Gender Justice in Islamic Education: A Study of Parents' Perceptions and Practices in Disanah Village, Indonesia
This study examines the implementation of gender justice principles in Islamic education within family contexts in Disanah Village, Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach combining surveys (n=83 households) and in-depth interviews, the research explores parental perceptions regarding educational equality between male and female children. The study investigates how Islamic principles related to educational justice are understood and applied at the family level, particularly in rural Indonesian Muslim communities. Through a sequential explanatory design, quantitative data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, followed by qualitative interviews analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that while all respondents (100%) acknowledge their responsibility for children's education, perspectives on equal treatment vary slightly, with 94.04% supporting equal educational opportunities regardless of gender and 5.95% prioritizing children with exceptional abilities. The study concludes that Islamic principles of educational justice are widely understood and valued in the community, though implementation challenges persist. These findings contribute to understanding how religious values can support gender equality in educational settings and offer insights for developing culturally-sensitive approaches to promoting educational equity in Muslim-majority contexts
Integrasi Teknologi dalam Pengajaran Bahasa Arab di Madrasah
This research aims to expose different ways of using technology in Arabic language teaching, assess the effectiveness of technology in improving students' language skills, and discover the obstacles and supporting elements of using technology. The ultimate goal of this research is to provide practical suggestions on using technological innovations to improve the quality of Arabic language learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study applies a qualitative approach with a multisite type to explore the process of technology integration in Arabic language teaching in various educational institutions. Through data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation in several locations, this research seeks to uncover patterns of implementation, obstacles faced, and effective strategies that support the success of technology integration in contextualized Arabic language learning. The data is collected through classroom observations, interviews with Arabic teachers, and documentation studies on using digital learning media. Data analysis in this study was conducted qualitatively with a multisite approach, starting from the data reduction process by selecting important information from interviews, observations, and documentation in several educational institutions. The results show that learning videos, digital dictionary apps, online quizzes, and language learning platforms such as Google Classroom and Duolingo significantly increase student participation. However, unequal technology infrastructure and limited training for teachers become major problems. It is proven that using technology in Arabic language teaching increases learning effectiveness and interactivity. However, implementation relies heavily on well-prepared teachers, available infrastructure, and institutional policy support. For these innovations to be successful and sustainable, educators and technology developers must work together

Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Masyarakat Dalam Penguatan Toleransi Antar Umat Beragama Di Jalan Jepara RW 01 Surabaya
Indonesia is a pluralistic nation with a diverse population in terms of religion, ethnicity, and culture. Amidst this diversity, religious tolerance plays a crucial role in maintaining social harmony. This study aims to explore the role of community-based Islamic education in fostering interfaith tolerance within the multireligious environment of Jalan Jepara RW 01, Surabaya. The findings indicate that TPQ students demonstrate empathetic attitudes toward differences, which are reflected in their inclusive social interactions—such as not discriminating against peers based on religion and actively participating in interfaith social activities. The Islamic education provided not only focuses on religious cognitive aspects but also instills values of tolerance, appreciation for diversity, and a spirit of peaceful coexistence. This study contributes to the body of literature on Islamic education and pluralism by emphasizing the role of informal institutions such as TPQ as key agents in shaping tolerant character within diverse societies. Strengthening non-formal education in local contexts can be an effective strategy for enhancing social cohesion and reducing the potential for religion-based conflicts
Moralities of Muslim and the Advancement of Western World in the Perspective of Suluk Linglung
This research aims to discuss about Muslims' moralities upon the Western World's advancement in the teachings of the Islamic holy book whose the first revelation that came down was the command to read, understand and develop. Muslims must have the courage to acknowledge the advancement, including that of Western countries with all their civilizational progress, even though it is also influenced by ideology, state, and religion; which is also in line with the values contained in the work of Suluk Linglung by Sunan Kalijaga, one of Muslim saints in medieval Indonesia. By using the Gadamer’s hermeneutic method, the author tried to observe, understand, confirm, and look for similarities between the values of Suluk Linglung and the progressive civilization already exists in Western society. The author argues that Muslims must avoid and discard negative values from Western society's culture as they do not exist in Suluk Linglung Sunan Kalijaga
Living the Message: Embodied Da'wah and Religious Tourism Innovation at the Sunan Muria Pilgrimage Site
This study investigates da’wah bil hal through religious tourism service innovations at the Sunan Muria Mosque and Tomb Foundation, addressing the limited scholarly attention to how practical service improvements can function as a medium for Islamic proselytization. Using a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach, the research captures the lived experiences of pilgrims to explore how specific innovations shape their spiritual engagement, sense of comfort, and overall safety during visitation. Rather than merely listing developments, this study analyzes how architectural enhancements, spatial reorganizations, and management reforms collectively foster a conducive environment for da’wah by embodying Islamic values of hospitality, cleanliness, and communal care. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on religious tourism and Islamic communication by demonstrating that service-oriented innovations, when guided by spiritual intent, can reinforce religious identity and deepen pilgrims’ spiritual experiences. This research advances the understanding of da’wah bil hal as a contextual, experience-based form of Islamic outreach embedded in contemporary pilgrimage practices.
Curative Da’wah as Psychospiritual Intervention: An Islamic Spirituality-Based Approach to Drug Addiction Rehabilitation in Indonesia
This study examines the role of curative da'wah as a psychospiritual intervention in the rehabilitation of drug addicts within an Islamic spirituality-based framework. While drug abuse in Indonesia is increasing, little research has explored how da'wah, traditionally associated with religious preaching, can be adapted into a therapeutic approach addressing the spiritual and psychosocial needs of recovering addicts. The research was conducted at the House of Serenity Rehabilitation Center in Bandar Lampung using a descriptive qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving 15 participants, including former addicts, spiritual mentors, and program managers. The analysis, guided by the Miles & Huberman interactive model, revealed three main findings: (1) structured curative da'wah sessions combining ritual, reflection, and mentoring; (2) significant changes in participants' spiritual orientation and interpersonal relationships, with 80% reporting stronger meaning in life and no relapse during the study period; and (3) empathetic communication that fosters trust, emotional resilience, and identity reconstruction. These results suggest that curative da'wah can serve as a complementary, context-specific strategy for holistic addiction recovery, with potential application in community-based and spiritually grounded mental health programs
Strategic Management Approaches in Designing Anti-Corruption Curriculum
This study aims to critically examine how strategic management approaches can be operationally integrated into the design and implementation of anti-corruption curricula within Indonesia’s education system. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature-based method. The data used are secondary sources, including peer-reviewed academic articles, government policy documents (Stranas PK, MoECRT regulations), curriculum frameworks (EPAs, Integrated Competency Framework), and institutional reports from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Ministry of Education. Data collection was conducted through document analysis, focusing on texts that discuss the intersection of strategic management, curriculum development, and anti-corruption education. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify patterns, strategies, and conceptual models that link strategic planning to educational practices fostering integrity. The findings indicate that effective anti-corruption education requires the synergy of strategic institutional vision, value-oriented curriculum design, and participatory pedagogical methods. Strategic management tools such as the Balanced Scorecard can serve as guiding instruments in aligning educational outcomes with integrity-based governance. Furthermore, stakeholder collaboration including government bodies, educators, civil society, and the private sector is crucial in curriculum development and policy implementation. The study recommends policy reforms that prioritize the integration of anti-corruption values into national education strategies, institutional governance, and curriculum frameworks. In conclusion, this study affirms that strategic management plays a vital role in building sustainable and transformative anti-corruption education
