This research is motivated by the challenges of adapting introverted Generation Z in entering the world of work which demands intense social interaction, team collaboration, and professional adjustment. The purpose of this study is to understand the interpersonal communication dynamics of introverted Generation Z in the transition to the world of work in the city of Medan. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with sixteen informants, including introverted individuals aged 18–25 years, two young psychologists, and one job accommodator, and analyzed using the Johari Window theory which divides self-awareness into open areas, blind areas, hidden areas, and unknown areas. The results of the study show that the interpersonal communication of introverted Generation Z develops gradually and reflectively; Their open area expands as confidence and work experience increase, blind areas narrow through feedback receipts, hidden areas decrease as trust in the work environment grows, and unknown areas shrink as their potential is revealed. They develop authentic communication strategies that balance introspection, expression, and social adaptation, without having to turn the personality into extroverted. In conclusion, the survival of introverted Generation Z in the world of work is adaptive and reflective, emphasizing the importance of social experiences, environmental support, and the development of self-awareness to build effective and professional communication
A Sociolinguistic Analysis of Jargon and Fan-Terms in the Beri Cinta Waktu Fandom
Beri Cinta Waktu is a drama series that aired on SCTV on October 16th, 2025. The series focuses on the life of Adila, who has to choose between two men as her true love: Trian and Rama. Due to its high rating, even from the first episode, Beri Cinta Waktu's popularity gradually increases, attracting a large audience. Since then, a fandom on social media has emerged, focusing on their interest in the drama series. The purpose of this study is to examine how fandom members utilize jargon and fan terms, including portmanteaus, acronyms, and terms created by fans themselves. The study will utilize a sociolinguistic theory developed by William Labov to observe language variations, slang, and fan terms in the Beri Cinta Waktu fanbase. The method used is a qualitative approach to assess the effectiveness of using jargon and terms within the fanbase, and also utilizes purposive sampling to categorize language formations. As a result, the three types of jargon are focused on being observed, including acronyms, portmanteaus, and specialized fan terms used in the Beri Cinta Waktu fandom. All will be analyzed structurally to find the contexts of the jargon. After all, it will be stated that the analysed jargons represent two separate objects: first, the representation of the objects in Beri Cinta Waktu, and second, the fandom elements themselves. All will be connected with sociolinguistic theory, and then concluded by the connection between the fandom and the relationship between the members themselves
Pesantren and the Khilafah Discourse: Responses of Kiai in South Sumatra on Religion–State Relations
This study aims to examine the responses of pesantren communities in South Sumatra to the discourse of khilafah, particularly how kiai and santri interpret exclusive and inclusive Islamic texts in relation to religion–state dynamics. The research employed a qualitative method with a critical hermeneutic approach, combining in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies in five pesantren across three districts. The findings reveal that the pesantren communities do not perceive the khilafah merely as a political project, but as a discourse negotiated through da‘wah, education, and religious authority. Three major patterns of response were identified: (1) support for the nation-state while internalising Islamic values through da‘wah and education; (2) reflective acceptance of the khilafah as an ideal, but with contextual consideration for Indonesia’s pluralistic reality; and (3) normative rejection of both the nation-state and khilafah based on critical views of political failures. These responses demonstrate the active role of pesantren in shaping Islamic discourse, promoting moderation, and safeguarding national unity. The study concludes that pesantren function not only as educational institutions but also as centres of da‘wah and socio-political negotiation that adaptively respond to transnational Islamic ideologies in contemporary Indonesia
The Influence of Instructional Leadership, Professional Competence, and Learning Communities on the Quality of Public Elementary Schools
This research aims to analyze the influence of instructional leadership, teachers’ professional competence, and learning communities on the quality of elementary schools in Tembalang District, Semarang City. The study focuses on determining the extent to which each variable contributes, both partially and simultaneously, to school quality. A quantitative approach was applied using an ex post facto method and a correlational research design. The population consisted of all public elementary school teachers in Tembalang District, totaling 367 individuals. A proportional random sampling technique, classified as a probability sampling method, was employed to ensure representativeness from each school, resulting in a final sample of 191 teachers. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires, which underwent validity testing using Pearson's Product-Moment and reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha, confirming their validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression via SPSS version 26. The results revealed that, partially, instructional leadership contributed 84.8% to school quality, professional competence contributed 82.4%, and learning communities contributed 35.9%. Simultaneously, the three variables had a significant combined influence of 91.7%. These findings indicate that improving the quality of elementary schools requires a synergistic interaction between effective instructional leadership, strong professional competence of teachers, and active learning communities. The study is expected to serve as a valuable reference for education policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable strategies to enhance the quality of basic education
Implementation of the Learning Method of the Prophet Muhammad Saw at Islamic Boarding Schools
This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's learning method at the Madarijul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bandar Lampung. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a type of field research. Primary data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. Secondary data was obtained from literature studies in the form of books, journals, Qur'anic verses, and relevant hadiths. The data collection technique uses participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, with data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the five learning methods of the Prophet SAW—lecture/muhadharah, halaqah/egalitarian, reward and punishment (targhib-tarhib), gradual, and stories with wisdom—have been applied in an integrated manner in the pesantren environment. Each method has a distinctive form of implementation and has a positive impact on the development of character, discipline, and understanding of students. This finding affirms that the learning methods of the Prophet SAW remain relevant in the context of contemporary education and can be used as a reference in building a holistic Islamic education system. This research also highlights the importance of integrating prophetic values in character education. Recommendations for further research are to expand the location and context of the study, as well as examine the integration of the Prophet SAW's learning methods with technology-based learning approaches to answer the challenges of the times
The Strategic Role of Teachers in Determining Core Sociology Materials to Create Meaningful Learning
This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to examine the strategic role of teachers in determining meaningful and contextual Sociology subject matter in the Solo Raya and Central Java regions. Research data was obtained through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of learning planning and implementation documents. The research population is all active Sociology teachers who are members of the Sociology Teacher Conference (MGMP) of Greater Solo and Central Java, while the sample includes 13 teachers from four public and private high schools in Surakarta City, Sukoharjo Regency, Sragen Regency, and one aliyah madrasah in Surakarta. Data collection techniques include passive observation of the learning process from March 4-28, 2025, in-depth interviews with teachers, MGMP heads, and two students from each school, and document collection in the form of lesson plans, teaching modules, syllabi, and other teaching materials. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawn, and continuous verification. The results of the study showed that teachers applied three main strategies in the selection of essential materials, namely the relationship with students' social lives, continuity between materials, and strengthening literacy and numeracy. These findings confirm that teachers' autonomy and pedagogical capacity greatly determine the success of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in meaningful Sociology learning, so systemic support, continuous training, and collaboration between teachers through MGMP are needed
Digital Transformation in Educational Management for School Quality in the Digital Era
This study explores the phenomenon of digital transformation in educational management by examining its opportunities, challenges, and implications for school quality. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of how digital tools and platforms are reshaping school governance, pedagogy, and policy. Using a qualitative literature review method, data were collected from national and international scholarly articles, policy documents, and academic reports published between 2019 and 2025. A total of ten carefully selected articles were analyzed using content analysis to identify thematic patterns related to digital transformation in schools. The findings reveal that digital technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), AI-powered tools, and data-driven dashboards improve school efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and personalized learning. The results underscore that the success of digital transformation depends not only on technological readiness but also on leadership vision, inclusive strategies, and sustained digital policy planning. This study contributes theoretically to the discourse on digital educational leadership and practically to school-based digital transformation strategies in the digital era
Optimizing Principal Management for Deep Learning Curriculum Implementation in Vocational High Schools
The present study aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of school principals’ management in implementing the deep learning curriculum in vocational schools and to formulate strategic recommendations through a SWOT analysis. The current research employs a qualitative approach with a multisite case study design involving Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Central Java Province. The study population consisted of approximately 1,547 SMK principals across the province, while the research sample comprised 45 principals representing both public and private schools. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with school principals as the main informants. The analysis was conducted with thematic coding to classify the data into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, then synthesized in an operational SWOT matrix to formulate strategic recommendations. The results suggest that the principal has strategic leadership, builds a school culture that is open to innovation, and utilizes available facilities to support the implementation of deep learning. However, internal weaknesses were found in a dense, rigid curriculum, sporadic teacher training, limited technological infrastructure, and traditional assessment practices. The external side, government policies, partnership opportunities with industry and universities, and the demands of 21st-century competencies are important opportunities. Meanwhile, students' socio-economic disparities, uneven technological readiness, and fluctuating external support are real threats. The results confirm that strategic planning based on SWOT analysis can help principals maximize strengths and opportunities, while systematically addressing weaknesses and threats. The research findings are expected to be a reference for school principals, teachers, and policymakers
Mindful, Meaningful, and Joyful Learning Based IPAS Learning Strategies and ICT-Based Interactive Multimedia to Increase Student Collaboration and Creativity
This study aims to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the simultaneous effects of implementing the Mindful, Meaningful, and Joyful Learning (MMJ) approach integrated with the use of interactive multimedia based on information and communication technology (ICT) in enhancing elementary school students' collaboration skills and creativity, specifically at UPT SDN Kebonsari 1 Tuban. To achieve this objective, a quantitative research methodology was employed, enabling the collection of objective, systematic, and measurable data. The target population consisted of all 57 students enrolled at UPT SDN Kebonsari 1 Tuban. Since the total population was less than 100, a total sampling technique was applied, involving the entire population as research subjects to ensure full data representation. Primary data were collected using closed-ended questionnaires and structured observation sheets, designed to capture both students’ observable learning behaviors and their self-reported perceptions of the instructional process. All instruments were validated and tested for reliability prior to data analysis. The collected data were processed using SPSS software and analyzed with multiple linear regression to determine the extent to which the independent variables (MMJ approach and ICT-based multimedia) collectively influence the dependent variables (collaboration and creativity). Findings revealed that the application of the MMJ learning strategy, supported by interactive multimedia technologies, significantly contributes to fostering students’ ability to collaborate effectively and enhances their creative potential during learning activities. These results support the notion that engaging, meaningful, and context-aware instructional designs are not only capable of improving student learning outcomes but also align closely with the development of 21st-century competencies
