The Importance of Oral Literature from the Perspective of Ethnology
Literature is a cultural part of society which is included of education, believes, arts, morals, laws, disciplines, traditions, habits and capacity in the society. Oral literature is the oldest type of literature which has a great role in formation of classical literature. Literary genre in a geographical limitation helps to know the culture and tradition of its people. It would happen if we have deep insight of ethnology from perspective of oral literature. Ethnology helps to know social habits of the people through its myths, proverbs, articles, couplets, stories etc. as a result, we can say that oral literature has an important role in ethnology and without deep insight in oral literature and literary genres of literature knowing people would be not possible
The Effect of the Learning Model "Problem Based Learning" on Interpersonal Intelligence and Student Pancasila and Civic Subject Learning Outcomes
To find out the factors that can determine student learning outcomes and measure students' interpersonal intelligence in PANCASILA AND CIVIC EDUCATION subjects in class IV 8 Langkat students with the theme 1 Beautiful togetherness and sub -theme 1 Diversity of my nation's culture in the PBL learning model. . Researchers use quasi experimental design because in this study there are variables from outside that cannot be controlled by researchers. The design used in this study is the two group pretest-post-test design. The researcher conducted a normality and homogeneity test assisted using SPSS 26.0. Data Pretest and Posttest Learning Outcomes Based on the Normality Test. The results show that the experimental and control classes have a significance value of greater than 0, 05. Data Pretest and Learning Outcomes Based on the homogeneity test in Table 4 obtained a significance value greater than 0.05 (0, 47> 0.05). Interpersonal intelligence and learning outcomes of students who are taught with the problem based learning model are better than students who are taught with direct learning models (direct instruction). There is a positive relationship between interpersonal intelligence and student learning outcomes taught with a problem based learning model. The increase in learning outcomes was 0.41 (medium) and an increase in the interpersonal intelligence of students was 0.55 (medium)
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Hebron University EFL Learners’ Anxiety
Due to pandemic the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning situation has moved from traditional to online learning to hold back the further spread of the pandemic. This transformation largely impacted the condition of psychology, specifically anxiety issues. This study examines the impact of COVID-19 on Hebron University (EFL) learners' anxiety in Palestine. The researchers examined the various levels of anxiety triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic among university learners. Additionally, the researchers examined some causes that surge anxiety among learners amidst COVID-19, and the recommendations used by students to lessen the undesirable effects of anxiety on learners amidst COVID-19. The researchers employed both quantitative and qualitative methods to gather data. The researchers collected the data for the study from 70 EFL students at Hebron University. This research demonstrated that COVID-19 triggers high anxiety among the EFL students at Hebron University, Palestine. The researchers concluded with some recommendations
Study of Gender in Pashto Grammar
According to female perspective the male mentality about them in culture, is the mentality based on narcissism, which is a social reality. On this basis, we can also study languages that, according to women perspective or feminist theory, retain their gender and differentiate between word meanings and grammatical rules based on gender. In these languages, there used to be Avestian and Persian, which now leaves behind gender in the language. now it is Pashto, which still retains gender and differentiates linguistic rules and trends based on gender. In Pashto, gender is dominated by two areas: One in independent concepts and the other in grammatical variations. In Pashto, there is a gender difference in the price of nouns, adjectives, numbers, and adverbs, as well as in the case of verb descriptions. However, in all these contexts, the source is masculinity, from which the feminine derives, so there are two ways: from the most common masculine to feminine
The Influence of Guided Inquiry, Discovery Learning Models and Learning Styles on Learning Outcomes
This study was conducted with three objectives, namely: 1) to determine the difference in the influence of guided inquiry learning model and discovery model on student’s learning outcomes in science subjects on the human excretory system in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan ; 2) to determine the difference in the influence of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles on student’s learning outcomes in science subjects on the human excretory system in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan ; and 3) to determine the interaction between the two learning models and learning styles in influencing student’s learning outcomes in science subjects on the human excretory system in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan. The approach used in this study was a quantitative approach with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest group design with a 2x3 factorial treatment level. The research sample consisted of all students in class VIII1, totaling 28 students, and class VIII4, totaling 30 students, with the sampling technique using Cluster Random Sampling. The results of the study indicate that, firstly, students who were taught using the guided inquiry learning model performed better or excelled compared to students taught using the discovery learning model. Secondly, students who were taught using the visual learning style performed better or excelled compared to students taught using the auditory or kinesthetic learning styles. Thirdly, there is an interaction between the two learning models and learning styles on students' learning outcomes in science subjects on the human excretory system
Improving Problem Resolve Skill and Science Learning Result with Creating Worksheet Based on STEM
The occurring problem, student worksheets have not been created truly in the learning process student worksheets used in the learning process only comes from. The student worksheets are not interactive, so that they have an impact on low learning outcomes and ability to solve science problems for fourth grade students at SDN 05 Binanga Dua. This research includes development research. This development research uses ADDIE development. The results of the development show that the manufacturing process produces the student worksheets on the STEM approach for grade IV students with a quality and valid. The results showed that the validation results of student worksheets feasibility test were based on the assessment of the three validators, namely the validation results of learning material experts of 88.23% with a very feasible classification, the validation results of linguists of 83.03% with a very feasible classification, the results of the presentation design expert validation of 93.75% with very decent qualifications. Furthermore, a feasibility test was carried out in small groups to obtain a data percentage of 84.6% and the trial was carried out again in the large group with a percentage result of 89.25% as a reinforcement of the feasibility assessment carried out by the homeroom teacher with a percentage result of 90%. So based on the validity of the student worksheets product, it shows very valid results which show that the student worksheets product is very feasible to be applied in learning activities
Social Studies Material Design Based on Cultural Literacy as a Systemic Program for Developing Social Skills Competencies
The 21st century life skills are seen as urgent in connection with globalization that brings change and paradox that demands students' competencies to be equipped with a number of social skills so that they can be competitive in the global era. To meet these competencies, it is necessary to designed the 21st century social skills systemic programs in the scope of higher education. This study aims to design social studies based cultural literacy material to develop student social skills competencies. The research method used is the R&D method by following the Borg & Gall procedures. The research subjects involved: lecturers of courses; students as subjects for limited group trials; and four experts who have social studies expert criteria. The instrument used was the Social Studies learning material design questionnaire which was validated by experts and analyzed using the average percentage of scores. Data analysis was also carried out on the results of observations related to student social skills competencies through qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Observation of student competencies is carried out both during the learning process takes place in the classroom and in project activities outside the classroom. The results showed that the design of social studies learning material based on cultural literacy was declared valid and suitable for use. The results also show that learning material designs can develop student social skills competencies which include aspects: Social interaction skills, effective communication skills, skills in building teams, and skills in problem solving
The Impact of Teacher Power on University Students’ Satisfaction
The aim of this study was to find the impact of teacher power on students’ satisfaction. Participants were 364 university students (60 girls and 304 boys) which were selected by quota-random sampling method. All the students of the research sample voluntarily completed the questionnaires about the teacher’s power and students’ satisfaction. For analyzing the research data, SPSS.v.24 software was used. Results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between student satisfaction with both referent power and expert power. In addition, According to the difference in averages, the highest Mean is related to the type of reward power and the lowest mean was related to the type of coercive power. The findings further showed that female students are more satisfied than male students and in both groups, the least satisfaction was for evaluation method. Finally, the results indicate the importance of the optimal use of various teachers' power sources by teachers in forming a favorable climate, which can play a key role in increasing the satisfaction of students
The Effect of Business Capital on Entrepreneurship Success with Self-Confidence as a Moderating Variable
Business capital is a very important element for small industries to build their business to achieve success and self-confidence is also an important component in entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the effect of business capital on entrepreneurial success moderated by self-confidence. The population in this study are all entrepreneurs in the area of Helvetia, Central Medan, as many as 121 entrepreneurs and samples are total. The data in this study consisted of primary data obtained through a questionnaire while secondary data was obtained through the Helvetia central village office was then processed and analyzed with simple regression analysis and MRA analysis. The results of the study show that 1) venture capital influences entrepreneurial success, and 2) venture capital influences entrepreneurial success moderated by self-confidence
Analysis of Income Enhancement of Cattle in Karo Regency
The enhancement of the income of the s is expected to have an impact on the welfare of cattle breeders in Karo Regency. The focus of this paper is to decide the factors that influence the respondents’ income to grow Cattle business better in Karo Regency. It also was conducted in Tigapanah District, Tigabinanga District and Dolat Rakyat District in Karo Regency with using 78 respondents. The results showed that the cattle breeds, the feed, the labor and the selling cost of livestock were factors that had a notable result on the respondents’ income in Karo Regency, while the cages cost and other costs did not have a notable effect on the respondents’ income in Karo Regency
