    How Do Gender and Social Status Shape Adolescents' Perceptions and Attitudes Toward Online Gender-Based Violence?

    Online gender-based violence (OGBV) in Indonesia has experienced a significant increase in 2023 compared to the previous year. OGBV is a term that refers to acts of violence or sexual harassment, especially targeting women, which are carried out through internet technology. Teenagers are a generation of digital natives who are highly dependent on internet technology. Engaging in harmful content online has also been shown to pose a danger to physical and mental health. Understanding adolescents' perceptions and attitudes towards OGBV is a crucial step in efforts to overcome and prevent it. This study aims to: 1) Identify adolescents' perception of OGBV based on gender and social background; 2) Analyze adolescents' attitudes towards OGBV based on gender and social background. This quantitative survey design took the research subjects of high schools in Semarang, approximately 30882 adolescents in 16 sub-districts in Semarang with a random sampling technique using a total of 545 respondents. Because the data was not normally distributed, the data analysis used The Mann-Whitney U test and The Kruskal-Wallis H analysis. The results of the study show that women's perception is better than men's. The higher the socio-economic status, the better the perception of OGBV. Women's attitudes are higher than men's attitudes towards OGBV. There was no significant difference in OGBV's attitude based on socioeconomic status

    Learning Motivation and Mothers’ Democratic Parenting Style on Learning Behaviours

    This study investigated into the connection between learning motivation and mothers’ democratic parenting styles, exploring their impact on adolescent learning behaviors through a correlational quantitative approach. The research involved a sample of 216 high school students from Manado Independent School, carefully selected using simple random sampling. Data was gathered through the distribution of questionnaires, including the Learning Motivation Questionnaire, the Parenting Style and Dimension Questionnaire (PSDQ) for Adolescents, and the Learning Behaviors Scale, which provided valuable insights into the dynamics at play. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results of the partial regression analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between learning motivation and learning behaviors, with a regression coefficient of 0.400 and a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). In contrast, the democratic parenting style showed no significant contribution to learning behaviors, as evidenced by a regression coefficient of -0.07 and a significance value of 0.770 (p>0.05). Overall, the findings of the study revealed a significant simultaneous contribution of both learning motivation and mothers’ democratic parenting styles to adolescent learning behaviors. With a coefficient of determination of 0.653 and a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05), the results highlighted that these factors played a crucial role in enhancing learning behaviors. This, in turn, holds the potential to improve academic performance and overall learning outcomes among adolescents

    Perikanan tangkap merupakan sektor perikanan penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian khususnya nelayan. Namun sektor ini masih menghadapi banyak tantangan dan permasalahan. Nelayan Desa Tondowolio memiliki produktivitas perikanan tangkap yang masih tergolong rendah yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya infrastruktur dan teknologi. Sehingga membutuhkan solusi dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan melalui hilirisasi teknologi salah satunya alat pengumpul ikan berupa rumpon dasar. Tujuan pelatihan pembuatan rumpon dasar adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan nelayan dalam membuat alat bantu pengumpul ikan untuk meningkatkan hasil tangkapan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi fungsi dan keunggulan rumpon dasar, persiapan alat dan bahan, demonstrasi serta pendampingan pembuatan rumpon dasar. Pelatihan pembuatan rumpon dasar dilaksanakan di Desa Tondowolio dengan Mitra sasaran Kelompok Nelayan Dayung Sakti Tondowolio. Hasil pelatihan diperoleh bahwa nelayan mitra mampu mengetahui dan melakukan seluruh tahapan pembuatan rumpon dasar meliputi persiapan alat dan bahan, serta pembuatan rumpon dasar dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah yang diperoleh dari hasil sosialisasi

    The transformation of Islamic education in Iran represents a successful model of integrating Islamic values with modern knowledge. This study aims to analyze the Islamic value-based curriculum approach, the strategic roles of the government and ulama, and its implications for education quality. The method used is library research with a descriptive approach. The results indicate that Iran's curriculum achieves a balance between mastery of knowledge and spiritual reinforcement. Collaboration between the government and ulama provides a foundation for education modernization that remains consistent with Islamic teachings. This transformation has resulted in graduates who are globally competitive without losing their Islamic identity. This study recommends adapting Iran's educational approach in other Muslim countries with adjustments to local contexts

    A critical assessment of the challenges facing heads of department in colleges of education in South East Nigeria

    Purpose − The role of Heads of Department (HODs) in Colleges of Education is important to the efficient administration and smooth functioning of academic programs. In South East Nigeria, specifically in Anambra and Imo States, HODs face a myriad of challenges that hinder their ability to provide effective leadership and ensure optimal outcomes for students and staff. This study critically assesses the challenges faced by Heads of Department (HODs). The research investigates key factors affecting departmental administration, including inadequate funding, lack of regular supervision, lack of motivation among lecturers, and indiscipline among both students and staff. Method − This study used a descriptive survey design and was conducted in Colleges of Education in Anambra and Imo States. The population consisted of 600 respondents, including lecturers and students from the selected colleges. Data were collected using a validated 4-point Likert scale questionnaire, titled A Critical Assessment of the Challenges Facing Heads of Department in Colleges of Education in South East Nigeria. Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test yielded an index of 0.88. Descriptive statistics, including frequencies and percentages, and inferential statistics like ANOVA and bootstrapping were employed to analyze the data, revealing significant differences and key patterns in departmental administration. Findings − The study found that inadequate funding severely limits the availability of teaching resources, staff training opportunities, and the implementation of innovative programs. Poor supervision and lack of motivation were found to negatively impact staff productivity, academic quality, and departmental harmony. Indiscipline among both lecturers and students further exacerbates administrative challenges, leading to conflicts and a decline in institutional credibility. The study concludes that addressing these challenges requires a multifaceted approach, including increased funding, regular supervision, staff motivation, and promoting discipline within departments. The findings of this study offer actionable plan for educational policymakers and administrators seeking to improve the administration and leadership effectiveness in Colleges of Education in South East Nigeria. Recommendations are provided for strategic interventions to enhance departmental operations and ensure the overall success of these institutions

    Transformasi Keagamaan dan Sosial dalam Komunitas Ṭarīqah Qādiriyyah Naqshabandiyyah di Purwosari, Lampung Tengah

    This study explores the religious and social transformation within the Ṭarīqah Qādiriyyah Naqshabandiyyah (TQN) community of Roudlotus Solihin in Purwosari, Lampung Tengah. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research is grounded in Anthony Giddens’s theory of structuration and Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of practice. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation involving religious leaders (mursyid) and ordinary members. The findings reveal that the community has undergone significant transformation both in spiritual practices and social engagement. Regular religious activities—such as dzikr assemblies, haul celebrations, and routine pengajian—have expanded to include social empowerment programs and digital outreach through social media. These practices strengthen internal solidarity and promote broader social interaction. Moreover, generational differences are managed through inclusive strategies that integrate youth participation and technological innovation without abandoning the core spiritual doctrines. The study concludes that the TQN community in Purwosari acts as both a religious institution and a social agent, capable of reinterpreting its traditions to address contemporary challenges. This research contributes to the broader discourse on Indonesian Islam by showing how local Sufi communities sustain religious authority while engaging in meaningful social transformation

    Padi organik merupakan salah satu produk unggulan Desa Lamedai yang sedang di kembangakan. Saat ini para petani organik menghadapi permasalahan terkait Produktivitas padi organik cenderung masih rendah (3-3,5 ton/ha), luas lahan pengelolaan sawah organik masih sangat rendah yakni total keseluruhan petani satu desa 3 ha, serta terbatasnya pupuk organik yang bisa dibeli petani. Sehingga tujuan utama pelatihan program ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani organik yang mampu memproduksi pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati secara mandiri serta berdampak pada produktivitas padi organik secara umum. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi kosabangsa, pertanian organik, pembuatan pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati, tahap selanjutnya persiapan alat dan bahan, Serta proses pelatihan dan evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan diperoleh bahwa Petani mampu mengetahui dan melakukan seluruh tahapan pembuatan pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati secara mandiri

    Melimpahnya pohon siwalan di Desa Aeng Panas menghasilkan produksi air nira dan gula aren yang sangat banyak. Air Nira yang diambil dari pohon siwalan dijadikan sebagai gula aren dicetak dalam wadah dengan berat kurang lebih satu kilogram. Kondisi ini membuat hasil produksi gula aren tidak memiliki nilai tambah untuk menaikkan harga jual dan perekonomian petani Gula Aren. Produksi produk baru sebagai implementasi dari srategi diversifikasi konsentris dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini. Metode pengabdian yang diunakan adalah Participatory Action Research dengan melibatkan perempuan petani gula aren dan stakeholder desa Aeng Panas dalam mengembangkan produksi gula aren dan menjadikannya sebagai komoditas unggulan desa. Pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi Focus Group Discussion, Pelatihan Kewirausahaan dan Pelatihan Produksi Produk Baru, Pelatihan Pengemasan dan Pemasaran. Hasil pengabdian yang didapatkan oleh perempuan petani gula aren adalah memahami pentingnya berwirasusaha bagi petani gula aren serta memiliki kemampuan untuk memproduksi produk baru yaitu liquid palm sugar dengan merk See Walan dan Tarebung yang memiliki bahan baku gula aren. Produk ini berbentuk minuman siap saji dan sebagai tambahan pemanis untuk minuman laiinnya. Produk ini dipasarkan di toko-toko terdekat dan tempat-tempat wisata di sekitar Desa Aeng Panas. Produk yang dihasilkan juga dijadikan sebagai komoditas unggulan desa Aeng Panas untuk dapat meningkatkan perekonomina desa sehingga dapat bersaing dengan daerah lainnya.     Salah satu hal terpenting yang harus tertanam dalam benak seorang pembelajar agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai adalah minat belajar. Hal ini perlu ditegaskan kembali bahwa tujuan pembelajaran peserta didik kelas IV.A. SDN 130 Palembang adalah untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang interaktif, kreatif, dan inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan minat siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia melalui penggunaan games interaktif di dalam kelas. PTK dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, pegamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa games edukatif interaktif dapat meningkatkan minat belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV.A SDN 130 Palembang. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan indikator pembelajaran siswa. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil analisis lembar observasi dan angket minat belajar siswa yang menunjukkan bahwa 48% siswa memenuhi kriteria belajar baik pada semester I dan 73% memenuhi kriteria belajar sangat baik pada semester II

    The balance between human physical and psychological aspects is essential. In today's technological age, many individuals tend to prioritize material possessions, often at the expense of their inner needs. To address this imbalance, it is vital to incorporate spiritual dimensions, especially those that focus on the relationship with God. Sufism, particularly through practices such as the Tarekat Tijaniyah, offers spiritual guidance that enables individuals to attain peace of mind.This study explores the role of spiritual guidance through dhikr within the tarekat as a means of enhancing the spiritual quality of its followers. A qualitative approach, utilizing phenomenological research, is employed to understand the experiences of adherents of Tarekat Tijaniyah in the Pragaan Subdistrict. The findings indicate that through the regular and heartfelt practice of wirid and dhikr, followers experience profound spiritual moments that cultivate admirable qualities such as sincerity, patience, tawakkal (trust in God), and gratitude. This underscores the importance of achieving a balance between the spiritual and material aspects of life, resulting in inner peace and reinforced faith. The spiritual guidance provided by the muqoddam includes enlightenment, counsel, and practical spiritual exercises. The personality and charisma of the muqoddam serve as significant role models, promoting religious discipline and enriching the spiritual and mental lives of the community, ultimately benefiting society as a whole
