No full textThis study explores the effectiveness of constructivist theory in enhancing students' understanding and critical thinking skills. Through active participation in constructivist learning, students demonstrated improved abilities to connect concepts with real-world experiences, resulting in better learning outcomes and reduced errors in applying concepts. The findings are consistent with previous research, emphasizing the importance of student-centered learning approaches in achieving deeper understanding. However, challenges were identified in implementing constructivist theory, particularly when teaching abstract concepts and engaging students with limited prior knowledge. Despite these challenges, the benefits of constructivist approaches, which prioritize meaningful and contextual learning, outweigh the drawbacks. The study underscores the need for educators to continue developing student-centered teaching methods while providing the necessary support to overcome potential obstacles
Learning Applied Fine Arts Materials Used by High School Students
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the stages of learning applied fine arts from used materials in grade XII-1 students of Kemala Bhayangkari 3 Porong High School. It is a qualitative descriptive research whose subjects are teachers and students of grade XII. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that learning applied art from used towel materials goes through several stages, namely the learning planning stage, the learning implementation stage, and the learning assessment stage. Applied art can be used for human needs because it can be processed and made into crafts with use and beauty value. Applying art learning from used materials motivates students to develop creativity and learning skills. In the assessment, the weight of students' grades increased by 30% from the very low initial assessment in producing work, creativity, and innovation. The suggestions given include optimizing art infrastructure facilities in schools for hands-on practice. Learning should be focused on functional applied arts projects, and collaboration should be encouraged between students in groups
Training on Portioning Standards and Food Management in Daycare Centers in Bandung City
Get PDFDaycare is one of the places that has an important role in supporting children's growth and development, including ensuring children's nutritional intake is appropriate for their age. However, the current quality of daycare centers has not reached the appropriate level. Thus, assisting and increasing caregiver knowledge and skills on organizing a good meal is necessary. This community service program aims to improve the ability of caregivers to calculate nutritional intake according to children's needs and to properly manage the organization of meals in daycare. The method used in this program is a quasi-experiment, which provides training and assistance in preparing lunch menus and morning/afternoon snacks based on local foods. The results of the service program showed that 78.6% of caregivers stated that they were satisfied with the help provided by lecturers and female students during the daycare food menu cooking training, 85.7% of caregivers stated that the food menu made was easy to apply in their workplaces, and 92.9% of caregivers stated that the training provided was by their needs and wanted similar training again. This program can be an effective alternative to increase caregivers' knowledge in Daycare in preparing menus according to the nutritional needs of children

Adolescence is a very crucial period because During this period children experience many psychological and physical changes his physique. The occurrence of mental changes causes confusion among teenagers, they experience full emotional turmoil and mental pressure resulting in deviating from rules and norms social issues that prevail among society. Apart from that, adolescence is also marked by a search for identity, independence, and exploration of social and emotional roles. Teenagers tend to develop their own outlook on life, values and preferences, often influenced by family, peers and the surrounding environment. In the process of development of psychological maturity and biologically, teenagers often face tension, confusion, and worries. Teenagers are fond of experimenting with unstable emotions so easily influenced.

The leadership of school principals plays a vital role in creating a harmonious and moderate educational environment, particularly in Indonesia, which is rich in cultural and religious diversity. This study aims to explore the strategies and challenges faced by school principals in realizing religious moderation within educational institutions. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this research analyzes the literature discussing the role of school principals in integrating values of tolerance and religious moderation. The findings indicate that school principals can instill tolerance values through inclusive policies, build a curriculum based on religious moderation, create a harmonious school environment, and serve as role models for moderate attitudes. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of education in Indonesia and support efforts to create a more tolerant and harmonious society.
 
Pengaruh Kualitas Produk dan Kualitas Pelayanan Terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Mie Gacoan di Tangerang Selatan
No full textThis study is titled The Effect of Product Quality and Service Quality on Consumer Satisfaction of Mie Gacoan in Tangerang Selatan. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of product quality and service quality on consumer satisfaction of Mie Gacoan in Tangerang Selatan. This research employs a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study consists of consumers who have purchased Mie Gacoan products in South Tangerang. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, with a sample size of 100 respondents who are Mie Gacoan consumers. The data analysis in this study is conducted using IBM SPSS 21 software. Data collection is carried out through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to Mie Gacoan consumers in Tangerang Selatan. The results of this study indicate that the product quality variable has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction, with a partial test significance result of 0.000. Similarly, the service quality variable also has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction, with a partial test significance value of 0.001. Furthermore, simultaneously, the product quality and service quality variables have a significant effect on consumer satisfaction, as shown by the F-test result with a significance value of 0.000
The Friction between Religious Groups during the Pandemic and the Urge of Dialogue
No full textThis paper discusses conflict between and within religions occurring during the pandemic. The government’s regulation on closing public spaces, including houses of worship, has led all religious groups to perform and to do their worship from home. However, it is oftentimes disobeyed; some rituals and worships are believed to require a number of people to get involved in, including Jumah prayer which belongs to Islamic tradition and Ibadah Minggu which belongs to Christianity. The result shows that conflict that leads to violence often occurs in the process of reinforcing the regulation where mostly the rule-breakers act as the offenders. Yet, in some occasions, the Islamic tradition is generally treated in an exclusive manner. This paper also examines the best strategy to resolve religious conflict and to build peace as well as to prevent such conflict to happen yet another time in the future – that is, through dialogue accompanied by religious rituals and symbols

No full textThe Umayyad Dynasty was the first Islamic empire, and independence in various aspects, including economic self-sufficiency, was essential to achieve the welfare of society and ensure the dynasty’s continuity. Throughout its long period of rule, the Umayyad Dynasty was led by 14 caliphs, each with their unique leadership style. However, only three of these caliphs succeeded in bringing the Umayyad Dynasty to its peak: Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan, Abdul Malik bin Marwan, and Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Economic growth increased during the reign of the Umayyads compared to previous periods. The economic improvements that brought prosperity to the people of this dynasty were a direct result of the caliphs’ policies, supported by public participation. This study aims to understand the economic concepts implemented by Muslims during the Umayyad era. Using a library research method with a descriptive-analytical and qualitative approach, the study reviews the concept of “property law” through related articles. The analysis shows that during the Umayyad period, the economy grew more rapidly than in previous times, with prosperity resulting from the policies of the caliphs, particularly Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan, Abdul Malik bin Marwan, and Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Their policies, along with the support of the public, played a crucial role in the economic growth of the Umayyad era. Changes in Islamic life occurred swiftly, encompassing various fields of knowledge such as religion, architecture, science, technology, and economics.

No full textThis article discusses the role of communication in human life, focusing on millennials' communication patterns in romantic relationships. Communication is considered a fundamental element that shapes social interactions and relationships between individuals. Millennials, living in the digital age, exhibit fast and instant communication patterns, often through social media and text messages. Although technology makes interactions easier, new challenges arise such as a lack of interpersonal communication skills. This research uses a literature review approach to analyze the communication patterns of millennials, as well as the positive and negative impacts of using technology in relationships. Hopefully, by understanding these communication patterns, more effective strategies can be found to improve the quality of millennials' romantic relationships
Implementation of Parole in Prisoner Development in Correctional Institutions (Case Study at Class 1 Correctional Institution Surabaya)
No full textParole is one of the mechanisms in the criminal justice system that aims to reintegrate prisoners into society before their sentence ends, with certain conditions. This study aims to examine the implementation of parole in Class 1 Correctional Institution Surabaya, focusing on implementation and its challenges. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an empirical juridical approach involving observation, in-depth interviews with inmates and prison officers, and analysis of related documents. The study results show that the implementation of parole in the Class 1 Prison in Surabaya has been going well and by applicable regulations. However, this study also found several obstacles, such as the absence of a guarantor as a condition for the implementation of parole, community resistance, the unpreparedness of the inmates themselves, and the factor of administrative completeness. In conclusion, although parole in the Class 1 Prison in Surabaya has been running well and its implementation has been in accordance with applicable regulations, its implementation requires improvements in terms of socialization to the guarantor and the community, and coordination between institutions is further improved. The recommendations of this study are increased training for prison officers, increased cooperation with community organizations, and the formulation of policies that are more supportive of the parole program.
