The language of the humankind is linked to the creation of meaning and expressions of human behaviors and emotions. Language is said to manipulate and persuade people’s perception of ‘reality’ (Holmes, 2013). The reality—social and linguistic landscapes— that people construct is affected by the linguistic choices members of the community make.  This research investigated the possibility of a Meranaw uniform orthography in terms of the word spelling and symbols by examining the varieties of the language in terms of its lexicons.  Understanding varieties can unlock answers questions regarding variety’s causes and its contribution to the development of the language in terms of orthography—which can actually help Meranaw writers extend studies on other components of the language. These factors contributed to the direction of this paper as it attempted to investigate the sprouting of the varieties and its lexical changes. The findings of the study revealed that even though there were Meranaw lexical variants, it does not hinder the communication to be effective. The paper also showed that Meranaw lexical variants are mutually intelligible among the surveyed Meranaw communities. Mutual intelligibility suggests that language is convention--- meaning that even if there are varieties, the Meranaw language itself serve as a unifying link in keeping a society intact. The Meranaw language brings together one culture and its usage is a means to express community’s style in an effort to create a social reality. This reality allows them to express their thoughts and ideas through their languag

Then the pre-test were given to the students of both control and experimental groups. After the pre-test, students in both groups for 6 weeks and every week for two hours were trained for learning English reading comprehension proficiency skills. The difference is that students in the control group were trained in traditional way and the students in experimental group were trained by using wikis. At the end of four weeks, the post test was administered for students in both groups. Four standard tools were used for data collection in this study. At first reading comprehension proficiency test was given to two groups in order to determine the level of reading comprehension skills. The second tool was a test that was used as pre-test, post-test and delayed post-test. The third instrument was reading comprehension texts that were selected from different sites of Wiki (e.g., Wikipedia, Wiki Facebook, wiki, wiki Dick, Wiki News) in both form of offline and online will be available to students. The fourth instrument was Systematic Functional Grammar (SFG) scale for difficulty level of texts (Shokrpour, 2004). The descriptive statistics indicators such as frequency, mean and standard deviation of scores and in the inferential part in order to examining the hypothesis, one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used. The results showed that the use of wikis increase the ability to understand the semantic meaning of word

Every computer connected to a wide computer network is  vulnerable to the occurrence of data, information, resources and services that exist in the system from actions such as intrusion, wiretapping, theft and misuse of important data to damage to network systems, which are carried out by irresponsible intruders, wiretapping, theft and misuse of important data by individuals, groups, within a company/government agency or private sector, even damage to computer network systems may occur. in a company, which is done by an intruder or attacker who is not responsible. Honeypot honeyd is a method that can be applied, implemented in medium to large scale companies, especially those that have implemented computer-based systems and technology, to prevent, anticipate bad actions before they occur and take quick action when bad impacts occur. Honeypot honeyd with low-interaction, which is to interact indirectly with the attacker, because honeyd positions itself as a bait or a shadow server that is deliberately attacked so that the results of the attack can be known and analyzed. In this research, honeyd honeypot is a shadow server that resembles a real server, which has several services along with ports that are deliberately opened for attack. The results of this research can be seen that there is an infiltration or direct attack, seen from the increase in network traffic above normal on the monitor system, and also can be seen log files from Honeyd in detail what the attackers have done or are currently doing to be analyzed and then take precautions, anticipation, socialization of security in carrying out activities that are directly related to the outside world through the network, improving both servers, network systems and existing services. Thus the honeyd honeypot can help save important data, resources and can improve computer network security systems

    Get PDF
Fuzzy logic is an extension of traditional reasoning, where x is a member of set A or not, or an x can be a member of set A with a certain degree of membership . The ability of fuzzy models to map fuzzy values is the reason for using fuzzy inference models in various cases that use fuzzy values to produce a clear or definite output. In this research, an analysis of the level of accuracy generated by the Sugeno and Mamdani inference model will be carried out in predicting rainfall at Polonia Station, Medan, North Sumatra. Prediction results will be analyzed for accuracy by comparing the results obtained by Sugeno fuzzy inference models and Mamdani using Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE). When compared to the results of the Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) Sugeno fuzzy inference model of 1.33% and mamdani fuzzy inference model of 1.45%, then the accuracy rate for the Sugeno inference model is 100%-1.33% = 98.67% while the Mamdani fuzzy inference model is 100%-1.45 = 98.55%. The end result is that the membership function model used in the Sugeno fuzzy model is more accurate than the Mamdani fuzzy inference model in the test case of rainfall prediction at Polonia station in Medan. North Sumatra. The results of the analysis carried out for the Sugeno and Mamdani fuzzy models are influenced by the accuracy of the input values. Rainfall prediction is an important thing to study, weather conditions in certain areas can be predicted so that it can help people's daily activities, can determine a series of community social activities. For example, information on rainfall and its classification is widely used as a guide for agriculture, tourism and transportation, for example: Cropping Patterns, Harvest Predictions, Shipping and flight schedule
