Influence of Cash Holding and Dividend Against Firm Value on Property Company and Real Estate Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of cash holding and dividends on firm value in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, either partially or simultaneously. The quantitative type of research used in this study, the research population is all property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2010-2019 period and the sample selection technique uses purposive sampling so that a sample of companies is obtained. The data collection techniques with documentation and are secondary data used in research. The data analysis technique used is panel data with the help of a statistical data processing program called Eviews 9. The results of the study, cash holding partially has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, while dividends partially have a positive and significant effect on firm value, while simultaneously cash holding and dividends have a significant effect on firm value
Is There any Effect of ESG Performance in the Improvement of Financial Risk in ASEAN-5?
Public awareness in social and environmental sustainability became a challenge that turned into general assessments. ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance became essential. Hence, the firm that does not apply ESG criteria in its business activities will face a consequence from investors impacting its performance, associated with financial risk. This study examines ESG performance within ESG score, ESG controversy, and BGD (Board Gender Diversity) on the total and systematic risk as a proxy for the financial risk of public companies listed on the stock exchange. This study uses a sample of 105 listed public firms from each stock exchange in ASEAN-5 (Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand) from 2016 to 2020 and applies panel regression analysis. The result suggests that ESG Score significantly influences total but not systematic risk in ASEAN-5. ESG controversy does not considerably affect total and systematic risk. BGD significantly influences total risk but not systematic risk. The findings will help investors and portfolio managers evaluate how ESG performance influences the firm\u27s financial risk and make better investment decisions in ASEAN-5
Implementing Japanese PMA Organizational Culture in Indonesia impacts Employee Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance and Employee Retention of Japanese and Indonesian Employees
The expansion of Japanese parent companies worldwide has forced them to carry the organizational culture that the Japanese founders had held onto their overseas subsidiaries. The main purpose of study is examined organizational culture, employee job satisfaction, and employee performance of Japanese PMA companies in Indonesia on employee retention. Eight Japanese companies were used as the sample, where 33 Japanese employees and 222 Indonesian employees were respondents. Theory Z is used to discuss organizational culture. The questionnaire was made in Indonesian, English, and Japanese. The research model uses a tiered structure model, while to test the proposed hypothesis, the SEM Lisrel 8.8 analysis technique is used. The main finding is the organizational culture of Japanese companies in Indonesia strongly influences job satisfaction, employee performance, and employee retention. Applying Japanese corporate culture shows that Japanese and Indonesian employees understand the company\u27s core values. Employee performance can be realized by employees being able to understand the cultural values of the organization
Semi-Manual Processing Of Blood Clamps Waste into Chitosan Powder
Blood clams (Anadara granosa) are endemic clams found in Southeast Asia and East Asia. Blood clams are widely consumed by the public as seafood dishes in coastal food stalls. The great potential of blood clams will increase the waste of clam shells produced. The accumulation of shellfish waste will cause pollution and reduce environmental aesthetics. The chitin content in blood clam shells can be used as chitosan. Chitosan is a polymer of -(1-4) glucosamine which is formed when the acetyl group in chitin is substituted by hydrogen to become an amine group. Chitosan has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Isolation of chitosan was carried out through the stages of demineralization, deproteination, and deacetylation. The limited use of laboratories during the pandemic is a major obstacle in the isolation process of chitosan. This study aims to process blood clam shell waste into chitosan in a simple way on a home scale. Processing includes deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation were done using tools and materials available at home. Laboratory equipment such as beakers could be replaced with pots, the reflux process was replaced by using a cloth to filter, and measuring cups were replaced with glasses. Implementation Sanitation Standard Operational Procedure in Online Food during Covid-19 Pandemic in East Jakarta
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused people to immobilize to eat out, many industries are closed, the community’s economy is down, and many online food small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have sprung up. One of the areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is East Jakarta. The implementation of Sanitation Standard Operational Procedure (SSOP) in online food SMEs requires special attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to evaluate food production facilities in online food SMEs. Direct observation using instrument from Indonesian National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) Number HK.03.1.23.04.12.2207 2012 was conducted. The survey was conducted from May to June 2021 in five sub-districts in East Jakarta, namely Duren Sawit, Matraman, Pulo Gadung, Kampung Makassar, and Cipayung. Of the 32 SMEs observed, 50% had been established in less than one year. Most of the SMEs owners have secondary and higher education education and sell popular Street food or food. The survey covers non-compliance in 14 elements of food production facilities. The results show minor disobedience 18.8%, major disobedience 33.3%, serious defiance 25.8%, and critical disobedience 29.9%. In conclusion, major disobedience had the highest percentage, followed by critical, serious, and minor disobedience. Further education in the application of SSOP for online food SMEs should be carried out
Development of Writing Teaching Materials with a Contextual Approach of Public Junior High School (SMPN 1), Pinang City, South Labuhan Batu, Indonesia
Based on observations from interviews with Indonesian language and literature teachers at SMPN 1, Pinang City, South Labuhan Batu, Indonesia, it is known that students\u27 writing skills still need to be improved. Only 60% of students who are able to write instructions properly and correctly, the rest still have difficulty in writing instructions. In this study, there are two categories of research data sources. First, the data source for the prototype needs of teaching materials consists of students and teachers. Second, the prototype validation data source that will assess the prototype of teaching materials writing instructions with a contextual approach. Sources of data needs prototype teaching materials in this study are students and teachers. Sources of prototype validation data that assess the product development of this research are teachers and expert lecturers. The main finding of this study is the average value given by three teachers and two experts on the prototype of teaching materials for writing instructions with a contextual approach, namely (1) aspects of material presentation of 69.79 included in the good category, (2) aspects of content /material of 79.17 is included in the good category, and (3) aspects of language and readability of 80.42 are included in the good category. After making improvements based on the results of assessments and suggestions by teachers and experts, the teaching materials write instructions with the Contextual after repair contains material on the meaning of writing instructions, characteristics that need to be considered in writing instructions, steps for writing instructions, examples of writing instructions, and effective sentences
Political Economic Transactions in Political Contest: Relationship Between Poverty and Money Politics in Indonesia
In political contestation, the issue of poverty is still considered effective because it can be felt directly by the community. The contestants\u27 use of poverty data for certain political purposes will make the sympathy of many people and prove to be able to gain people\u27s votes because they feel represented. In the process, the contestants, both incumbent and opposition, will look for loopholes in each of their campaign programs regarding poverty suppression. On the other hand, our political contestation event is also still being polluted by the practice of money politics. The wide gap in economic inequality will trigger the practice of money politics. This practice is increasingly widespread by the presence of the rich elite as material givers and voters who are below the poverty line as recipients. Those who receive money sometimes do not really think about the consequences that will be received, such as bribery and vote buying which are clearly against the law, because the most important thing for them is to get money and be able to fulfill their needs. In this case, money politics is also growing and there are many kinds, not only in the form of money but those who carry out this practice will bandage it so that it is not too visible, such as by providing assistance, rewards, and material or other valuable things as well as by promising something. later inserted when campaigning by candidates or campaign teams in political contestations. To discuss these problems, the author uses a qualitative method through a literature study, namely collecting and analyzing data using various relevant references on poverty and money politics. Preparation Training for the Implementation of Agricultural Micro Insurance in the Prosperous Farmers Group, Parungponteng Village, Tasikmalaya Regency
Agriculture is a form of processing biological natural resources with the help of technology, capital, labor, and management. In Indonesia, agriculture is the main source of livelihood in some areas, one of which is Cibungur village, Parungponteng sub-district, Tasikmalaya district, West Java. With agriculture as the main livelihood in the village, all of these are not spared from the risks that can damage the agricultural sector. With the risks that can occur, there comes a solution to this problem, one of which is insurance. One of the insurance facilities for handling farmer risk is the Agricultural Micro Insurance program, which is expected to provide protection against the risk of uncertainty by providing guarantees for farmers to get working capital for farming from insurance claims. With this insurance, it can also reduce the risks that will occur which may be detrimental in the future. To realize this micro-insurance, we provide guidance to the prosperous farmer cooperative groups to form micro-insurance within the cooperative
Strengthening School Counseling Guidance Activities through e-counseling
Cybercounseling is defined as a professional counseling practice that occurs when the counselee and counselor are separately and utilize electronic media to communicate via the internet. Several problems arise in student coaching activities by Guidance Counseling teachers, namely: not yet optimal use of cyber counseling applications, recording of student progress, which is still done manually, and the unavailability of facilities for students to express academic and non-academic problems. The technology provided is an e-counseling application. The method used in this activity is an e-counseling implementation workshop. Computer Vocational Schools as partners have been involved in the stages of needs identification, implementation, and trials. The school elements involved are Principals, Students, BK teachers, and homeroom teachers. This technology provides an alternative repository of student development. Based on the results of the workshop, it was found that the repository was available at 85% and the usability level of the system was 75%
Doctor\u27s Legal Protection in Health Services for Covid-19 Patients
Doctors as medical workers are at the forefront of health services for Covid-19 patients. During the pandemic, doctor is the profession that has the highest risk in handling Covid-19 patients. In this case, it is appropriate if doctors get legal protection in carrying out their profession. So, what is the actual form of legal protection that doctors have received so far in handling Covid-19 patients? Have the existing regulations accommodated this protection?. The method of research which used in this research was normatif by examining the law which is conceptualized as a norm or rule that applied in society, and becomes a reference for everyone\u27s behavior. The results of the study indicated that there were preventive and repressive measures which were as means of legal protection for doctors during Pandemic. Preventive efforts can be interpreted as steps or ways that can be taken to prevent an event that has legal consequences in the form of fulfilling obligations as a doctor, namely by carrying out the profession in accordance with professional standard, professional service standard, and standard operating procedures, completing administration in medical practice such as informed consent. and medical records, getting vaccines, providing incentives. While repressive efforts are defined as steps or method which taken if an event that results in law has occurred in the form of providing compensation to doctors who died, giving awards for services, bearing medical expenses for exposed doctors, and prosecution for criminal acts towards people who do not orderly implement health protocols. The legal protection of medical workers in handling Covid-19 is evident in the fact that these medical workers have received legal protection in the form of supervision and guidance carried out by the Central Government, Regional Government or their Work Agencies. It shows that existing regulations have accommodated legal protection for doctors during the Covid-19 pandemic
