Integrating Insights from Control Theory and Social Cognition: a Computational Simulation of Moral Self-Regulatory Restoration
This study proposes an integration of Control Theory and Social Cognitive Theory by developing a computational model of moral self-regulation. Moral self-regulatory restoration is shaped, among others, by the interaction of personal standards, beliefs, and cognitive distortions; the proposed model simulates the dynamic, time-domain process by which an individual agent attempts to realign their perceived moral state with their moral standard after a transgression. Reflective moral self-efficacy is operationalized as a system gain that determines the speed of corrective responses to perceived discrepancies, while moral disengagement is operationalized as a perceptual bias that shifts the effective moral standard around which the system regulates. By modeling these interactions through an R simulation, the present work illustrates that Control Theory and Social Cognitive Theory provide complementary accounts of moral self-regulation, with Control Theory supplying the formal dynamic architecture and Social Cognitive Theory supplying the content of the key psychological constructs. The results demonstrate that the act of computationally formalizing psychological constructs forces researchers to specify the exact dynamic role of each construct, revealing possible theoretical ambiguities or similarities that would otherwise remain hidden. This approach facilitates the identification of discrepancies and overlaps among theories and supports the generation of testable, quantitative hypotheses for empirical investigation

Optimization in Health Theory
Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2022. Optimization in Health Theory. Morelia Monarcas Publicaciones Internacionales, Edición Especial 2022. https://doi.org/10.17605/osf.io/wybnt
Optimization in Health Theory, introduced by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad in 2022, aims to understand how health optimization practices can enhance the well-being of individuals and society as a whole. In the context of rapid global changes and complex health challenges, this theory offers a framework to achieve optimal health conditions through structured and holistic approaches.
The theory defines health optimization as a continuous process to achieve and maintain the best health conditions through appropriate and adaptive interventions. The core concept is that optimal health involves not only the prevention and treatment of diseases but also the promotion of healthy lifestyles and effective stress management. The theory emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach that includes physical, mental, and social aspects of health.
This theory is based on the phenomenon that many individuals often do not achieve optimal health due to various factors such as lack of knowledge, motivation, and access to health resources. For example, despite the widely known benefits of a balanced diet and regular exercise, many people still experience lifestyle-related health problems. This phenomenon indicates that a more coordinated and proactive approach is needed to support individuals in achieving optimal health.
The working principles of Optimization in Health Theory involve several key steps. First, it is important to conduct an initial assessment to identify the health conditions and needs of individuals. Second, develop an integrated health plan that includes nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and regular health check-ups. Third, implement appropriate interventions and provide ongoing support to ensure the achievement and maintenance of optimal health. The theory also emphasizes the importance of continuous evaluation and adjustment of plans based on feedback and results.
Key indicators of this theory include improvements in physical health parameters such as weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, as well as improvements in mental well-being such as reduced stress and anxiety levels. Other indicators include increased quality of life, adherence to health plans, and reduced frequency of illnesses. Communication Safety Theory
Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2022. Communication Safety Theory. Mazatlán Faro Publicaciones Internacionales, Edición Especial 2022. https://doi.org/10.17605/osf.io/y5248
Introduced by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad in 2022, Communication Safety Theory arises from the need to understand the importance of feeling safe in the communication process. In various contexts, individuals often feel pressured or afraid to speak openly due to fear of negative repercussions. This theory was developed to address this issue and create an environment where all parties feel safe to communicate honestly and effectively.
Communication Safety Theory defines communication safety as a condition where individuals feel free from threats or fear while communicating. The core concept of this theory is that safe communication enables more effective exchange of ideas and information because all parties feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. The theory emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive, open, and intimidation-free communication environment.
The theory is based on the phenomenon that fear or insecurity can hinder effective communication. For example, in a toxic work environment, employees might hesitate to speak openly about issues or ideas due to fear of repercussions. This phenomenon highlights the necessity of creating a safe communication environment to ensure all voices are heard and valued. By addressing emotional and psychological barriers, individuals can communicate more effectively and productively.
The working principles of Communication Safety Theory involve several key steps. First, it is crucial to identify and eliminate factors that create insecurity in communication. Second, building trust through transparency and openness in interactions is essential. Third, providing emotional and psychological support ensures that all parties feel valued and heard. The theory also emphasizes the importance of positive feedback and affirmation to encourage active and open participation.
Key indicators of this theory include the level of comfort and safety individuals feel while communicating, the frequency and quality of participation in discussions, and the effectiveness of communication in achieving desired goals.
