Impact of Body Weight on Blood Pressure Among University Students
Body weight and blood pressure are two vital health indicators that are closely related. Excessive body weight or obesity, in particular, has been strongly associated with higher blood pressure, a key risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Blood pressure, which measures the force of blood against the walls of blood vessels, is influenced by several factors, including body composition, physical activity, and diet. For young adults, maintaining a healthy weight is especially important, as early high blood pressure can result in long-term health issues. Recognizing the connection between body weight and blood pressure in this group is crucial for developing preventive measures against hypertension. This study examines the relationship between body weight and blood pressure among university students at the Universiti Teknologi MARA Pahang Branch Jengka Campus. A sample of 43 students, aged 18 to 22, from various faculties was selected for analysis. Descriptive statistics and Spearman rank correlation were used to investigate the association between body weight and blood pressure (systolic and diastolic). The results showed a statistically significant positive linear correlation, indicating that as body weight increases, both systolic and diastolic blood pressure also rise. These findings are consistent with previous research highlighting a strong linear correlation between body mass and blood pressure. The study underscores the importance of maintaining a healthy weight to reduce the risk of hypertension, particularly in young adults. Future research should explore additional factors affecting blood pressure and assess the effectiveness of weight management strategies in similar populations

Factors Associated with Willingness for Sputum Examination Among Tuberculosis Suspects and Risk Groups at Ambarita Health Center, Samosir Regency
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that remains an important global and Indonesian public health problem. Optimizing case finding is one of the strategies to control TB in Indonesia, but TB case finding only reached 74.7 percent out of a target of 90 percent in 2022. The delay in case finding is due to the lack of public awareness to check themselves to health care facilities and many people refuse to have their sputum examined. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the willingness to conduct sputum examination in suspected TB and at-risk groups at the Ambarita Health Center, Samosir Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The study population was TB suspects and people who have household contact with TB patients. A sample of 118 people was selected using simple random sampling. The results showed that age (p=0,021; PR=2,433; 95% CI= 1,198–4,943), knowledge (p=0,016; PR=2,523; 95% CI= 1,243–5,120), and perception (p=0,009; PR=3,061; 95% CI= 1,316–7,118) were associated with the willingness to conduct sputum examination among TB suspects and at-risk groups at the Ambarita Health Center, Samosir Regency, while gender (p=1,000), education (p=0,110), occupation (p=0,211), and income (p=0,145) were not. The health center is expected to provide education and counselling to the community and form a group of TB survivors to help provide social support and share experiences about the course of TB disease to increase knowledge and build good perceptions of TB disease
Towards an Analysis of the Visual Images of the Drawings of the Child Survivors of War: A Semiotic Study
In this research, children used poster narratives to communicate their perspectives of the Marawi Siege. A social semiotic approach was utilized to understand their visualizations. This study aimed to look into the aspect of understanding the narratives of the child victims of the Marawi Siege through their drawings, referred to poster narratives in this study, by extracting the visual images present. The collection of data was limited to the two temporary shelters in Marawi: Boganga and Rorogagus. The researcher collected 40 poster narratives from the different temporary shelters in Marawi City, and the recurrent visual images were those of Social Actors, Shattered Place, Battle Aircraft and Weapons. The child-respondents included significant minute details in illustrating the social actors such as tears, sad and scared expressions, color and position, and at times, supported these emotions with texts which served as anchorage. From these findings, it could be drawn that a careful study of the shapes, strokes, colors, position, number and size of the images was of paramount significance to better understand the data output of the children-respondents. The posters are not meaningless forms or shapes. They convey materials or images from the deeper recesses of the minds or psyches of the respondents

Linguistic Landscape Analysis of Identity Representation in Public Signs at Watugong Buddhist Monastery Semarang
Public signs at Watugong Monastery in Semarang serve not only as guides for visitors but also as representations of identity, meaning, and values. This study aims to uncover the meaning and representation of identity in the public signs of Watugong Monastery by considering the cultural, religious, and social contexts in accordance with the dominant ideology in the place. This research is still very open for further research in various other aspects of LL, for example, visitors' perceptions of the language used at Watugong Monastery
