of the Old City of Semarang based on Canva on the ability to understand narrative text information for grade V students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang.  This research method is Research and Development (R&D) guided by Sugiyono\u27s research with a modified Borg and Gall design up to step 8. The research subjects are fifth grade students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The validation results from media experts and material experts were 95% and 83% respectively with a very feasible category.  The effectiveness test on small-scale and large-scale trials at SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang with an increase in the average pretest and postest, respectively 45 and 90. The results of the Wilcoxon t-test calculation were <0.05, namely 0.000 so that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The n-gain increase is 0.8136 which is above 0.7 in the high category. So it can be concluded that the audiovisual media of the history of the Old City of Semarang based on canva on the ability to understand the information of narrative text of fifth grade students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang is effective. Full text link
This study addresses the problem of low teacher job satisfaction in public elementary schools in Boja District, Kendal Regency, which is believed to be influenced by ineffective leadership, unsupportive work environments, and fragmented school cultures. The objective of this research is to analyse the influence of effective school principal leadership, work environment, and work culture on teacher job satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, the study involved 199 teachers selected through a proportionate stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analysed through multiple linear regression. The findings revealed that both principal leadership (β = 0.128, p = 0.008) and work environment (β = 0.122, p = 0.009) significantly affect teacher job satisfaction. In contrast, work culture (β = 0.003, p = 0.094) does not show a statistically significant influence. The adjusted R² value of 0.594 indicates that the three variables explain 59.4% of the variation in job satisfaction. The study highlights the need to enhance leadership quality and work environments to improve teacher satisfaction and effectiveness. Although school culture shows potential, it must be translated into tangible practices and professional recognition to have a meaningful impact

The Independent Curriculum, implemented nationally since 2022, is viewed as not fully meeting the needs of Islamic education, which prioritizes the development of students’ spiritual, moral, and practical character. In the Madrasah context, a curriculum model is required that more explicitly integrates values of compassion, empathy, and love for God, fellow human beings, and the environment. Responding to this gap, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia introduced the Love Curriculum as an alternative and corrective initiative to strengthen the value-based dimensions that are considered lacking in the Independent Curriculum. This article aims to analyze the implementation of the Love Curriculum as a substitute for the Independent Curriculum in Madrasah. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis in selected educational institutions that have begun adopting the curriculum. The results indicate that the Love Curriculum effectively revitalizes the humanistic and transformative essence of Islamic education and contributes to the development of students’ noble character, social sensitivity, and spiritual awareness. Nonetheless, its implementation faces several challenges, including teacher readiness, the integration of values into lesson plans, and the monitoring of classroom practice. Therefore, continuous professional development and supportive policies are recommended to ensure the Love Curriculum becomes embedded in the learning culture of Madrasah in a consistent and sustainable manne
