In the current situation, where there is an economic transition to a smart carbon economy or low carbon economy, it is necessary to form the optimal portfolio of stocks to facilitate investors in making investments. The purpose of this study is to form the optimal investment portfolio using the Black-Litterman model in a smart carbon economy. The data used is stock data from 24 companies listed on the LQ45 Low Carbon Leaders index for the period 2022-2023. Based on the research results, the Black-Litterman model generates the optimal portfolio with a 0.1% expected return. Get PDF
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Lending Growth, BOPO, and CAR on Banking ROA with NPL as a moderating variable. The problem contained in this study is that there is a gap between the value of theory and the value of real practice based on the factors that create variations in ROA value. Indonesian banking companies for the period 2018-2022 published on the IDX website are used as the research population in this study. Selection of research samples through purposive sampling to obtain 19 companies. Panel Data Regression Analysis is a data analysis process that processes data using the Eviews 12 program. The level of loan, BOPO, and CAR are assumed to have an effect on bank profitability in this analysis. The effect of credit risk ratio amplifies the impact on the level of lending, BOPO, and CAR on profitability. The results of data analysis contain the statement that bank profitability can be influenced by lending and BOPO, but cannot be influenced by CAR. Similarly, the role of credit risk cannot moderate the effect of CAR on ROA but can weaken the effect of lending and BOPO on bank ROA

One of the most significant challenges affecting the financial sector pertains to issues such as loan non-repayment, a weak legal framework, and ineffective strategies for lender recourse and bad debt recovery. This has particularly impacted microfinance institutions, leading to Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) that diminish profits through credit losses and direct write-offs for loans turning into bad debts, ultimately reducing the funds available for lending. These challenges have posed a serious threat to the stability and survival of some Microfinance institutions in Kenya. Recognizing this gap, the research delved into exploring the effect of structural alignment on the performance of selected microfinance institutions in Meru County Kenya. Employing a descriptive research design, the study targeted 530 individuals comprising of Senior Managers, Tellers/Field Officers, and Customers of the ten selected Microfinance institutions within Meru County. Primary data was collected using questionnaires, and the semi-structured instrument was pilot-tested by 20 staff from Key Microfinance. The questionnaires were delivered to the respondents\u27 workplaces and subsequently collected for analysis, which involved both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The study\u27s findings were presented through tables, figures, and qualitative discussions for analysis

    Get PDF
Every country has its own income, including ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. One source of national income can come from stocks, which can be measured by the stock index. The income of each country depends on each other and can be influenced by a phenomenon, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic can also cause volatility spillover. This research aims to analyze volatility spillover in ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia) before and during Covid-19 by looking at the effects of asymmetric volatility. Volatility spillover testing in this study uses the Exponential Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (EGARCH) model, starting with creating a time series model and then modeling the residuals from that model, then finding the estimated parameter results of asymmetric volatility effects. The results of this study indicate that during the period before Covid-19, there is volatility spillover for Indonesia and Malaysia. Then, during the Covid-19 period, there is volatility spillover for Indonesia and Malaysia, for Indonesia and Singapore, and for Singapore and Malaysia

    Get PDF
The ideology and social-political viewpoints of the author have an impact on their texts. Students should thus assess their reading and writing assignments from several angles and avoid taking any material at face value. However, there is still a lack of literacy practice in the EFL environment that goes beyond breaking down linguistic elements and comprehending the surface material of the texts. As a result, educators should switch from conventional literacy to critical literacy. Beyond just decoding words, critical literacy interprets them in light of their context to conclude the social, political, and ideological viewpoints expressed in the text. This research aims to determine if using a storybook and the four resources model of critical literacy may help first- semester students in the English Language Education Study Program at Universitas Bale Bandung practice critical literacy. The four resources model suggested by Luke and Freebody (1999) served as the foundation for the text discussions. Focus group interviews, classroom observations, and notebooks they kept while researching a tale were all used to gather the data. The results demonstrated that including an account and four resources help pupils strengthen their critical thinking skills. Through breaking codes exercises, discussion of the storybook during the meaning-making stage, comprehension of the story\u27s structural elements and social function during the text-use phase, and critical discussion of the storybook, the students could identify the writer\u27s language choice and challenge social norms. Despite its drawbacks and limitations, this research shows that critical literacy practice is feasible in EFL contexts, particularly in reading classroom
