    Tolerance in Islam Historical Perspective of Khulafaur Rasyidin's Period and Its Contribution to Islamic Education

    The phenomena of plurality, multicultural and diversity become sunnatullah in social life. This implies the need for the concept of justice ('adalah), egalitarian (musaawah), tolerant (tasamuh) both related to differences in race, ethnicity, and religion. Today, the stigma of intolerance towards Islam with the emergence of violence and “fanaticism” and destructiveness has caused Islam to adopt the status quo. On the one hand, Islam is faced with the problem of liberalism, on the other hand, Islam is cornered with radicalism. This is in stark contrast to the fact that Islam is a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin and a blessing for the universe. Such a reality becomes the background for how the samahah policies were implemented after the death of the apostle, especially during the khulafa 'rashidun period. This research is a library research which aims to describe how policy and implementation are related to the tolerance of the khulafa 'rashidun period. The results showed that: First, as a caliph who has a function as head of state and religion, the form of tolerance is based on Islamic principles with the principles of musawah and 'adalah. Second, in certain matters, the form of tolerance carried out by the caliphs far exceeded the policies applied in the Islamic domain, such as the policies carried out by Umar with the land reform system policy to the Qibti Christian community. Third, as an individual, the caliph's values ​​are manifested in an attitude of tolerance by applying moral principles. These three things provide a conceptual framework for Islamic education that both normatively and historically, tolerance must be implemented proportionally based on Islamic values

    Pendidikan Islam dapat lebih berkembang salah satunya melalui implementasi pemanfaatan budaya lokal yang sudah menjadi pranata budaya masyarakat setempat salah satunya tradisi betawar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang Tradisi Betawar pada Masyarakat Melayu Sambas, (2) mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam dalam Tradisi Betawar Masyarakat Melayu Sambas . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Setting penelitian dipusatkan di dusun Kolam desa Semelagi Besar kec. Selakau kab.Sambas dengan 3 narasumber utama (primer) 5 sumber pendukung (sekunder) sebagai data dan sumber data. Teknik dan alat pengumpul data menggunakan sesuai dengan jenis penelitian menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis sebelum disajikan dan ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tradisi Betawar pada Masyarakat Melayu Sambas masih ada dengan menggunakan proses tertentu yang sangat melekat dengan adat kebiasaan yang tidak bertentangan dengan syariat Islam. (2) Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam dalam Tradisi Betawar Masyarakat Melayu Sambas tergambar dari keteladanan petawar, bacaan tawar sebagai sumber keilmuan, media tawar sebagai symbol cinta lingkungan, pantangan sebagai bentuk ketaatan dan jasa betawar berupa pekaras atau tampas sebagai lambang tolong-menolong.Implikasi hasil temuan penelitian ini menghidupkan kembali tradisi betawar sebagai budaya lokal yang memiliki nilai-nilai terutama pendidikan Islam yang memberikan pengaruh terhadap sikap dan perilaku keagamaan Masyarakat Melayu Sambas, dimasukkan dalam pendataan daerah terutama desa, diberikan bimbingan, arahan dan penyuluhan dari badan atau lembaga yang kompeten untuk meningkatkan kualitas, serta insentif yang memadai sebagai reward kerja sosial kepada petawa

    The development of mosques in the current era has economic potential if the management of infaq funds, alms funds, waqf funds from muzakki must be carried out by professional mosque administrators and have strategies in raising funds to be used as economic empowerment of Muslims in particular. The funds owned by the mosque are then used as business capital so as to form a Mosque-Owned Enterprise (BUMM) At Taqwa for productive businesses as well as for the welfare of the mosque itself and the community so that the formulation of the research problem is how to explore the potential that exists in the mosque so that the mosque and the congregation will develop in the economic field. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sources of data in this study include primary sources, namely interviews with mosque administrators, mosque youth, and worshipers. and secondary sources in the form of documentation related to mosque activities. The results in this study indicate that the At Taqwa mosque in Tanjungsari Village, Wanasari District, has an independent economic source from the results of funds and waqf of worshipers and muzakki so that it is managed by building a mosque-owned business entity (BUMM), namely cooperatives, renting tarubs, waqf of rice fields, and once a year open a gebyar ramadah or ramadhan market in the courtyard of the mosque this business has been running since 2017 and is supported by many productive waqf assets supported by very good, professional, and transparent management. It is proven that many activities have been carried out and have had a good effect on the congregation, and can improve economic welfare in Tanjungsari Village

    Para cendekiawan telah mengkaji pemikiran Burhanuddin Al-Zarnuji dan menemukan konsep etika dan moral yang dimiliki oleh murid dalam menuntut ilmu, namun hingga saat ini, belum ditemukan konsep sikap murid dalam menuntut ilmu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa menurut pemikiran Burhanuddin Al-Zarnuji dan analisis pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Data primer diambil dari buku Ta'lim Muta'allim, dan data sekunder dari literatur dan artikel dari jurnal pendidikan Islam. Data dianalisis melalui proses pengumpulan, pemilihan, penelaahan, dan pengklasifikasian bahan bacaan. Terdapat persamaan antara pemikiran Burhanuddin Al-Zarnuji dengan analisis pendidikan Islam yakni sebagai penuntut ilmu, para murid didorong untuk memiliki beberapa sikap, antara lain; (1) menghormati guru, (2) menghargai ilmu, (3) tawadhu, (4) wara, dan (5) tawakkal. Pendidikan Islam menekankan pada sikap ideal yang harus dimiliki siswa, antara lain; (1) menaati guru, (2) menaati orang tua, (3) rendah hati, (4) menjaga diri, (5) pasrah. Implikasi pendidikan mengenai sikap siswa hendaknya dijadikan acuan sikap ideal oleh setiap siswa dalam pembelajaran di semua jenjang pendidikan formal dan nonformal untuk mengurangi perilaku menyimpang dalam dunia pendidikan secara nasional

    Madrasah is one of the educational institutions in Indonesia that played the role and responsibility in increasing the literacy of Indonesia's students. In Indonesia itself, the reading interest still needs more attention since it is still fragile.  Expanding the reading interest for students in madrasah requires the proper strategies for effective results. MA Darut Taqwa is one of the madrasahs that commit to cultivating literacy among the students. The literacy program succeeded in increasing students' interest in reading and writing. Since that, the program has become the brand image of the madrasah itself. This study aims to describe the literacy for madrasah branding strategy implemented by MA Darut Taqwa to increase students' reading and writing skills. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to explain the branding strategy based on literacy in MA Darut Taqwa. The data validation technique used in this research is a triangulation of sources and methods. The research data was obtained through observations and interviews with the Head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Curriculum and the Chair of the Literacy Drive Team as parties who have a significant role in realising the literacy madrasa branding. Many programs implemented by the madrasah to increasing students' reading and writing skills, such as writing classes, authorship workshops, comparative literacy studies and familiarising students with reading and writing for 30 minutes. The result of this strategy are students able to produce 15 books qualified by ISBN and make literacy a brand image that enhances the competitiveness of madrasah

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang implementasi nilai-nilai agama islam pada remaja di Kelurahan Tanah Enam Ratus Kecamatan Medan Marelan Tujuan penelitian ini adalah. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana orang tua menanamkan nilai-nilai agama Islam pada remaja. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun sumber utama dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua, tokoh agama, dan tokoh masyarakat di Kelurahan Tanah Enam Ratus Kecamatan Medan Marelan. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi penyajian data, reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa strategi orangtua dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai agama Islam di Kelurahan Tanah Enam Ratus Kecamatan Medan Marelan sangat beragam. Mulai dari sebatas mendidik anak supaya pintar, ada yang sangat tegas dalam mendidik anaknya dan ada juga yang kurang memperhatikan pendidikan agama anak. Kenyataannya masih banyak orangtua yang tidak peduli dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai agama Islam sehingga ketika anak tersebut beranjak remaja, sering melakukan perilaku-perilaku menyimpang

    The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the paradigm and method of learning in Indonesia, including programs for developing religious attitudes. Activities that usually take place face-to-face must change direction to be online-based. This new method is not easy to implement because it requires adaptation from all parties with this distance learning system. School innovation and development are needed so that children continue to show good religious attitudes during this pandemic. The purpose of this research is to find the right way to instil the spiritual attitude of students during the pandemic. The scope of this research is the attitude of religiosity among students during the Covid-19 outbreak. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative research method with observation-based data collection techniques. The research results show that the development of religious attitudes among students of SMP Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic was running quite effectively with an indication that 80% of students could pray and recite the prayer readings according to HPT Muhammadiyah well. Recommendations for further research are to focus on the use of technology in learning to help realize students' religious attitudes in schools

    This study aims to analyze the factors that influence financial literacy; gender, parents' income, parents' educational background, vocational school majors, and desire to continue the study. The data uses primary data with a quantitative method in which data is taken from questionnaires. The data analysis uses descriptive analysis from the data processing using Binary Logistic Regression with SPSS application software. The result reveals that gender has a significant influence on the understanding of Generation Z on financial literacy for students in Kahayan Hilir 1 Vocational School, while parents' income, parents' educational background, vocational school (SMK) majors, and desire to continue study do not have a significant influence to the understanding of Generation Z on financial literacy for students in Kahayan Hilir 1 Vocational Schoo

    The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge to the Indonesian education world to strengthen the nation's character education, especially Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers (AIK), which will provide opportunities for students to practice character values ​​in society. Research using qualitative. Data collection came from observations, accompanied by notes about the state or behavior of the target object, comments, interviews were shown to the principal and AIK teachers as many as three people, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results of research on the role of teachers in shaping student character during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely teachers must understand their duties and functions, adhere to SOP procedures, use online and blended learning methods, collaborate with parents based on SOPs in the use of social media and distribute character control sheets to students and parents. The obstacles are applying health protocols, limited time duration, internet access, internet support, mastery of technology owned by teachers and parents and students, media abuse among students, and lack of parental monitoring due to parents' busy earning a living.
