    Get PDF
In the chaos literature, the application of modeling and control of dynamic systems in chaos theory arising in several fields is investigated. In this article we analyze complex financial chaos systems with countries as interest rates, investment demand, and price indices. The proposed chaotic flow\u27s dynamic behavior is examined using phase portraits, eigenvalues, bifurcation diagrams, and Lyapunov exponent spectra. A significant quantity of research on secure communication systems has been published in recent years as a result of the major advancements in communications equipment and encryption techniques. A new voice encryption algorithm design is given using a financial chaos model. An application for voice encryption is conducted using the suggested algorithm, and the outcomes are described

    Get PDF
Volcano eruption insurance is an insurance product that provides financial protection to policy holders who experience losses due to volcanic eruptions. This insurance product is still rarely developed in Indonesia, even though this country is very vulnerable to natural disasters. Therefore, this research aims to carry out a simulation of determining volcanic eruption disaster insurance premiums based on collective risk and the level of risk distribution. The data used in this research is the frequency of events and economic losses due to volcanic eruptions. Event frequency and loss data are analyzed using a collective risk model. Apart from that, determining insurance premiums also takes into account loading factors and the level of risk distribution from volcanic eruption disaster data. From the results of the analysis, it was found that natural disaster insurance premiums had increased, along with an increase in the loading factor provided. In addition, insurance premium expenses are influenced by the collective risks faced by customers. The greater the collective risk faced, the greater the insurance premium that customers must bear. Based on the results of the estimates carried out, it is hoped that this research can provide an overview to the Indonesian government in estimating the Mount Meletus insurance scheme. Meanwhile, insurance companies can get an idea of determining insurance premiums according to conditions in the field

    Get PDF
Technical efficiency is crucial for the advancement and growth of contemporary enterprises and is a major area of policy concern in many countries. Numerous pieces of evidence suggest that Ethiopia\u27s industries, particularly those depend on wood were not operating as efficient as they should be. As a result, the country is not benefiting as much from the sector as it ought to, and it is now compelled to import wooden products at a higher cost in foreign exchange. Therefore, to examine the technical efficiency of the industries; four purposively selected main cities such as Addis Ababa, Hawassa, Jima and Bahir Dar were selected. From these cities, information was collected, analyzed, and the results were obtained. The result shows that the technical efficiency of Ethiopia\u27s wood industries is lower than expected. Out of a total of 170, about 149 (87.6 %) of the furniture workshops are technically inefficient. This is because workers working in the wood industries are less educated. In addition to this lack of on-the-job training, lack of modern machineries and insufficient skills to use them properly, inconvenient production and sales area, shortage and quality of raw materials, insufficient capital, lack of market connection, have been shown to be the reasons. Therefore, to improve the technical efficiency of the industries, it is better to have continuous vocational training, loan support so that they can get and use better machines, as well as convenient manufacturing, product display and sales, improving and facilitating market linkages

The Generalized Additive Models (GAM) P-Spline can overcome these problems. The non-linear relationship between claim amount with age, body mass index, and blood pressure can be modelled with GAM P-Spline. The formed GAM model with PIRLS unable to give a clear information of relationship between variables explicitly, but can be seen by the shape of the function of each predictor associated with the link function used
