Empowerment of Jambi Malay Tribe Women through Batik Staple Fabric Processing to Improve Economic Welfare
creatively processing Jambi batik patchwork into home décor products and improves economic welfare. The initiative provides women with essential skills to produce valuable home décor items such as decorative cushions, tablecloths, and wall art from batik patchwork, a material traditionally considered textile waste. The program focuses on processing batik scraps into home décor products for wall hangings. By focusing on design, production, and digital marketing skills, the program fosters economic independence and strengthens the role of women in the local economy. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training and skills to Jambi Malay tribe women to produce home decor from batik scraps and transform batik scraps into home decor products with high added value to increase product competitiveness, develop and promote local product culture, and increase economic income. The results of the service showed practical skills, increased income, self-confidence, and social status of the participants. This sustainable approach promotes environmental conservation and supports local economic resilience, proving the long-term positive impact of empowering women in the creative industry on community welfare
Utilization of the Potential of Mangrove Forest Areas to Increase the Income of Coastal Communities in Kipai Village, Patani District
Mangrove forests in Kipai Village provide significant benefits in terms of economy, ecology, and social aspects. However, the local community has limited awareness of these forests' direct and indirect benefits, particularly regarding the economic potential of mangrove-based commodities they have unknowingly utilized. This activity aims to provide training and assistance to the community, specifically to partners, on maximizing the potential of mangrove forest areas to improve the income of coastal communities in Kipai Village. Implementing this Community Service activity follows a structured approach to address partner challenges, including socialization, training, technology application, assistance, evaluation, and program sustainability. The evaluation involves interviewing several partner groups to gather feedback and impressions of the activities. The community members, particularly those who participated, have reported feeling the positive impact of the activity, as it has enhanced their knowledge and skills in utilizing the mangrove area's potential, thus enabling them to process it into products with higher economic value
Pendampingan Belajar Membaca Melalui Metode Suku Kata dalam Meningatkan Keterampian Membaca di Bimbel Baskara Sidoharjo Pulung Ponorogo
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the syllable method and to explain how to use the syllable method to improve students' reading skills in Pulung Village, especially in Krajan, Sidoharjo Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency. In this mentoring-based research, the authors used the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) approach. According to Munawar Ahmad, Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) is an approach model in community development, besides this research uses an advocacy approach (assistance) with the type of case study research based on data collected from research results. The data is used to describe the implementation of learning to read using the syllable method. It aims to see the effectiveness, advantages, and disadvantages of applying the syllable method.The results of the study can be concluded that the syllable method can improve the reading ability of children in the hamlet. Krajan, Sidoharjo Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency. This can be seen from the increase in students' reading skills
Upaya Peningkatan Ketahanan Ekonomi Keluarga Desa Wagir Kidul dalam Pelatihan Buket
Penelitian ini membahas tentang fasilitasi yang diberikan kepada ibu-ibu masyarakat di Desa Wagir Kidul dalam pelatihan pembuatan buket. Dengan alasan banyak dari kalangan wanita terutama ibu-ibu dan yang menganggur. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran fasilitasi dalam memfasilitasi ibu-ibu masyarakat dalam mengikuti pelatihan buket dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan mereka dalam seni pembuata buket. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Asset Based Community Driven (ABCD), yaitu sebuah metode yang mengedepankan pengembangan aset yang dimiliki oleh suatu kelompok di suatu daerah. Dengan peserta pelatihan ibu-ibu dan remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitasi memiliki peran penting dalam memfasilitasi partisipasi ibu-ibu masyarakat dalam pelatihan buket. Fasilitator membantu dalam menyediakan sumber daya, memberikan panduan, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. Dampak positif dari fasilitasi ini terlihat dalam peningkatan keterampilan ibu-ibu dalam merangkai bunga dan pemahaman mereka tentang seni dekorasi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya peran fasilitasi dalam meningkatkan partisipasi dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam berbagai program pelatihan. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi bahwa fasilitasi tidak hanya berdampak pada level kognitif, tetapi juga pada perkembangan personal dan kepercayaan diri
Pendampingan Menghafal Al-Qur’an Dengan Menggunakan Metode Ummi Di Tpq Al-Husnan Sidoharjo Pulung Ponorogo
This article is motivated by a lack of memorezing the Ai-quran. This assistance aims to guide children in memorizing the Al-quran at the elementary level in particular. The object or target in this assistance is TPA children consisting of kindergarten to elementary/MI. The method used is Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Assistance in memorizing the Al-qur’an, which is located in Sidhoarjo village, Pulung sub-district has become a place for learning the Koran. Lack of ability to understand the Qur'an, especially reading according to the rules and remembering it is the concern and focus of devotion. Lack of ability to read the Qur'an, as well as the learning process that takes time, also causes a lack of concentration when studying it. The verses of the Qur'an contain a wide range of words, making it difficult to read fluently. This is one of the obstacles for reading and memorizing the Qur'an. This problem stems from a lack of understanding of tajwid which is often taught practically, forcing children to memorize it. The aim of this activity is to teach children how to read and remember the Quran in such a way that their reading conforms to the guidelines. The approach used in the mentoring is face-to-face teaching of the Qur'an to children who read the Qur'an using the Ummi technique. After the mentoring, the participants' ability to read and memorize the Qur'an changed and improved, It has been seen that there are efforts to deveop and improve their abilities in mastering memorizing the Qur’an
Penggunaan Teknologi Pemerah Otomatis pada Peternakan Sapi Perah dan Dampaknya Terhadap Produktivitas Susu di Desa Bedrug
This article examines the implementation of automatic milking technology in dairy farms and its impact on milk productivity in Bedrug Village. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency and benefits of automatic milking technology in increasing milk production in dairy farms. A field survey method was used to collect data from several dairy farms that have adopted automatic milking technology in Bedrug Village. The collected data included a comparison of milk productivity before and after the implementation of the technology, as well as the farmers' responses to using this technology. The results of the study show that the use of automatic milking technology has a positive impact on milk productivity in Bedrug Village. The implementation of this technology improves the efficiency of the milking process, resulting in increased milk production. Moreover, the technology also helps reduce stress on dairy cows and improves animal welfare. Thus, this article presents evidence that the use of automatic milking technology can be an effective solution to enhance productivity and animal welfare in dairy farms, ultimately contributing to the development of the dairy industry in Bedrug Village
Evaluasi Model Komunikasi Islam dalam Upaya Stop PMO: Evaluation of Islamic Communication Models in the Effort to Stop PMO
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Islamic communication model in overcoming Pornography, Masturbation, and Orgasm (PMO) behavior among Communication Science students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The urgency of this study arises because of the high prevalence of PMO among adolescents in Indonesia and the need for an approach that is integrated with Islamic values. The methodology involves the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and qualitative analysis to integrate Islamic communication principles and assess their effects on student behavior. The results of the study indicate that the Islamic communication model is effective in reducing PMO behavior, with the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Model (IPM) ranking the highest in effectiveness, followed by the Interpersonal Communication Model (ICM), Digital Campaign Model (DCM), Collaborative Group Discussion (CGD), Problem-based Learning (PL), and Islamic Lecture-based Instructional Model (ILIM). This approach reduces PMO incidents and supports students' emotional and spiritual growth. Based on these results, this study recommends a broader integration of the Islamic communication model in Islamic universities' curricula and extracurricular activities. It aims to enhance preventive education and support students in developing better psychosocial and spiritual health. This study also proposes further integration of Islamic communication models in the curriculum and extracurricular activities to develop a more holistic and in-depth preventive education. Thus, this study provides new insights into the effectiveness of value-based communication approaches in education and broadens the understanding of the adaptation of value-based education in addressing sensitive issues in higher education environments
The Effectiveness of a Play-Based Program in Developing Some Linguistic Skills Among Kindergarten Children in Zakho Independent Administration, Kurdistan Region of Iraq
This study investigates the effectiveness of a play-based program in developing linguistic skills, specifically listening and speaking, among kindergarten children aged 5-6 years. Using a one-group experimental design, the research was conducted in Zakho, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with a sample of 35 kindergarten children (18 males, 17 females). The program consisted of 14 sessions over seven weeks, incorporating various educational games and storytelling activities designed to enhance auditory discrimination, visual discrimination, pronunciation accuracy, and verbal expression. Pre and post-tests measured the development of linguistic skills using standardized assessment tools. Statistical analysis using paired sample t-tests revealed significant improvements in both listening skills (t=14.36, p<0.05) and speaking skills (t=6.34, p<0.05) following the intervention, with large effect sizes of 2.42 and 1.07 respectively. Additionally, gender-based analysis demonstrated statistically significant differences favouring females in skills acquisition. The findings confirm the effectiveness of play-based learning in enhancing linguistic competencies among kindergarten children and provide valuable insights for educators and curriculum developers in early childhood education, highlighting the importance of interactive, play-based approaches in developing fundamental language skills in early childhood
Strategic Management of Islamic Teaching for Strengthening Religious Moderation in Public Universities
This study aims to explore the strategies for strengthening religious Moderation and national defences in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) course, as implemented by Islamic Religious Education lecturers at the University of Indonesia. These strategies serve as a supplement to enhance students' understanding of moderate religious perspectives and deepen their national insight. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted at the University of Indonesia. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews with PAI lecturers at UI, document analysis, and participatory observation. The data analysis process in this study consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data was reduced by selecting and categorizing relevant information obtained from interviews, document analysis, and participatory observations. The reduced data were then systematically presented in a narrative form to facilitate the interpretation process. The final stage involved drawing conclusions by identifying patterns, relationships, and meanings that emerged from the overall analyzed data. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic Religious Education at the University of Indonesia follows the regulations governing General Compulsory Courses (MKWU) as mandated by the government. The Islamic Religious Education course at UI is part of the Higher Education Personality Development Program (PPKPT) under the University Course Management, Directorate of Education, University of Indonesia. In practice, PAI at UI is not only taught through classroom lectures but also supplemented with treatments and enrichment activities such as religious studies, personality, and organizational capacity development (Religious Moderation and National Defense Student Movement). These efforts aim to enhance students' religious knowledge and understanding while simultaneously strengthening their national insight
The Implementation of ‘Aqīqah in Cultural Societies From a Hadith Perspective
This study aims to examine the implementation of ‘aqīqah in the multicultural community of Binjai City from the perspective of hadith, as well as to develop contextual hadith-based educational guides. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of ethnography. The main data in the form of the practice of implementing ‘aqīqah is reviewed from the hadith. The data sources include religious leaders, educational leaders, and the community implementing ‘aqīqah who were selected purposively in five sub-districts of Binjai City. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation of ‘aqīqah activities, semi-structured interviews to explore the understanding of hadith, and documentation in the form of event archives, photos, and lecture scripts. Data analysis is carried out through three stages, namely data reduction to sort out relevant information, presentation of data in the form of thematic narratives, and inductive conclusion drawing to see the relationship between the understanding of hadith and the socio-religious practices of the community. The results of the study show that although the community understands ‘aqīqah as part of the teachings of the Prophet PBUH, the practice is greatly influenced by local culture and economic factors. Many processions are adapted, even mixed with non-sharia traditions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of adaptive hadith-based education and the preparation of guidelines for the implementation of ‘aqīqah in accordance with the context of modern society
