Implementing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach to Three-Dimensional Shapes Characteristics using Traditional Blitar Souvenirs in Elementary Schools
The importance of the right approach to mathematics learning. Many students believe that mathematics is complicated to learn because many mathematics teachers teach abstractly. This research is qualitative descriptive research that uses Graveimeiijeir\u27s design research method. This research aims to prove that the hypothesis that has been written in the hypothetical learning trajectory or HLT (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) is correct and how it impacts students\u27 understanding of the material on the characteristics of three-dimensional shapes using traditional Blitar souvenir media and LKPD, which function as a guide to student activities. This research was conducted at SDN Lidah Kulon IV in class 5B. The research subjects were five students, three men and two women. The research stages carried out were planning, implementation in the classroom, and data analysis. This research shows that learning activities using the RME approach are based on the stages of the iceberg theory. This stage consists of real-world situations, models that describe problem situations (models of), models for solving problems (models for), and formal mathematical stages. Using traditional Blitar souvenir media, this stage can help students understand material about the characteristics of three-dimensional shapes

This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design type called a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The study sample consisted of 19 students. Data were collected using tests and analyzed using parametric statistical tests paired t-tests with normality tests as prerequisite tests. The average pre-test score was 57.63, while the average post-test score was 76.68. Through the paired t-test, the results were obtained in the form of an asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 (less than 0.05), so it can be concluded that applying the experimental method with the STEAM approach affects the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN Panjunan Sidoarjo. Thus, evidence was obtained that using experimental methods with the STEAM approach in science learning activities significantly contributed to optimizing science education outcomes for elementary students because it actively involved students in gaining meaningful experiences
Language Self-Assessment: The Comparison of Learning Difficulty and Readiness of Non-Language Department Students
Self-assessment in language learning is important to understanding students\u27 needs and challenges in mastering Arabic and English skills, especially for those outside the language department. Therefore, this study aims to explore the differences in the level of language learning difficulty and the readiness of students from non-language majors to learn Arabic and English. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method, involving 109 students from three Islamic universities in the Cirebon area as respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of two main components: the language learning difficulty scale and the learning readiness scale. Data analysis was carried out to compare the difficulty level felt with the student\u27s readiness to learn English. The results showed that both variables had the same response in terms of difficulty and readiness to learn. The classification of difficulty in Arabic and English is the same, namely at a moderate level with a percentage of 64% and 51%, and the dominant indicator that is considered difficult for students to master is the fluency indicator. In addition, the comparison of learning readiness in Arabic and English did not differ significantly. The motivation indicators of both languages have the same percentage of 35%. Thus, the motivation of non-language students to learn Arabic and English is higher than the other two indicators
