The methodology employed is a case study of Pesantren Assa'adah in Cikeusal Serang, utilizing a literature review to provide a foundational basis for the analysis. The findings indicate that waste management concepts have been effectively carried out by processing both organic and inorganic waste. Additionally, automatic watering systems with soil moisture sensors have been deployed near fish ponds, ensuring plants receive the essential water elements efficiently. This system is powered by solar energy, making it an environmentally friendly option. Furthermore, the student (santri) consume livestock and agricultural products, demonstrating that the pesantren has a sustainable resource source, reducing daily accommodation expenses. Smart farming can also serve as a basis for educational tourism. FTv “Azab” is one of the programs broadcast by Indosiar television station. The broadcast brought pro and contra arguments which were represented through the Panasonic Gobel Award as well as a warning from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). Explicitly, this television film shows scenes of violence. This raises the problem of whether violent reasoning is something that is dominant in humans and makes a major contribution in shaping one's motivation and pious behavior. Research informants are students of IAINU Kebumen. Data collection techniques were carried out through Focus Group Discussions, in-depth interviews, and observations. By applying the encoding-decoding theory of Stuart Hall and Michel Foucault's discourse perspective, this study concludes that violent reasoning does not always exist in religious practice and forms a pious attitude. Non-violent reasoning can even deny the presence of violent discourses. To obtain non-violent reasoning, one must obtain the support of knowledge and experience that becomes a framework for thinking and acting

Paradigma Dakwah Kultural: Infiltrasi Nilai Ketahuidan melalui Kontruksi Karakter Puntadewa

    No full text
Spreading Islam in the early Walisongo period amidst the strong establishment of the Hindu monarchy - Majapahit - was certainly not an easy thing. Adaptation and persuasion efforts were needed so that Islamic values did not encounter resistance from Javanese society at that time. One of the things that Walisongo - especially Sunan Kalijaga - did was infiltrate it through arts and culture. One of the things he did was construct a wayang character, namely Puntadewa, which incidentally was very popular with the people of his time.Using qualitative research with library research specifications, the author tries to explore how the value of monotheism is infiltrated into society through the construction of Puntadewa's character. The results of this research can be concluded that Puntadewa's position as the eldest of the Pandavas was used as an initial benchmark in infiltrating the value of monotheism into Javanese society at that time. The protagonist's typical character traits, which from the start are filled with attributes of perfection, make this step quite smooth. A series of storylines attempted in such a way as to reduce the previous values attached to the Mahabharata epic - and some of which were contrary to Islam - were actually quite successful and even without physical resistance in society at that time
