This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed at improving students’ learning outcomes on the topic of function transformation through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade XII of MA Islamiyah Syafi’iyah during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects consisted of 19 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection instruments included learning achievement tests and observation sheets for both student and teacher activities. The success indicator of this study was determined if at least 75% of the students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 75, and there was an improvement in the average learning outcome in each cycle. The results showed that students’ learning outcomes improved after the implementation of the PBL model. In Cycle I, the percentage of students who achieved mastery was 52.63% with an average score of 72.11. After the improvements made in Cycle II, the mastery percentage increased to 84.21% with an average score of 79.32. These findings indicate that the Problem Based Learning model can effectively enhance students’ learning outcomes on the topic of function transformation. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in function transformation material, as it encourages student activeness, develops critical thinking skills, and facilitates conceptual understanding through contextual problem-solving activities

Evaluation plays a crucial role in Indonesian as a Foreign Language (BIPA) learning, particularly at the intermediate level, which represents a transitional stage from basic language acquisition toward pragmatic, cultural, and academic language competence. This qualitative study aims to identify and analyze evaluation issues based on teaching materials and learning materials for intermediate-level BIPA at Walailak University, Thailand. The research method used a case study approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with three BIPA teachers, document analysis (syllabus, lesson plans, evaluation sheets, and teaching materials), and focus group discussions with 15 intermediate level students. The findings reveal four main problems: (1) the gap between teaching materials and evaluation instruments; (2) the dominance of product-based summative evaluation over process-based evaluation; (3) challenges in evaluating pragmatic and cultural competencies; and (4) limitations in contextualizing evaluation materials to the Thai reality. These problems stem from the limited availability of teaching materials, the administrative burden on teachers, and the need for more specific assessment training for the Thai context. This study recommends the development of a continuous assessment model integrated with teaching materials based on the local Thai context, as well as assessment literacy training for BIPA teachers

Pengembangan Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Kompetensi di Era Merdeka Belajar

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze and formulate a concept for developing a competency-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum relevant to the Merdeka Belajar paradigm. The study employed a literature review method, examining various scientific sources, both national and international journals, and current education policy documents. The results indicate that the PAI curriculum in Indonesia is still dominated by a normative-doctrinaire approach that is oriented toward cognitive aspects and teacher-centered, thus less supportive of the realization of freedom of thought and independent learning, as embodied in the spirit of Merdeka Belajar. Based on theoretical analysis, the development of a competency-based PAI curriculum needs to be directed toward integrating spiritual, social, and personal values with 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, rooted in Islamic values. This study concludes that transforming the PAI curriculum toward a competency-based model is a strategic step towards building contextual, adaptive Islamic education that is oriented toward character development and holistic competency of students in the Merdeka Belajar era

Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, and the Paired Sample t-test. The results showed that the questions developed were valid and suitable for use, as validated by material and media experts. Statistical testing showed a significant increase in students’ scores after using Quiz Whizzer media, with an average pretest score of 52.14 and a posttest score of 87.43. The paired t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p 0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after media use. Therefore, open-ended questions using the Quiz Whizzer media have been proven effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills in learning Islamic sciences

This study aims to analyze the representation of the concept of mahabbah towards the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the poem Ṣallū ‘Alā Khayri Al-Bariyyati Khayman by Ibn al-Jinān using Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic theory. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on the relationship between signs and signifiers in the formation of spiritual meanings related to mahabbah. The text of the poem Ṣallū ‘Alā Khayri Al-Bariyyati Khayman, obtained from the source of the madh nabawi poetry manuscript, is the primary source of research. Books, scientific journals, and articles discussing mahabbah and Saussure’s semiotics are used as supporting sources. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies, namely by collecting, recording, and grouping linguistic signs in the poem text. Based on the research findings, this poem displays various expressions of mahabbah, such as adoration, longing, hope for intercession, and recognition of the glory and virtue of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The system of signs, formed through word choice and stanza structure, shows how the meaning of mahabbah emerges through a systematic relationship between signs that complement each other. This study concludes that the poem is not only an expression of art, but also a medium of da’wah that strengthens love and respect for the Prophet Muhammad SAW

This study examines the readiness of Indonesia’s legal framework in responding to the rapid growth of the digital economy, which presents new challenges for public administration, particularly in the regulation, collection, and supervision of digital taxation. The shift from conventional to digital transaction patterns has compelled the government to update its regulatory instruments, including the implementation of Value Added Tax on Trade Through Electronic Systems (PPN PMSE) and the alignment with international standards such as OECD Pillar One and Pillar Two. A normative-juridical analysis is employed to assess the coherence between existing regulations and the requirements of effective digital tax governance. The findings indicate that despite notable regulatory progress, several obstacles remain, including normative ambiguities, overlapping policies, and limited institutional capacity to monitor cross-jurisdictional digital transactions. These issues underscore the need to strengthen legal harmonization, modernize tax administration, and enhance international cooperation in order to establish a digital taxation system that is adaptive, transparent, and capable of supporting fiscal sustainability in the digital economy era

    No full text
The phenomenology of communication within Generation Z reveals how social interactions and symbolic interpretations play a crucial role in transforming their lifestyle paradigms. This generation, characterized by their ambition, creativity, and individuality, often faces societal pressures associated with hedonism and the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). However, through direct experiences and effective communication, Gen Z demonstrates a remarkable ability to navigate these challenges and adopt the frugal living concept—a lifestyle focused on financial prudence and long-term goals. This research explores how Generation Z communicates and negotiates meanings within their social contexts to overcome these pressures. By engaging in intentional decision-making and prioritizing sustainable practices, they manage to redefine their identity while countering the negative stereotypes often associated with their generation. The findings suggest that Gen Z's adoption of frugal living goes beyond mere financial savings; it represents a deeper shift towards meaningful living, balancing social expectations and personal values. As a result, this generation not only refutes the stigma of materialism and FOMO but also sets a positive example for future generations. The study underscores the power of communication as a transformative tool, enabling Gen Z to inspire broader societal change toward sustainability and mindful living
