This study compares two Arabic poems from different historical periods, namely Waṣf al-Jannah by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah and Ādam wa Firdawsuhu by Nāzik al-Malā’ikah, to examine how each poet constructs the imagery and meaning of paradise within distinct aesthetic systems. The research employs a qualitative literary approach based on Wellek and Warren’s intrinsic and extrinsic framework, complemented by Tötösy de Zepetnek’s systemic approach. The data consist of poetic texts that represent images, symbols, and thematic expressions of paradise in both poems. The primary data are drawn from recognized editions of Waṣf al-Jannah, contained in Hādī al-Arwāḥ ilā Bilād al-Afrāḥ, and Ādam wa Firdawsuhu, included in Nāzik al-Malā’ikah al-Mujalladu al-Awwal. The secondary data are obtained from relevant scholarly studies in Arabic literary criticism. Data were collected through close reading and textual documentation focusing on diction, imagery, symbolism, and emotional tone related to the representation of paradise. Data analysis was conducted by examining intrinsic elements such as theme, imagery, diction, and symbolism, as well as extrinsic aspects including socio-historical context and literary conventions, which were then interpreted using a systemic perspective. The findings suggest that Ibn Qayyim portrays paradise through vivid sensory imagery inspired by Qur’anic descriptions, employing metaphors of light, gardens, flowing rivers, and eternal rewards to evoke spiritual longing and reinforce religious motivation. In contrast, Nāzik portrays paradise as an inner and psychological realm marked by loss and existential tension, using symbolic language to reflect modern concerns such as violence, alienation, and human fragility. The study concludes that representations of paradise are shaped not only by theological perspectives but also by cultural and aesthetic environments, demonstrating how poetic discourse bridges classical and modern Arabic literary traditions

Nagari Aia Dingin, Solok Regency, has excellent agrotourism assets (Arabica coffee, horticulture, buffalo curd with intellectual property rights) but faces obstacles in the form of low human resource capacity and product processing standardization. This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of youth and the Women Farmers Group (KWT) through certified BNSP barista Training of Trainers (ToT), diversification of frozen horticultural products, and strengthening hygienic cheese production. The program integrates Participatory Action Research (PAR) for inclusive collaboration and Theory of Change (ToC) as a logical framework. Evaluation uses a Pre-Experimental Pre-Post Test design on 44 participants (24 youth and 20 KWT), supplemented by observation and FGD. The program's implementation successfully enhanced human resource capacity and infrastructure. Pre-post test results showed an average increase of 48% in technical knowledge and 110% in practical skills among the barista youth group. Vital infrastructure support (barista and frozen food equipment) from PT. PLN UID West Sumatra facilitated the adoption of technology. Socio-economically, the program successfully created BNSP-certified trainers and empowered KWT in processing value-added products, contributing to the achievement of SDGs 5 and 8. The integration of PAR and ToC proved effective in facilitating technology transfer and capacity building in a participatory manner, resulting in a dual impact: potential income growth and the strengthening of local cultural identity. This model is recommended as an adaptive replication model; however, longitudinal studies are necessary to analyze the long-term impacts

This study examines the transformation of Islamic education in Andalusia from the madrasah system to university-like institutions, with particular attention to institutional structures, curricula, and academic practices. The research focuses on how Andalusian madrasahs developed formal educational features such as structured curricula, multidisciplinary knowledge integration, teacher authorization systems (ijāzah), and academic autonomy, which later influenced the formation of medieval European universities. This study employs a qualitative historical research method based on literature analysis. Primary sources include classical Andalusian texts and works of prominent scholars such as Ibn Rushd, Ibn Bājjah, and Ibn Ṭufayl, while secondary sources consist of contemporary historical and educational studies. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: (1) historical-descriptive analysis to reconstruct the development of educational institutions and curricula in Andalusia; (2) interpretative analysis to examine the role of madrasahs in shaping academic authority, teaching methods, and knowledge transmission; and (3) comparative analysis to identify similarities between Andalusian madrasahs and early European universities. The findings indicate that Islamic education in Andalusia experienced a significant institutional transformation, characterized by the emergence of madrasahs with organized curricula encompassing religious sciences, philosophy, medicine, mathematics, and astronomy, supported by extensive libraries and an inclusive academic environment. These institutions also implemented systems of scholarly certification and academic autonomy that closely resemble the foundational structures of medieval European universities. This study highlights the substantial contribution of Islamic educational institutions in Andalusia to the historical development of higher education and underscores the need for a more inclusive global historiography of educatio

This study aims to analyze the relevance of sharia fiscal policy to the economic stability of the Muslim community through a thematic interpretation of verses and hadiths and a contextual analysis of modern fiscal policy. The study employed qualitative methods, examining literature selected based on criteria such as academic credibility, publisher reputation, publication recency, and relevance to sharia fiscal issues. The analysis was conducted through thematic coding of key issues such as zakat distribution, the role of sukuk in macroeconomic stabilization, and strengthening ZISWAF regulations. The results indicate that sharia fiscal instruments such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and sukuk have a strong normative basis and play a significant role in supporting distributive justice and economic stability. The integration of sharia principles into modern fiscal policy can be an alternative economic mechanism that is fairer and oriented towards the public good. This study is limited by the lack of empirical data; therefore, further research is recommended using a quantitative approach and comparative studies to measure the effectiveness of sharia fiscal policy in a broader context
