No full textUSAID Oceans berharap bahwa panduan ini akan memberikan para mitranya di seluruh Asia Tenggara, dan di luar, dengan pengetahuan dan kapasitas untuk melakukan pendekatan pengelolaan perikanan lanjutan.Panduan ini berisi empat bagian inti:Bab satu emperkenalkan panduan ini dan lebih lanjut menjelaskan latar belakang embuatannya. Selanjutnya diikuti oleh tiga bab inti yang merupakan bab fungsional yang menyediakan panduan terbaru untuk melakukan Penilaian Cepat untuk Manajemen Perikanan (RAFMS) yang mengakui tiga bidang ematik pengelolaan perikanan modern. Bab dua: Pendekatan Ekosistem untuk Pengelolaan Perikanan (EAFM) memberikan panduan tentang cara menilai status program atau layanan EAFM di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan dengan meninjau pedoman asli yang disediakan pada tahun 1996, serta memberikan panduan tambahan, alat, dan metodologi yang dapat digunakan dalam proses RAFMS. Bab tiga: Dokumentasi Penangkapan dan Ketertelusuran (CDT) menyediakan panduan tentang pengumpulan informasi untuk menilai kebutuhan, tantangan, dan peluang CDT untuk menginformasikan pengembangan sistem CDT elektronik yang dapat mendukung dan memperkuat pengelolaan perikanan. Bab empat: Integrasi Gender dalam RAFMS memberikan panduan tentang bagaimana memastikan aspek sumber daya manusia di bidang perikanan yang terintegrasi dalam rencana pengelolaan perikanan dan strategi pembangunan lainnya
