The Influence of Parenting Style and Teacher's Teaching Style on Student Learning Independence
This study used a quantitative approach to analyze the influence of parenting styles and teaching methods on students' learning independence. All fifth-grade students at the school constituted the study population, with a sample of 20 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression. The results show that parenting styles have a greater impact (t = 5.155, p < 0.05) than teaching styles (t = 2.780, p < 0.05). The F-test confirms a significant combined effect (F = 12.917, p < 0.0001), with an R² value of 0.618, indicating that 61.8% of learning independence is explained by these variables. The findings highlight the importance of democratic parenting and interactive teaching in fostering student autonomy. Collaboration between parents and teachers is essential for maximizing learning independence

Gamification tools like Blooket offer an innovative approach to enhancing Akidah Akhlak education in the digital era
Actualization of Religious Moderation Values in Multi-Ethnic Schools
This study aims to examine how the values of religious moderation are actualized in daily life in multi-ethnic schools in Medan City. The city of Medan, as a multicultural city, presents challenges as well as opportunities in fostering a tolerant and inclusive attitude among students from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. A qualitative approach was used in this study with case study methods in several secondary schools that represented this diversity. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, principals, and students, and analysis of curriculum and school program documents. Data analysis techniques are carried out with the following steps: Data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and a conclusion drawn. Then, the data is processed using the ATLAS.ti 9 application. The results of the study show that the actualization of the value of religious moderation is reflected through the integration of tolerance materials in religious learning and PPKn, strengthening the role of teachers as agents of moderation, and the implementation of interfaith and cultural activities that strengthen social harmony. However, this study also found a number of challenges, such as the lack of teacher training in religious moderation and the external influence of social media that contains intolerance content. Therefore, synergy between schools, the government, and the community is needed to support the sustainability of religious moderation practices in a more systematic and sustainable manner
The Role of Religious Moderation in Enhancing Social Harmony and Interfaith Tolerance among University Students
Radicalism and intolerance among religious communities in universities indicate a lack of understanding of religious moderation among students. This study aims to analyze the role of religious moderation in strengthening social harmony and interfaith tolerance among students of different faiths. The methodology used is a literature review, with data from journals, books, and relevant research conducted over the past five years. The results reveal a significant gap between the concept of religious moderation and its actual practice among students in campus life. While moderation is emphasized in educational policies, it has not yet been fully internalized as a social behavior, particularly in students' everyday interactions. These results suggest that religious education based on moderation should focus on transforming theoretical concepts into tangible actions, not merely discourse. The study also identifies that moderate religious values, such as balance, justice, and tolerance, are crucial for reducing intolerance and radicalism. Therefore, the study recommends strengthening campus policies and increasing student participation as key agents of interfaith harmony. Additionally, it suggests future research using qualitative field approaches to explore how religious moderation is applied in students' daily lives
Evaluating the Effectiveness of Contextual and Problem-Based Learning Approaches in the Pedagogical Practice of Christian Religious Education
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) models within the Community Service Program (PPkM) in the Christian Religious Education (CRE) course at the Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the research involved 393 students across eight faculties who had participated in the PPkM initiative. The findings reveal that applying CTL and PBL significantly supports achieving CRE learning objectives by enhancing students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Moreover, these pedagogical models foster students' ability to reflect their faith through tangible actions, positioning the learning environment as a contextual and transformative ministry space. Evaluation scores averaged from “good” to “very good,” indicating that service-based learning effectively bridges the gap between theory and practice. This research offers a vital contribution to the development of a Christian Religious Education curriculum that is contextually relevant and responsive to the dynamics of Indonesia’s multicultural societ

The Interaction of Elderly Individuals in Learning to Read the Qur'an
This study aims to examine the interaction of elderly individuals in learning to read the Qur’an, particularly in the context of the implementation of Surah Al-Qamar, verse 17. It also analyzes the teaching strategies employed, the symbolic interaction between participants and the Qur’an, and the learning motivation among elderly learners. This research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Hidayah, located in Dusun Mojogeneng, Desa Mojogeneng, Kecamatan Jatirejo, Kabupaten Mojokerto, East Java. The pesantren provides Qur’anic learning programs for elderly learners in a supportive and age-friendly environment. This study adopts a qualitative approach utilizing a case study method with data obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to interpret the interaction of elderly learners in Qur’anic education. The findings reveal that applying the values contained in Surah Al-Qamar:17 strengthens participants’ faith and perseverance in learning the Qur’an. Meanwhile, adaptive teaching strategies that align with the characteristics of older adults play a crucial role in maintaining their motivation. The symbolic interaction developed between the participants and the Qur’an provides profound spiritual and emotional meaning, serving as a key driver for the continuity of learning in old age. The study also reveals that the motivation of elderly learners is not solely intrinsic but is also influenced by social support from their surrounding environment. However, the study's limitation lies in its focus on a single research site and its reliance on subjectively interpreted qualitative data, which should be considered when generalizing the findings. These results are expected to serve as a foundation for developing more effective and compassionate methods of Qur’anic instruction for elderly learners
