    Correlation Self-Efficacy and Adversity Quotient of Students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi Klaten

    This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between self-efficacy and adversity quotient for students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi Klaten. This type of research uses quantitative research methods with a correlational approach. Sampling methods using simple random sampling with data collection techniques in the form of a scale. The research subjects were 70 students from class XI of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten. The results obtained correlation analysis (rxy) of 0.708 with a p-value 0.000 that is lower than 0.05, meaning that there is a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and the student\u27s adversity quotient. This can indicate that the higher the student\u27s self-efficacy, higher the adversity quotient of the student, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Self efficacy and adversity quotient in students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten are classified as moderate. The coefficient of determination (R2) of the correlation is 0.724, meaning that self-efficacy contributes effectively to the adversity quotient by 72%, which means there are 28% of the other factors that affect students adversity quotien

    Appreciative Inquiry Approach in Limited Face-To-Face Learning at SMAN 1 Pusakanagara

    This research is intended as a response to limited face-to-face learning which is a new model in the learning system, this is intended as a reaction in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. As a learning model that has just been implemented, of course, there will be many obstacles faced theoretically and technically. Therefore, a proactive effort is needed to answer the challenges in limited face-to-face learning. The teacher\u27s adaptive attitude in terms of pedagogy and professionalism is needed as a solution. One of the steps that can be taken is to use an appreciative inquiry approach to find a learning model that remains limited to face-to-face learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an appreciative inquiry approach that will reveal a limited face-to-face learning model that is following the characteristics of students at SMAN 1 Pusakanagara. This study involved 369 respondents from a total population of 1,080 respondents by taking samples of three groups (study groups) at each level. The data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed via a google form, then reduced and analyzed. The period of this research is September to December 2021. The stages of appreciative inquiry are defined, discovery, dream, design, and destiny or delivery. Based on the analysis using an appreciative inquiry approach, it is concluded that several face-to-face learning models are limited at SMAN 1 Pusakanagara, including direct practice learning models, project-based learning models, problem-based learning models, and inquiry learning models

    Authentic Assessment on Fiqh Subjects at Class XI IIk 2 MA Al Ma\u27had An-Nur Bantul

    This research aimed to find out how the implementation of authentic assessment in online learning for fiqh subjects in class XI IIK 2 MA Al Ma\u27had An-Nur Bantul. This research was qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis method used the theory of Miles and Huberman. Not only that, the checking technique of the data validity used several criteria. The research results revealed that (1) includes competency assessment during the online learning process, the teacher saw student activity when participating in learning through Google Meet. (2) Knowledge Competence using written assessment instrument techniques and assignments or projects. (3) The psychomotor competence of students to practice creative and innovative skills. The assessment results could be seen from two things, namely, students were able to understand the material provided, and students were trained in honest behavior. The supporting factors were teachers, school facilities, and quota assistance. While the inhibiting factors were that the assessment was not very effective during the pandemic, learning was not conducive, and the lack of communication between teachers and students so that the administrators were overwhelmed in dealing with existing problem

    The study reviews the development of learning video media based on constructivist learning theory on the theme of 8 areas where I live in the fourth grade of elementary school. The aims of this research are: (1) Knowing the feasibility of learning videos based on constructivist learning theory on the theme of the 8 areas where I live in grade IV elementary school that was developed, (2) knowing the practicality of learning videos based on constructivist learning theories on the theme 8 areas where I live in class IV school. developed base. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE model design consisting of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. The trial was conducted at SDN Kledungkradenan class IV. This development research resulted: (1) the feasibility of learning videos based on constructivist learning theory got an average score of 3.59 with a very decent category, and (2) the practicality of learning videos based on constructivist learning theory got an average score of 3.75 with the category very practical. Product development in this research can be said to be feasible if it can meet two aspects, namely validity and practicality. a. Validity, whether the developed product is valid or not is obtained from the assessment of experts. The minimum level of product validity is in the range > 2.5 b. Practicality, whether or not the product developed is produced from student response questionnaires. The minimum level of practical value is in the range > 2.

    The critical thinking ability of prospective biology teacher students still needs to be improved to support the implementation of 21st century learning in schools. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM-based Inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills in the Low-Level Plant Structure course. This research is a type of pseudo-experimental research, using control group Pretest-Posttest Design, involving 50 students who are divided into two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. The data collection tools used in this study were student response questionnaires, critical thinking skills tests. Data analysis, researchers conducted testing using SPSS software. The results of data analysis obtained from the t-test of paired samples were obtained Sig. 0.00 < 0.005, which can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in effectiveness between critical thinking skills in experimental classes using STEM-based Inquiry and control classes using Inquiry in the Low-Level Plant Structure course.     Tiered Reading Program: A Case Study in Grade Two of A Private Elementary School in Central Java

    Developing students’ reading skills is highly required to be taught to the students from their young age since it affects the students’ achievement in learning . One of the private elementary schools in Central Java has been implementing a reading program called “tiered reading” for almost a year. The purpose of this study was to explore the implementation of the tiered reading program in grade two in one of the private elementary schools in Central Java. Four teachers who taught in four different paralel classes were the participants of this research. This case study utilized teachers interviews, classroom observations during the implementation of tiered reading program and documents collections such as worksheets and story books the teachers used. The data were analyzed by coding, categorizing and developing themes. The data analysis revealed three important themes; contradictory meaning between the teachers’ concept understanding and the teachers’ teaching strategies in the classroom. Reading for fluency and for remembering are the other emerging themes.     People these days tend to avoid their attention from child’s psychosocial development while it holds serious role for the psyhcological and social development of children to find their true identity in the future. According to Erik Erikson, there are 8 stages of phsychosocial development of human starts when a human being is born to the final stage which is at 65 years old above. In this theory, Erikson emphasizes that every stage holds its importance and that they relate each other. Which means the first stage affects the next stage and so forth. This research is aimed to analyze Erikson’s 8 stages development of psychosocial on school-age children and how parents and teachers should respond and provide suitable treatment for these children.The methodology in this research is literature research where author collects the information about 8 stages psychosocial development from journal, books, reviews, or previous research. From this research, author finds that parents must give proper and suitable parenting style for their child especially during their school periods where child needs support, motivation and stimulus either from parents or teachers or their surroundings through intensive communication. For addition, through this research too, author finds that the ability for teachers to understand these 8 stages will give them the sight to provide more chances for the children to grow well and find their true identity.     The Effect of “Role Play” on Students’ Speaking Ability

    The objective of this research is to determine whether role-play significantly affects students\u27 speaking ability at the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun.The population of this research is the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun, which is consisted of 205 students, and the sample was taken by cluster sampling that consists of 35 students. This research is carried out using the experimental method. Furthermore, the instrument used for collecting the data is by giving the test. After collecting the data, it was analyzed by using t.test.After analyzing the data, there is a significant effect of teaching speaking using role play teaching technique at the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun and categorized very well. It was found that the mean or the average of the student\u27s score after the treatment was 83.11. Using statistical analysis, the researchers get to 42.05, where the value of t.table  is 1.69. It means that the value of t observed is greater than that of the t table (to = 42.05 > t table = 1.69). It means that there is a significant effect of teaching by using role-play on students\u27 speaking ability. The alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted. The value of the coefficient of determination is 0.86, which means role play affects the students\u27 speaking ability by as much as 86 %

    The Effect of Inquiry Teaching Method on Students’ Vocabulary Achievement

    The objective of this research is to determine whether there is a significant effect of using the Inquiry teaching method on students\u27 vocabulary achievement among the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Barumun. The population of this research is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Barumun, which consists of 54 students, and the sample was taken by cluster sampling composed of 27 students. This research is carried out by using experimental methods. The test is used as the instrument of this research, after collecting the data, it was analyzed using the t.test formula. The data analysis found that the mean or average of students\u27 scores after the treatment is 80.55. Using the statistical analysis, the researchers get to 28.80, where the value of t.table  is 2.05. It means that the value of t observed is greater than that of the t table (to = 28.80> t table = 2.05). The calculation of the coefficient of determination is 0.84, which means the inquiry teaching method affected students\u27 vocabulary achievement by as much as 84%. It means that the Inquiry teaching method significantly affects teaching vocabulary. The alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted, and the Inquiry teaching method can be applied in the classroom to increase the student\u27s vocabulary achievement
