HERMENEUTIC RECEPTION OF EX-CONVICT TERRORISTS ON UNDERSTANDING THE QUR’ANIC VERSES OF JIHAD AND QITAL
Ex-convict terrorists interpret the Qur’anic verses of jihad and qita>l as war against infidels, with the view that jihad is an obligation and heaven as the reward. This understanding has theological, political, sociological and psychological implications. In the context of Hans Robert Jauss' reception theory, the two main factors that influence this understanding are internal factors (personal background) and external factors (situation and social interaction). These determine how one understands the verses of jihad and qita>l in the Qur'an. This conclusion refutes the theory that attributes religion as the cause of violence as proposed by some scholars such as John Louis Esposito, David Rapoport, Robert Scott Appleby, and Bruce Lincoln
The style of using Israeli traditions in Qur'anic Tafsir (Specific Study of Tafseer Majdi
Abstract
Israelism is the replication of the traditions and references seen in the exegesis of the Qur'an among the People of the Book. Except for the distinction between Ijaz and Atnab, the Holy Quran agrees with the Torah and the Gospel on several topics. These topics include ethical guidance, penalties, and the experiences of prior prophets, the miraculous acts of Hazrat Jesus, and more. While it is acceptable to consult them for confirmation of our religious and philosophical convictions, it is important to remember that the oral histories of past Ummahs mentioned in the Qur'an are meant to serve as guidance and teachings rather than as narratives. There exist three main techniques among subcontinental commentators when it comes to investigating and replicating Israelite traditions: 1) mere reproduction of Israelite traditions, wherein the contributors do not expose its falsehood, nor do they render it an issue. The Israeli narratives found in the Qur'an and Hadith have been cited by commentators as evidence. Two approaches have been utilized by the commentators to refute Israelism. The first is a cursory reference of the customs and a claim that one is exempt from them. This article will specifically examine Tafsir Majdi, a notable exegesis, within the framework of the Hebrew text interpretation. And in what way has Mu'azah al-Hasna been embraced to refute their false notions and demonstrate the veracity of Islam? It investigates how Tafseer Majdi encounters and analyzes these customs, illuminating their potential to have an effect on peace between faiths. The paper provides perspectives on how such beliefs foster shared comprehension as well as possible conflict in the context of different faiths by focusing on the subtle link between Israelism and Islamic exegesis

It examines the verses and Hadith that address the issue, highlighting verses that emphasize the importance of religious tolerance and coexistence
The Role of Traditional Katatib and Dahaliz Schools in Spreading Islamic Outreach in the City of Ilorin
It is not hidden from us how education was the principle of Islamic culture and how Islam was the principle of education, or rather how reading and writing became the fundamental factor for spreading knowledge. Wherever Islam set its foot, education accompanied it. It was emphasized that every Muslim should grasp some knowledge of the Arabic language and learn enough to perform religious duties such as prayer, almsgiving, fasting, and more. Education thus became an integral part of Islam, and one should adhere to it in all circumstances. The city of Ilorin is one of the northern cities with a long history in Islam, and it still enjoys a refined Islamic culture. This has made it a gateway where preachers call to Allah, and a destination for those who love the language of the Qur’an. The city has been influenced in its scholarly and religious life by the purity of Quranic schools and traditional scientific centers, whose effective roles in spreading the Islamic call in this vibrant city should not be underestimated. The purpose of this research is to shed light on the extent of contributions made by these diligent traditional Islamic schools in the field of spreading the Islamic call in this cherished city. This was achieved by gathering information scattered in various sources and through communication with scholars in the city. The research concludes with findings, recommendations, and cultures
Navigating Mental Health Complexities: The Interplay of Depression, Self-esteem, Literacy, and Gender
Current research explored a nexus among depression, self-esteem, literacy and gender. Empirical cross-sectional study employing quantitative method involved the collection of data from 500 individuals using purposive sampling. The sample was equally divided between genders, with 250 participants identifying as female—125 educated and 125 uneducated. The remaining 250 were male, with an even distribution of 125 educated and 125 uneducated individuals. Data collection utilized two measurement scales: the Beck Depression Inventory and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale ( in both Urdu and English versions) level of education was assessed through demographics. Results of correlations between Depression and Self-esteem revealed a significant negative relationship (r = -.523, p < 0.01), indicating that as Depression escalates; there's a corresponding decline in Self-esteem. This emphasizes the interdependency between these psychological facets, underscoring how fluctuations in one can influence the other—critical insight in understanding mental health dynamics. Moreover, the correlation involving Literacy, Depression, and Self-esteem (r = .009, p < 0.01) showcased an intriguing relationship. As Literacy levels rise, Depression tends to decrease while Self-esteem concurrently ascends. The correlation involving Gender, Depression, and Self-esteem (r = -.026, p < 0.001) revealed a negative relationship, implying a link between gender and mental health outcomes. Self-esteem, Literacy, and Gender, emphasizing females' preference for supernatural explanations over-reporting depression. It highlighted education's potential protective role against Depression and the need for improved literacy to understand mental health complexities. Widespread awareness is crucial to dispel misconceptions and enable accurate diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues in communities
کلامِ اقبال میں رجائیت اور مستقبل شناسی کا عنصر: The element of optimism and futurism in Kalam-e-Iqbal
In the early years of the twentieth century, the world of Islam was going through a turbulent period. Most of the Muslim countries have become slaves to the colonial powers of Europe.Muslims were not only economically and politically defeated by Western countries but had also accepted the supremacy of the West on an intellectual level. This state of defeat was even worse than political slavery. In these circumstances, Iqbal predicted the renaissance of Muslims and the decline of Western colonialism. Iqbal was studying at Cambridge University at the time and wrote a poem in 1907 that was published in the monthly "MAKHZAN" and later included in "BANG-E-DARA." This period was the height of the British Empire and the end of despair for the Muslims of India. Most of the Muslim thinkers and reformers did not have the hope that the world of Islam would stand on its own two feet again and find a dignified place among the nations of the world. Hali was lamenting the loss of Muslim greatness in "Masdus Madujzar Islam" and the concept of Muslim renaissance was not in his mind. In this paper, the element of futurism in Kalam-e-Iqbal has been highlighted.

The Concept of Prohibited Breeding: A Comparative Study in the Light of Talmud and Islamic Teachings
Socially, humanity is the creation by the Lord of the Universe to benefit from the various species with which humans are related in different stages of worldly life. Therefore, Allah Almighty has chosen mankind to guide and differentiate about the beneficial and harmful things. He sent messengers to the beings, who informed the Humans about the rules and regulations of Allah Almighty regarding different kinds of water and land, animals and plants, Later, the believers of these entities further explained their teachings and tried to explain the reasons for the benefits and harms of objects and by mixing objects with different attributes together through various experiments. In addition, due to the order to avoid corruption, humanity is prohibited from all such reproductive matters, which tarnish the honor and prohibition of humanity and brutality in humanity. The current research work has been discussing about the Talmudic and Islamic teachings about prohibited breeding. The purpose of this work is to test humanity whether after attaining the blessing of wisdom, whether it leaves behind all the limitations and goes on a temporary life of its own accord, or abides by the limitations and limitations of its master's theory and method. The present study has been organized through primary and secondary sources e.g. Quran, Talmud, Ahadith, books of contemporary age, articles and research papers. It is scholarly admitted that Human Sharia also informs about the rules and regulations related to breeding while supporting efforts to improve the economy. Therefore, a brief review of the Talmud and Islamic laws related to this breeding is carefully mentioned below, so that awareness of the relevance and compatibility of the Islamic and Talmudic laws related to the breeding especially their unique and different points and prohibited methods are brought to the academic globe
The Effect of Car Ijarah / Lease Financing on the Pakistani Islamic Banking Sector's Performance
Purpose: This study aims to identify the effect of car ijarah / lease financing on the Pakistani Islamic banking sector's performance. It is one of the primary enhancements offered by Islamic financial institutions.
Research Gap: Lack of studies that focus on how Car Ijarah / Lease financing affects Islamic banks is a research gap in this field.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In the study, six independent variables were used: return on equity (ROE), net profit margin (NIM), Log of total financing (LTF), Ijarah real financing (IJRF), cost of total financing (CTF), total financing over total resources (TFTR), base percentage (BP), customer value index (CVI) and gross domestic product (GDP). Moreover, study analyzes the effect of Ijarah financing on Islamic bank performance in Pakistan from (2018-2022) using Variable and Arbitrary Effect Models Analysis (AFMA).
The Main Findings: The study shows that Islamic banks are more profitable, liquid, better capitalized, and have lower credit risk than conventional banks. However, operational efficiency and ROE are negatively linked, while Ijarah's finance and cost total financing have a positive impact on NIM and GDP.
Theoretical/Practical Implications of the Findings: Ijarah facilitates ROE development, making it attractive for banks, especially for development contributions. As a result, Ijarah financing is supportive of racial and religious growth. Thus, Islamic bank profitability and sustainable growth can be enhanced by Ijarah financing.
Originality/Value: This paper presents an original study of the Islamic banking system's performance based on the study of Car Ijarah / Lease finance in Pakistan
