    Subject Specific Integrated Multisensory Stimulation Program A Ray of Hope to Facilitate Arousal Following Traumatic Brain Injury

    Objective: The objective of the study was to test a newly developed subject specific integrated multisensory stimulation program (SSIMS) on arousal of patients in coma following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Design: Parallel group pilot randomized controlled trial. Patients: Twenty patients in coma following TBI from a tertiary care hospital with Glasgow coma scale score ≤8 and hemodynamically stable participated in the study. Interventions: Conventional coma stimulation was administered to control group and SSIMS to the experimental group participants. Measurement and Main Results: Baseline assessment was done using Coma Recovery Scale Revised (CRS-R) and Sensory Stimulation Assessment Measure by a blinded outcome assessor. Reassessment was done on 7th day and 14th day post initiation of treatment in both groups. Patients in the experimental group showed better improvement on 7th day (P = 0.04) and on 14th day (P = 0.009) of intervention on arousal measured by CRS-R scores. Conclusion: SSIMS is a safe and feasible protocol to improve arousal in comatose patients post TBI, which could be a better choice for coma stimulation in routine clinical setups

    Aim: This study aims to explain all the events of skeletal muscle repair and regeneration with the help of suitable histophathlogical photomicrographs taken from crush-injured adult albino rat’s gluteus maximus muscle. Materials and Methods: The present study is part of our previous research study related to skeletal muscle repair and regeneration in crush injured gluteus maximus muscle of adult albino rats. The samples were processed for histopathological examination using routine and special histological staining procedures. The tissue samples were examined under trinocular microscope, and the fields showing interesting findings were recorded under different magnification. Results: In this study we observed all regenerative changes in myofibers and related structures after crushed injury. Conclusion: Histopathological studies with good stainings are helpful for the easy identification of minute changes that occurs in each stages of skeletal muscle regeneration

This article emphasize case study of Asthibhagna, treated with Ayurvedic principles in particular Shodhan Chikitsa,the therapy which expels out pathological Doshas from the body. Shodhan Chikitsa helps in eliminate the disease from its root level, that avoid its recurrence in future. Here is a case study of 52 year adult male patient visited in OPD of Shalya tantra presenting with complaints of Vam Hasta Shoola [Left hand pain]. Vam Hasta Alpa Shotha [Left hand mild swelling] and Sparshaasahatva [Local tenderness] since from 3 to 5 days. The patient was admitted and managed by Shodhana (Purification) along with Shamana (Pacification) Chikitsa. Kushabandha (Splint) was administered for immobilization for a duration of 60 days. Shital Kashaya aushadhis and Chakra Taila mainly for Parisheka (Irrigation). The results with marbles have been exquisite in this article

A 55-year-old male who had a mild traumatic head injury with a small hemorrhagic focus in the right parietal region of the brain detected with a CT scan was treated with homeopathic medicine, Arnica montana. Along with allopathic medicines, he was advised to take homeopathic medicine. In the next follow-up on repeating the CT scan, there was a disappearance of hemorrhagic foci.     Pharmacognostic, Phytochemical Investigations, and In Vitro Anti-arthritic Activity of Adiantum venustum D. Don

    The present investigation deals with pharmacognostical, physicochemical, phytochemical analysis, and in vitro anti-arthritic activity of ethanolic extracts of Adiantum venustum D. Don. The macroscopic and microscopic characters, physical constant values, extractive values, ash values, color analysis, and fluorescence analysis were performed. The stems were 13–14 cm in size while leaves were 3–5 mm. Stems were straight with nodes while leaves were triangular and fan shaped. Transverse section of aerial parts of A. venustum showed epidermis consists of closely packed cells with single layer. No intercellular space was found. Endodermis is indistinct. On microscopic examination, the powder showed wavy epidermis, parenchyma cells, Phloem, fiber, trichome, brownish matter, and crystals. Physical constants performed were loss on drying, ash content, acid insoluble ash, and water soluble ash. Extractive values in chloroform and alcohol were determined. Fluorescence studies of the powder were carried in UV, UVB, and day light with various solvents. Phytochemical screening of successive extracts showed positive reactions for steroids, flavonoids, carbohydrates, phenols, and tannins. In vitro anti-arthritic activity was performed by the inhibition of protein denaturation method. The ethanolic extracts of aerial parts exhibited remarkable anti-arthritic action. The protein denaturation was also found to be maximum at 75.293 ± 0.735 and 79.956 ± 0.9 % at a dose of 500 μg/mL by protein denaturation egg albumin and bovine serum albumin method, respectively

Hence, combined derivatives of 3-((1H-Benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methyl)-2-phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-one E(1-8) were prepared and tested for cytotoxicity on MCF-7 cell line.
