Pentingnya Kompetensi Literasi Digital untuk Mendorong Motivasi Belajar (A Literature Study)
Saat ini, perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi menjadi hal yang tak bisa dipisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Berbagai macam teknologi berkembang dan dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia, terutama dalam belajar. Untuk memudahkan dalam pemanfaatannya, maka diperlukan pemahaman yang baik mengenai penggunaan teknologi tersebut. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan ialah melalui peningkatan pemahaman literasi digital. Literasi digital merupakan sebuah konsep tentang memahami, menggunakan dan mengevaluasi teknologi (terkhususnya digital) dalam menyaring, mendapatkan, dan menyebarkan berbagai informasi dan pengetahuan dari sumber internet. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi literatur tentang pentingnya kompetensi literasi digital untuk mendorong pengajaran bahasa Inggris. Data didapatkan melalui berbagai sumber seperti artikel, buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan literasi digital dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, bahwa literasi digital merupakan sebuah cara yang baik untuk mendukung pemahaman dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam memgembangkan kemampuan dan pemanfaatannya dalam belajar-mengajar
Pendekatan Repetitif melalui Hafalan Kitab Muḥāwarah untuk Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Diri Berbicara Bahasa Arab
In this era of globalization and increasing access to information, Arabic has become not only an essential medium for religious expression but also a bridge for intercultural communication. However, field observations reveal that many students still struggle with hesitation and anxiety when speaking, largely due to a lack of supportive linguistic environments and the pressure to achieve linguistic perfection. This situation raises a critical question regarding the effectiveness of current teaching methods and calls for innovative approaches that prioritize psycholinguistic factors. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a repetitive approach through the memorization of the Muḥāwarah Book in enhancing the speaking confidence of students in Arabic. Speaking skills (maharah kalām) often pose a major challenge for learners, primarily due to doubt, anxiety, and limited language environments. Through systematic repetition of dialogues, students are expected to internalize sentence patterns automatically while cultivating a sense of security in communication. This qualitative descriptive study was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah, Bangil, involving 120 new students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that the structured repetition of muḥāwarah dialogues significantly improves oral participation, reduces anxiety, and strengthens students’ psychological readiness to speak. Repetitive memorization also produces a snowball effect by enhancing spontaneity, vocabulary acquisition, and fluency. This study underscores that learning Arabic requires not only linguistic strategies but also psycholinguistic approaches that build learners’ confidence
The Lifelong Learning Scale Through an Indonesian Lens: An Adaptation and Validation Study
This study aims to adapt and validate the Wielkiewicz’s Lifelong Learning Scale (LLS) to ensure its suitability for measuring lifelong learning tendencies among university students in Indonesia. The participants in this study consisted of 808 university students. The adaptation process followed the cultural adaptation guidelines proposed by Beaton et al. (2000), which included forward translation, synthesis, backward translation, expert committee, and test of the pre-final version. Data analysis involved content validity assessment, item discrimination analysis, reliability testing, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results indicated that Aiken's V values ranged from 0.80 to 0.93, item discrimination indices varied between 0.314 and 0.652, and reliability was α = 0.866. The confirmatory factor analysis yielded χ² = 319, RMSEA = 0.056, SRMR = 0.038, CFI = 0.930, and NFI = 0.905, indicating that the model fit the empirical data. Based on these findings, this measurement instrument is deemed valid and can be used to assess lifelong learning tendencies among university students in Indonesia
Recontextualizing Asbāb al-Nuzūl: From Micro-Historical Triggers to Macro-Ethical Frameworks within the Qur’anic Hierarchy of Values
The study of asbāb al-nuzūl occupies a strategic position in Qur’anic exegesis as a bridge between the revealed text and its historical context. Classical approaches have often emphasized micro-level triggers, specific events or individuals, resulting in narrow and legalistic interpretations. In contemporary Qur’anic discourse, Abdullah Saeed’s Hierarchy of Qur’anic Values calls for an integration of both micro and macro contextual approaches to produce interpretations that are more ethical and socially relevant. This study employs a qualitative methodology based on literature review and analytical hermeneutics. The analytical framework combines micro-textual analysis with macro-contextual examination, evaluated through the lens of the Hierarchy of Qur’anic Values. A case study of Surah al-Nisa’ verse 3 reveals that this integrative approach enables a dynamic reading of normative verses. Specifically, the verse’s apparent permissibility of polygamy is recontextualized as an ethical directive emphasizing justice for orphans and vulnerable women, rather than as a general legal sanction. The findings demonstrate that asba>b al-nuzu>l should not be treated merely as historical annotations but as a hermeneutical tool for rearticulating the Qur’an’s universal values, such as justice, gender equity, and protection of the marginalized, in contemporary contexts
Żimmī in Islamic Criminal Law: Analysis of Baḥru al-Mażī by Sheikh Marbawi and Its Implementation in Contemporary Muslim-Majority States
This article aims to examine the legal position of non-Muslims ‘żimmī’ as subjects of Islamic criminal law when they voluntarily bring their cases to Islamic judicial institutions. Using a qualitative library research method, the study focuses on the analysis of Sheikh Marbawi’s views as articulated in his book Baḥru al-Mażī. The theoretical framework employed is rooted in Islamic legal theory (fiqh), especially the Shafi'i school of thought, and incorporates the theory of al-Iḥsān (legal competence based on marital status) to interpret Ḥadīṡ-based rulings concerning non-Muslim offenders. The study finds that Sheikh Marbawi considers Islamic courts obliged to adjudicate cases involving żimmī when brought before them, and that such cases must be resolved using Islamic law. This view is supported by Ḥadīṡ evidence and aligns with the classical juristic principle that recognizes the legal subjectivity of non-Muslims under certain conditions. The findings contribute to contemporary Islamic legal discourse by reaffirming the inclusiveness of Islamic criminal jurisprudence, emphasizing the importance of legal pluralism within the framework of Dar al-Islam, and highlighting the scholarly contributions of Southeast Asian ulema such as Sheikh Marbawi
Pelatihan Penyuntingan Video Edukatif Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling Pencegahan Perundungan di Sekolah
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan Pelatihan Penyuntingan Video Edukatif Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling pencegahan perundungan di Sekolah Menegah Pertama (SMP) Kota Palembang. Kegiatan ini berbentuk pelatihan dengan mengembangkan kegiatan secara partisipatif baik dengan pendekatan individual maupun kelompok yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kompetensi guru bimbingan dan konseling. Jenis kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan antara lain ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan tanya jawab, dengan pendekatan pembelajaran partisipatif. Artinya, dalam proses pelaksanaan kegiatan, sejak awal sampai akhir kegiatan melibatkan peserta kegiatan. Dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan diketahui peningkatan pengetahuan khalayak sasaran terkategori tinggi dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 60%. Peningkatan pengetahuan juga didukung oleh hasil penilaian produk melalui pendampingan yang dilakukan untuk membuat video secara digital. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh khalayak sasaran terkategori sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 86,3%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa khalayak sasaran dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikan pembuatan Penyuntingan Video Edukatif Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam membuat Video edukasi yang menarik dan bervariasi guna meningkatkan Pelayanan Bimbingan dan Konselin
Pelatihan Pembuatan Konten Website Desa: Optimalisasi dan Visualisasi Berita dengan ChatGPT & Canva
Pengelolaan informasi yang efektif melalui teknologi digital merupakan langkah strategis dalam mendukung pembangunan desa dan meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat. Desa Sakerta Timur Kabupaten Kuningan menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan website desa, terutama dalam hal pembaruan dan penyajian informasi yang akurat serta menarik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan fokus pada pendampingan dan pelatihan perangkat desa dalam pembuatan serta pengelolaan konten website desa. Metode yang digunakan mencakup simulasi dan praktik langsung, di mana peserta memperoleh pemahaman teoritis melalui pemaparan materi dan menerapkannya secara langsung dalam pembuatan konten berita serta visual menggunakan aplikasi Canva dan ChatGPT. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada peserta, yang menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengelola informasi desa secara digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini terlihat pada kemampuan peserta dalam menggunakan aplikasi digital, seperti Canva dan ChatGPT, serta dalam pembuatan konten yang informatif dan menarik untuk website desa. Dengan pengelolaan website yang lebih baik, penyebaran informasi menjadi lebih efektif, meningkatkan transparansi, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pembangunan desa. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kapasitas perangkat desa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pengelolaan informasi secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan
Indonesian Version of the Risk-Taking and Self-Harm Inventory for Adolescents: Validation and Psychometric Testing
Self-harm in adolescents is becoming an issue of increasing concern, especially due to increased exposure to content on social media that can influence their behaviour. Adolescents who are experiencing emotional distress often use self-harm as a coping mechanism to deal with stress, anxiety, or feelings of helplessness. The development of an Indonesian version of this instrument is necessary to provide a valid and reliable measurement tool appropriate to the local cultural context in identifying tendencies towards self-harm and risk-taking behavior in the adolescent population in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to develop an Indonesian of the risk-taking and self-harm inventory for adolescents (SHIA). A sample of N = 446 participants was approached through an online survey created using google forms, a free online survey tool. Data were collected from various universities in Indonesia, 84 male students (18.8%) and 362 female students (81.2%). SHIA-18, with four aspects, namely: 1) mutilation, (2) self-harm, (3) overdose, and (4) suicide attempts. Data were analysed using a Rasch model approach. The findings of this research produced the SHIA-18 which has satisfactory psychometric properties as a valid and consistent tool for assessing the level of self-harm in adolescent, consisting of 18 items. The tool demonstrated strong internal consistency and measurement properties, and its performance was found to be invariant across gender
Religious Moderation is Viewed Through Emotional Intelligence: A Study among University Students
Indonesia's plurality is a priceless gift. Unfortunately, in terms of religion, conflict has colored the history of this nation. This study aims to analyze the effect of Emotional Intelligence on Religious Moderation among students in Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral (STP) – IPI Malang. With probability sampling technique, 175 samples were obtained. This research uses a quantitative approach, and data collection using a questionnaire. The research findings show, the correlation coefficient between the criterion variable and the predictor is proven to be very strong (r = 0.980), and the coefficient of determination of 0.960 shows that the predictor variables simultaneously affect the criterion variable (Religious Moderation) by 96%, the rest (4%) is influenced by other variables outside this study. In terms of causality, the predictor variables simultaneously affect the Religious Moderation variable, with a value of F = 0.000 < α (α = 0.05). While, partially the variables of perceiving emotions, using emotions to facilitate thought, understanding emotions, and managing emotions are also proven to have a significant effect on Religious Moderation (t-statistics value of perceiving emotions by 19.230 > 1.96; using emotions to facilitate thought by 3.526 > 1.96; understanding emotions by 6.163 > 1.96; and managing emotions by 2.126 > 1.96). The variable perceiving emotions contributes the most, and the variable managing emotions contributes the least. It can be concluded, both simultaneously and partially, all predictor variables have a significant effect on Religious Moderation
Ayat-Ayat Kepemimpinan dalam Tafsīr Al-Munīr Perspektif Tafsīr Maqāṣidī Abdul Mustaqim
Leadership is a fundamental aspect of human civilization and a central theme in Islamic teachings. The Qur'an addresses various dimensions of leadership through terms such as khalīfah, imāmah, and ulū al-amr. This study aims to explore the concept of leadership in Islam by analyzing Qur’anic verse QS. al-Baqarah [2]:30 through the lens of tafsīr maqāṣidī as developed by Abdul Mustaqim, using Tafsīr al-Munīr by Wahbah al-Zuḥaylī as the primary interpretive source. Employing a qualitative library research method, this paper focuses on the linguistic, semantic, and thematic analysis of the verse to uncover ethical and spiritual values embedded in the Qur’anic discourse on leadership. The findings reveal that QS. al-Baqarah [2]:30 offers a comprehensive framework for Islamic leadership rooted in divine trust (amānah) and oriented toward achieving public benefit (maṣlaḥah). Through a maqāṣidī approach, the verse reflects key principles such as environmental stewardship (ḥifẓ al-bī’ah), protection of life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), and intellectual empowerment (ḥifẓ al-‘aql). These dimensions highlight the leader’s responsibility to preserve ecological balance, ensure human dignity, and promote education and critical thinking. The study concludes that Qur’anic leadership transcends political authority, emphasizing moral integrity, accountability, and alignment with the higher objectives of Islamic law. By contextualizing Qur’anic principles within contemporary challenges, this paper contributes to the development of a relevant, ethical, and sustainable model of Islamic leadership
