Interventions to Manage Stress Among Healthcare Professionals: A Systematic Review
Occupational stress negatively affects the mental health of healthcare professionals and may compromise their occupational performance and quality of care. Existing stress management programs include individual- and organizational-level interventions, however, the evidence regarding their effectiveness remains dispersed. This systematic review aims to analyse and synthesise the scientific evidence on stress management programs implemented among healthcare professionals, focusing on their effectiveness and on the characteristics of these interventions, including format, duration, components, and technologies, in order to support their future implementation. The review will include healthcare professionals with higher education working in healthcare institutions and studies evaluating structured stress management programs, regardless of intervention type or delivery format, provided that effectiveness outcomes are reported. This systematic review will be conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Peer-reviewed studies published between 2021 and 2025 in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, or French will be searched in the EBSCOhost, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. Study selection, data extraction, and synthesis will be performed by independent reviewers, and results will be presented in structured evidence tables
Consensus in social judgments of faces across world regions is driven by effects of distinctiveness on perceptions of prosociality, rather than effects of masculinity
Social judgments of faces influence important social outcomes. Although many researchers have argued that facial masculinity plays a key role in perceptions of prosociality and dominance, whether these effects are consistent among people from different world regions is highly contentious. Consequently, we investigated possible relationships between masculinity and face ratings made by 11,484 participants from eleven world regions (Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Central America and Mexico, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Scandinavia, South America, United Kingdom, United States and Canada, Western Europe). Surprisingly, masculinity did not significantly predict perceived prosociality or dominance in any regions. By contrast, facial distinctiveness (i.e., atypicality) was significantly and negatively correlated with prosocial perceptions in all regions. Collectively, our results suggest that consensus in social judgments of faces among people from different world regions is driven by the effects of distinctiveness on prosocial perceptions (i.e., an “anomalous-is-bad” stereotype), rather than the effects of masculinity.

The relationship between social media use, news media use, literacy, interaction on social media on the one hand and affective polarization on the other.
This exploratory research examines how various variables of social media behavior, that is, social and news media use, social media and news media literacy, and interaction characteristics on social media, are associated with affective polarization among social media users in Indonesia
The subjective experience of transcranial electrical stimulation: Direct comparison of tolerability and side effects between tDCS, tACS and otDCS
This study provides a systematic and comprehensive comparison of the subjective experiences, including procedure-induced discomfort and potential side effects, associated with three types of tES: anodal tDCS, tACS and oscillatory tDCS. By evaluating these effects within the same group of participants, we sought to address the variability in subjective experiences across different tES techniques and overcome individual differences that often confound cross-study and between-groups comparison
Text as Data for Crisis-Early Warning: A Comparative Assessment of NLP Methods for Conflict Prediction
Natural language processing (NLP) tools have been applied successfully in improving predictions in a wide range of research areas. However, what works in one area may not work in conflict research. We therefore seek to offer an initial assessment of the most prominent NLP methods for conflict prediction tasks. We evaluate the performance of features extracted from a conflict dictionary, two sentiment dictionaries, a word-scaling approach, dynamic topic models, and a transformer model on a classical conflict prediction task. The results highlight the importance of considering different NLP approaches, depending on the availability of text sources and other predictor variables

The Corporate Bullshit Receptivity Scale: Development, validation, and associations with workplace outcomes
From boardrooms and brown bags, to emails and earnings calls, business culture often seems overrun by “corporate bullshit,” a type of semantically empty or otherwise vague rhetoric that leverages abstruse corporate buzzwords and jargon in a way that misrepresents or obscures some aspect of organizational reality. Though corporate bullshit may sometimes seem harmless, it can disrupt organizational and employee effectiveness in numerous ways including obstructing effective communication, increasing employee disengagement, tarnishing company reputation, and exposing businesses to legitimate financial and legal risks. Here, results from three studies (N = 745) report the construction and validation of the Corporate Bullshit Receptivity Scale (CBSR), a novel measure of individual differences in receptivity to corporate bullshit. Results show that corporate bullshit receptivity is distinct from a general affinity for corporate speech. Moreover, it is significantly associated with measures of analytic thinking and other bullshit-related constructs in theoretically-consistent ways. Importantly, corporate bullshit receptivity is strongly associated with several measures of organizational culture and job performance and is a strong, robust predictor of work-related decision-making. Overall, the findings establish the CBSR as a valid and reliable tool to aid researchers in examining the causes, correlates, and consequences of bullshit in the workplace
EVOLUTION OF BUYER BEHAVIOR: THE SHIFT FROM PASSIVE CONSUMERS TO ACTIVE MARKETING PARTICIPANTS
The book outlines how buyers have evolved from passive consumers in traditional markets to active participants in the digital marketplace. Initially, buyers interacted directly with sellers in physical shops, relying on face-to-face interactions and limited information. As mass media like radio, television, and newspapers emerged, buyers began to be influenced by advertisements, although the communication remained one-way. The advent of the internet marked a pivotal change, allowing buyers to access product information, read reviews, and compare prices online. E-commerce platforms enabled shopping from home, though interactions with sellers were still minimal. The rise of social media and smartphones further revolutionized buyer behavior, enabling interactions with brands through social platforms, recommendations from friends and influencers, and mobile shopping experiences. In the current era, buyers are well-informed, using online data and reviews to make educated decisions. They expect personalized experiences and responsive service from sellers, conducting thorough research before purchasing. AI and deep personalization technologies now play a crucial role, providing tailored product recommendations and virtual assistants to enhance the shopping experience. Modern buyers have also taken on additional roles such as content creators, producing reviews and tutorials that influence others' purchasing decisions. They engage in affiliate marketing, promoting products for commissions, and participate in dropshipping, acting as sellers without holding inventory. Brand ambassadors and viral video makers further contribute to marketing efforts, enhancing brand visibility and credibility. This evolution in buyer behavior has profound impacts on industries and society, driving increased consumer expectations for personalized services and faster responses. Businesses have adapted to be more flexible and transparent, improving buyer loyalty and customer retention. The book highlights that understanding and adapting to these changes is crucial for sellers to remain competitive in a dynamic business environment. By providing insights into the stages of buyer behavior evolution and the active roles modern buyers play, "The Evolution of Buyer Behavior" serves as a comprehensive guide for businesses to navigate the complexities of the digital marketplace and leverage the power of informed and engaged consumers
Archipelago Arts: Cultivating Tourism through Indonesian Creativity.
Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2024. Archipelago Arts: Cultivating Tourism through Indonesian Creativity. Nashr Sharjah Al-Dawliya Lil Kutub Al-Taba'ah Al-Khasah 2024, الشارقة القاسمي لنشر الكتب، الطبعة الخاصة ٢٠٢٤.
Archipelago Arts: Cultivating Tourism through Indonesian Creativity by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad, published in 2024 by Nashr Sharjah Al-Dawliya Lil Kutub Al-Taba'ah Al-Khasah, explores the intricate relationship between Indonesian arts and tourism. This publication serves as a comprehensive exploration aimed at enhancing the understanding and promotion of Indonesian creativity as a pivotal force in boosting tourism.
The book is grounded in the recognition of Indonesia’s vast cultural heritage and its untapped potential in the global tourism market. The background to this study emphasizes the rich diversity of Indonesian art forms, from traditional dances and music to modern visual arts, and how these can be integrated into tourism strategies to attract international visitors.
In terms of definitions and basic concepts, the book introduces the idea of "cultural tourism" where the primary attractions are the cultural aspects of a destination, including its arts and crafts, culinary experiences, historical sites, and living culture. It further explores the concept of "creative tourism," which encourages visitors to actively engage in creative activities as part of their travel experience.
The phenomenon underlying the book is the rising global interest in experiential and sustainable travel. Tourists are increasingly seeking authentic experiences that allow them to learn about and participate in local cultures, which presents a significant opportunity for Indonesia.
The problem formulation revolves around the underutilization of Indonesian arts in the tourism sector. Despite its potential to create unique, immersive experiences that could differentiate Indonesia from other destinations, there has been insufficient integration of arts into mainstream tourism development.
The objectives of the research outlined in the book are to identify ways to effectively incorporate Indonesian arts into tourism strategies, to enhance visitor engagement, and to promote sustainable economic growth through increased tourist spending and job creation in artistic sectors.
Indicators discussed in the book include the level of tourist satisfaction with cultural experiences, the economic impact of cultural tourism, and the extent of local community involvement in and benefit from tourism.
Operational variables are defined to measure these indicators, such as the number of cultural events available to tourists, tourist attendance at these events, and the percentage of tourism revenue attributed to cultural activities.
Key factors influencing the theory include government policy supporting cultural preservation, infrastructure development that facilitates access to cultural sites, and marketing strategies that effectively communicate the value of cultural experiences to potential tourists.
Implementation and strategies focus on developing partnerships between government bodies, local artists, and tourism operators to create integrated cultural tourism packages. Training for artists to enhance their ability to engage with tourists, and investment in cultural infrastructure, such as galleries and performance spaces, are also emphasized.
Challenges to implementation include the need for continuous funding, the risk of cultural commodification, and potential resistance from local communities concerned about the impact of tourism on their way of life. Supporting factors include growing global interest in cultural authenticity and the increasing willingness of tourists to pay for enriched, personalized experiences.
The book concludes that effectively integrating Indonesian arts into tourism can significantly enhance the appeal of Indonesia as a travel destination, leading to increased tourist arrivals and greater economic benefits. However, it stresses the importance of doing so in a manner that respects and preserves the integrity of local cultures. Recommendations include adopting a participatory approach in tourism development, where local communities are actively involved in shaping tourism practices that impact their cultural heritage.
This detailed examination provides valuable insights into how Indonesian arts can be leveraged to foster a thriving tourism sector that benefits both visitors and local populations
Heritage Halal: Reimagining Urban Tourism in Indonesia.
Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2024. Heritage Halal: Reimagining Urban Tourism in Indonesia. Nashr Riyadh Al-Alamiya Lil Kutub Al-Taba'ah Al-Khasah, الرياض نجد لنشر الكتب، الطبعة الخاصة ٢٠٢٤.
"Heritage Halal: Reimagining Urban Tourism in Indonesia" by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad, published in 2024 by Nashr Riyadh Al-Alamiya Lil Kutub Al-Taba'ah Al-Khasah, offers a visionary approach to intertwining halal tourism principles with the urban heritage of Indonesia’s cities. This book provides a roadmap for how Indonesian cities can leverage their rich historical and cultural assets under the framework of halal tourism to create more inclusive, attractive, and sustainable urban tourism environments.
Background Indonesia, with its vast and varied cultural heritage and significant Muslim population, is uniquely positioned to innovate in the field of halal tourism. The book addresses the context of rapidly growing halal tourism markets globally and the need for urban centers in Indonesia to adapt and tap into this lucrative sector. It emphasizes the importance of preserving and promoting urban cultural heritage within these adaptations, ensuring that development respects and celebrates local traditions.
Basic Definitions and Concepts Halal tourism is defined not only by adherence to Islamic principles such as offering halal food and prayer facilities but also by ensuring that tourism activities support family-friendly environments and respect for local customs and heritage. The book expands this concept to include urban heritage conservation, advocating for a holistic approach that merges religious compliance with cultural sustainability.
Underlying Phenomenon The global increase in Muslim travelers seeking destinations that cater to their religious needs without compromising on cultural and leisure experiences drives the narrative. The book captures this global trend and positions Indonesia at the forefront of innovating urban halal tourism that also serves as a cultural showcase.
Problem Formulation The main challenge explored is how Indonesian urban centers can integrate halal tourism without commodifying or overshadowing their intrinsic cultural values. It addresses the balance needed between modern tourism demands and the preservation and celebration of historical and cultural integrity.
Research Objectives The aim is to redefine urban tourism in Indonesia by integrating halal principles in a way that enhances rather than dilutes the urban heritage experience. This involves developing tourism products and services that are both culturally respectful and religiously appropriate.
Indicators Measures of success include increased engagement of Muslim tourists, enhanced preservation of cultural sites, and economic benefits to local communities through increased spending in halal-compliant and culturally focused tourism.
Operational Variables These include the number of halal-certified businesses in historical areas, the extent of training programs for tourism operators on halal standards, and the involvement of local communities in developing tourism initiatives.
Key Factors Effective government policy, community and stakeholder collaboration, and innovative marketing strategies that highlight the unique blend of heritage and halal services are pivotal. These factors ensure that tourism development is both profitable and culturally enriching.
Implementation Strategies Strategies involve creating integrated cultural and halal tourism trails, using technology to enhance visitor experiences (such as through augmented reality tours of historic sites), and developing partnerships between municipalities, tourism boards, and local cultural organizations.
Challenges and Supports Challenges include potential resistance from sectors of the community not familiar with or supportive of halal standards, and the infrastructural adjustments needed in historic urban centers. Supportive elements include the growing global market for halal tourism and increasing governmental support for sustainable and culturally sensitive tourism projects.
Research Findings Findings indicate that cities that effectively integrate halal tourism with heritage conservation not only boost their tourism sectors but also strengthen their cultural identity and social cohesion.
Conclusions and Recommendations The book concludes that halal tourism, when thoughtfully implemented in urban settings, can lead to revitalized local economies and enhanced cultural pride. It recommends that urban planners and tourism professionals continuously seek innovative ways to harmonize religious requirements with cultural offerings.
"Heritage Halal" is positioned as an essential guide for those looking to explore or expand halal tourism in urban landscapes, providing a thoughtful and practical approach to revitalizing both tourism and cultural heritage in Indonesia’s cities
