Pertumbuhan Selada (Lactuca sativa L.) pada Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair dari Buah Pepaya dan Komposisi Media Tanam yang Berbeda
Lettuce has a fairly large market opportunity, both to meet the needs of the domestic and international markets. High demand for both domestic and foreign markets makes this horticultural commodity have high economic value. The aim of this study was to determine the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) when given liquid organic fertilizer from papaya fruit and the composition of several types of planting media. This research was conducted from May to July 2022 in Batulotong Hamlet, Pucak Village, Tompobulu District, Maros Regency. This research method uses a factorial design with the RAK basic design consisting of two factors. The first factor in the form of giving liquid organic fertilizer from papaya fruit consists of four levels, namely: control, 100mL/liter, 150 mL/liter, 200mL/liter and the second factor is the comparison of planting media which consists of three levels, namely: soil, soil+compost, soil + compost + husk charcoal. The results showed that a dose of 150 mL of liquid organic fertilizer from papaya fruit had a significant effect on the growth of leaf length, leaf width and number of leaves. While the composition of the planting medium soil + compost + roasted husks and soil + compost had a very significant effect on the growth of leaf width and leaf length in lettuce plants. Examining the Reading Performance and Problems among Students in Indonesian Higher Education
The objectives of the study are to assess the students\u27 reading performance and explore their problems in comprehending English texts. To achieve these objectives, a descriptive research design was employed. The participants consisted of 76 English Department students from the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education at Universitas Sulawesi Barat, Majene, Indonesia. Two instruments were used in this study. First, a test was administered to measure students\u27 reading performance. Second, a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form was employed to gather students\u27 self-reported responses regarding their problems and difficulties in reading English texts. The findings revealed that the students\u27 mean score on the reading performance test was 47.24, indicating a relatively low reading performance among the students. Moreover, the questionnaire responses indicated that most students reported encountering problems and difficulties in comprehending English reading texts. Consequently, it can be inferred that students\u27 reading performance is adversely affected by these challenges. Based on the results, this study recommends the integration of learning media, technological tools, and effective reading strategies to address the identified problems and improve students\u27 reading skills. These practical recommendations aim to provide educators and researchers with actionable strategies to improve the reading proficiency of EFL students
The Effectiveness of Reading Aloud Application on the Ability to Read the QS. Al-Ma’un and Translations in English
This research was conducted to find out how effective the application of the reading-aloud method is on the ability to read the Q.S Al Ma\u27un and its translation in English. This study aims to determine whether the reading-aloud method affects students\u27 ability to read Q.S Al-Ma\u27un of the Quran and its English translation in the second semester of the Management Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu. This study employs a quasi-experimental methodology. The results showed that the experimental class\u27s post-test score was 69.1, with a standard deviation of 8.22, and the practical class\u27s pre-test score was 56.5, with a standard deviation of 8.53. The control class\u27s post-test score was 60.40, with a standard deviation 9.68. The outcomes of the two tests are dissimilar. Additionally, both classes’-test results are 0.00. This indicates that the hypothesis is correct and that the reading-aloud strategy can help students become more proficient readers
Language Constrain in Academic Writing in The Form of Thesis For Students of Letters Faculty of Universitas Muslim Indonesia Makassar
This research aims to describe the students’ dominant influence in writing their thesis and the factors they faced in writing their thesis. The method of the study was library research, which meant that the researcher only collected data from their thesis, which was under the researcher’s supervision, and students tested in the thesis examination. The population of this research was all language aspects in the language constraints in academic writing. Because the language aspects are too large, the researcher limited the sample using a purposive sample technique, such as diction, effective sentences (coherence and parallelism), conjunctions, punctuation, and paragraphs (open, main, and closed). Then, the techniques for collecting data were observation, noting, and documentation. Those data were taken from 21 students writing their thesis and tested in the thesis examination. The result of this research was the dominant students\u27 influence in writing their thesis was to compose effective sentences, chose exact words (diction), used conjunction, and made/built open and closed paragraphs. The factors that made it them were students\u27 less practiced writing, less reading, and only depending on their lectur
Pemahaman Konsep pada Materi Fungsi Eksponensial Ditinjau dari Gaya Belajar Siswa di SMA
Salah satu pemahaman konsep adalah pada materi fungsi eksponensial. Pemahaman terhadap suatu konsep diperoleh dari proses belajar, di dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar setiap siswa memiliki karakteristik gaya belajar yang berbeda. Pemahaman konsep dapat ditingkatkan apabila siswa maupun guru mengenali gaya belajar yang digunakan masing-masing siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep pada materi fungsi eksponensial ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa. Metode dari penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari angket gaya belajar, tes pemahaman konsep, dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah sembilan orang siswa kelas X SMA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan gaya belajar auditori dan kinestetik memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep lebih baik dibanding subjek dengan gaya belajar visual. Subjek dengan gaya belajar visual mampu memenuhi dua indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu indikator 1 dan 2, subjek dengan gaya belajar auditorial mampu memenuhi tiga indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu indikator 1, 2, dan 3, subjek dengan gaya belajar kinestetik mampu memenuhi tiga indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu indikator 1, 2, dan 4
The Using of English Animation Movie to Improve Students’ Listening Achievement in the New Normal Era
This study aimed at proving whether or not English animation movies could improve students’ listening achievement in SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo. According to the findings of the pra-cycle of observations, Bahasa students of SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo had problems assimilating the lesson materials. It was caused by the students\u27 lack of vocabulary and they did not understand what native speakers said. In obtaining the data, there were 35 students contained 9 males and 26 females in Bahasa Class at SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo. This study used classroom action research. The data in this study were observation, test, and questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative. There were three steps such as pra-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II for collecting the data. The result showed the use of animated movies as media had greatly improved students\u27 listening skills. It was found by comparing the result of pre-test, post-test I, and post-test II. Based on the data obtained, the researcher concluded that students’ listening achievement improved after using English animation movie. Students who reached the minimum score criteria were 3% for pre-test, 46% for post-test I, and 77% for post-test II
The PENGARUH MODEL REQOL (REAL QUEST OUTDOOR LEARNING) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA SISWA SMA
The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of the ReQOL model on high school students\u27 critical thinking and cognitive learning outcomes. This experimental research method uses pre-test and post-test questions to collect quantitative data from the results of students\u27 critical thinking assessments. All of the pupils in the XIPA class at SMA Negeri 1 Natar made up the study\u27s population. Purposive sampling is used to choose the research sample. Class X IPA III served as the control class in this study, and class X IPA VIII served as the experimental class. Test questions and observation logs were used to obtain the data. Utilizing independent sample T tests and effect size. According to the findings, there was a difference between students who used the ReQOL learning model and those who used Direct Instruction when learning about harmonic vibrations. This difference was based on the significance values of the test Smirnov, which were 0.076 for the pre-test and 0.167 for the post-test in the experimental class. The level of significance of the data is revealed to be 0.000 < 0.05 based on test results from an independent sample T test, indicating that the ReQOL model has a significant impact on improving high school students\u27 critical thinking abilities and academic performance. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes following the ReQOL learning model in class X IPA physics at SMA Negeri 1 Natar.
 
TINGKAT KELIMPAHAN DAN KEANEKARAGAMAN MOLLUSCA DI KAWASAN HUTAN MANGROVE PESISIR TABONGO KABUPATEN BOALEMO
Ekosistem mangrove mempunyai peran dan fungsi tertentu sebagai suatu ekosistem yang banyak dihidupi oleh fauna yang saling berasosiasi dengan ekosistem mangrove itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan fauna akuatik jenis mollusca. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survey, dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. jenis mollusca yang ditemukan pada kawasan mangrove pesisir Langala yaitu terdiri dari delapan yang terbagi atas tujuh family dan tujuh genus yang terdiri dari delapan spesies yaitu, Hexaplex trunculus, Nerita artikulata, Terebralia sulcata, Terebralia palustris, Faunus ater, Elliptio complanata, Cerastoderma edule dan Anadara antiquate. Hasil perhitungan keanekaragaman fauna akuatik untuk jenis Mollusca nilai indeks keanekaragaman tertinggi pada stasiun I yaitu H’= 1,94, yang mendominasi pada jenis Mollusca ini adalah Faunus ater. Indeks kelimpahan tertinggi untuk jenis Mollusca yang tertinggi terdapat pada spesies Anadara antiquate dengan nilai kelimpahan 34,54% dan spesies yang terendah adalah Nerita artikulata nilai indeks kelimpahan 16,18%. Jenis Mollusca yang sudah berada dalam status konservasi yaitu Nerita artikulata, Faunus ater, Elliptio complanata dengan status konservasi Least Concern
Analisis Kinerja Keuangan UMKM Frozen Food Sebelum dan Sesudah Mendapatkan Pinjaman dari KSP Mitra Dhuafa
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja keuangan jangka pendek UMKM Frozen Food sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pinjaman dari KSP Mitra Dhuafa yang terletak di Kabupaten Pangkep. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan data kuantitatif yang berasal dari data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan. Analisis data dengan menggunakan rasio keuangan yaitu rasio likuiditas (current ratio dan quick ratio), rasio solvabilitias (debt to asset rasio dan debt to equity rasio), rasio profitabilitas (NPM, ROA dan ROE), dan rasio aktivitas (perputaran piutang dan perputaran persediaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang mencolok antara sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pinjaman berdasarkan analisis rasio likuiditas, solvabilitas, profitabilitas dan aktivitas. Dari ratio likuiditas setelah mendapatkan pinjaman, UMKM Frozen Food memiliki jumlah utang yang terus bertambah hingga tahun 2021. Dari rasio solvabilitas, sebenarnya meskipun tanpa modal atau pinjaman, UMKM Frozen Food tetap bertahan dengan jumlah aset dan kas serta persediaan yang ada di tahun 2021. Kinerja Keuangan jangka pendek dilihat dari rasio aktivitas, bahwa UMKM Frozen Food mampu mengelola piutang serta persediaannya dengan baik. Meskipun pinjaman modal dari KSP Mitra Dhuafa memberi nilai tambah pada modal UMKM Frozen Food yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pembayaran atas kewajibanya, tetapi pada dasarnya UMKM Frozen Food masih mampu mengelola kas dan modal sendiri tanpa adanya pinjaman modal dari KSP Mitra Dhuafa. 
Pengembangan Instrumen Soal Tipe Open-Ended Pada Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar untuk Menganalisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMP
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal bertipe open ended pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP. Dasar pengembangan ini yaitu pentingnya pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP sehingga guru dapat menentukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa. Pemberian soal open ended bermanfaat dalam memberikan pengalaman kepada siswa maupun guru dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan berbagai tipe. Pengembangan dilakukan sampai soal dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 5 langkah yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan data instrumen, perencanaan waktu penelitian, pengembangan produk awal, validasi serta uji coba kelayakan. Data diperoleh dari siswa kelas VIII. Kevalidan soal tes menunjukkan kategori valid dengan rata-rata sebesar 82,2. Keefektifan instrumen soal menunjukkan kategori efektif dengan rata-rata sebesar 78,5. Kepraktisan soal tes angket respons siswa menunjukkan kategori praktis dengan rata-rata sebesar 79,8. Kemudian dari hasil data di atas, disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan soal open ended pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar di SMP valid, efektif dan prakti
