Exploring the Ethical Crossroads: American Exceptionalism in Foreign Affairs

In addition, the study inspects the chronological origins of American exceptionalism and its impact on the United State foreign policy. Also, provide a focus on historical event, policymaking and their moral and ethical implications. Furthermore, it provides analysis of challenges and dilemmas faced by United State. It aims to explore the role of American exceptionalism in transforming the United State actions on global stage and its impact on international relation with different examples. This article delves into a broad and clear understanding with how American exceptionalism affects decision-making process in foreign concerns. Additionally, the analysis also provides that how implications of different policies evolve the world order. Nigerian University's Islamic Studies Curriculum and Sustainable Development Goals: The Case of the University of Ilorin
Get PDFThe blueprint designed by the world to accomplish a robust sustainable future for all living creatures is referred to as sustainable development goals. The goals, which are seventeen in number, address challenges of the developed and developing countries and aim at improving human welfare and protecting the environment. However, there is no doubt that one of the key objectives of the University education is to integrate sustainability across all programmes for the attainment of the desired goals. Thus, this research examines the Islamic Studies curriculum of the University of Ilorin's academic programme with the objective of identifying its relevance to the actualisation of selected sustainable development goals. The paper adopted a combination of historical and descriptive methods for data collection and data analysis. The findings of the study reveal that the curriculum of Islamic Studies exposes students to the knowledge needed in shaping a sustainable future in the goals discussed and recommends expansion of the curriculum to cover other aspects such as climate change, industrialisation, and well-being

No full textThis study addresses the phenomenon of deletion in the Holy Qur’an through an applied study in Surah Al-Baqarah. It is a pure rhetoric study. The theoretical study concluded that the deletion is a prominent linguistic phenomenon especially in the Arabic language and the Holy Qur’an. Deletion is the omission of one word or more in the sentence. The most important reasons for deletion: the hearer knows the deleted; if the deleted is known and understood, there is no need then to mention it, but it is more adequate to delete it to shorten the speech. Also: frequent use; some words are often mentioned in the speech, and they have to be deleted for concession. It is known that deletion needs the existence of evidence. First: the word; the word, whether a noun, a verb or a preposition, has its own subordinations through which we can infer the existence of deletion. Second: the language; each language has its foundations and origins that may sometimes lead us to infer the existence of deletion of the sentence. The phenomenon of deletion, like other linguistic phenomena, has certain conditions such as: the existence of the direct or circumstantial evidence on the deleted; the deleted should not lead to prepare the factor for work and interrupt it; it should not also lead to the realization of the weak factor with the possibility of the realization of the strong one.The applied study in the Surah Al-Baqarah shows that there are various deleted: preposition, noun and verb. Rhetorians differ in opinions about the occurrence of this phenomenon between permissive and forbidder, each according to his arguments and doctrine, but there is some agreement between them
Theological Perspectives - Prophecy and Prophethood
Get PDFThe Paper assumes that the roots of Prophecy and Prophethood may be traced back to the early beginnings of the Abrahamic religion. Prophecy is essentially a challenge to established institutions whether religious, political, or social, by mediating between a ‘higher’ authority and the lay public. But Prophets establish their authority by being apart from the social order upheld by established institutions and asserting the values of a more transcendent order.
Rapid material growth, spiritual decline and social changes introduced a host of challenges against which the Prophets struggled. Each one made his own contribution to religious understanding and stressed the necessity of faith, righteousness, moral conduct, human responsibility, universalism and worship of Allah/Yahweh - the One and Only God of everyone through faithfulness.
The Prophets being convinced that Allah would fulfil His Promises only as the people were faithful in worship and in righteousness, endeavoured to revive a listless faith. They depended upon direct relationship with The Almighty, and were concerned with immediate human problems, insisted on standards of moral conduct, taught that the entire world would learn to worship the Creator and Sustainer of the World, and believed in success through human effort guided by Divine Inspiration. They believed that evil would perish at the end of time, and a new era of blessedness established. Prophecy ceased with the Qur’an and the Prophethood with Muhammad

Additionally, Hadiths also highlight the Prophet Muhammad's encouragement of individuals to exercise their right to choose a spouse wisely. The right to choose a spouse empowers individuals to make decisions that align with their personal preferences, aspirations, and goals. Islam encourages the importance of mutual consent and open communication in building strong and harmonious marital relationships. No full textThe relationship between universities and industry (UIRs) is not a new phenomenon. Moreover, the West has made tremendous progress after the Industrial Revolution. Specifically, the University Industrial Relations (UIR) lacks reliable study on (relationships) worth creation, which provides a basis for studying the familiarity gaps found in this field. The primary purpose of this research is to analyze the mediating role of customer appreciation in understanding the connection between relationship benefits (RB) and relationship value (RV). Being grateful to one another is fundamental to maintaining healthy relationships and may provide light on the worth of partnerships as a result of the mutual benefits they give. Thus, the marketing canon is enriched by the research of customer gratitude (CG) as a mediating component in the connection between relationship advantages and value. In conclusion, a survey questionnaire was used to assess the applicability of the CG model to the field of education. The results also show that CG acts as a mediator between the positive aspects of relationships and the value we place on them. The findings of this research demonstrate a robust CG model

No full textThe jurists and scholars of Islam have mentioned numerous fundamental and subsidiary objectives and outcomes in relation to the secrets and mysteries of all Sharīʿah rulings. These are interpreted as the objectives of Sharīʿah Maqla. In the view of the maqāsidī jurists (those who engage in discussions about the objectives of Sharīʿah), it is believed that the underlying purpose behind all the Sharīʿah Injunctions is the achievement of those objectives. While adhering to the objectives of Sharīʿah and keeping them in consideration, the scholars in every era identify and formulate legal adaptations for new emerging issues and they seek guidance from the objectives of Sharīʿah. The prohibition of usury (ribā) in the religion of Islam is established with definitive evidences. However, the Quran and the Prophetic traditions explicitly declare usury as prohibited in limited specific situations. This is why jurists have made efforts to ascertain the underlying effective cause for the prohibition of usury in order to determine the Sharīʿah rulings for the undefined new issues. As the jurists have elucidated the effective causes for the prohibition of usury, in the same way, it was also necessary to examine and evaluate the prohibition of usury in the context of the objectives of Sharīʿah.
This study is an attempt to comprehend the prohibition of usury in the light of the objectives of Sharīʿah. Furthermore, a critical analysis has been presented, examining the prevalent banking system based on lending and borrowing in the context of these objective

He (ﷺ) reformed such a society that was unfamiliar with civilization and human right, the world is unable to set an example of this until the Day of Judgment. In the present era, taking into consideration these principles and reforms, the formation of the state is necessary in this way so that the dream of a real welfare state can be fulfilled

Get PDFThis research presents a comprehensive analytical study of the role of Arabic poetry in instilling ethical and faith-based values throughout various historical eras—beginning with the pre-Islamic period, passing through the Islamic era, and extending to the Abbasid and Andalusian periods, up to Sufi and contemporary poetry. The study is based on the hypothesis that Arabic poetry has never been merely a form of aesthetic indulgence, but rather a consistent voice for values, a platform for virtues, and a means for spiritual refinement and the cultivation of collective conscience.The research adopts a critical and analytical methodology, drawing upon selected poetic models from each period, coupled with linguistic, rhetorical, and philosophical analysis. It links poetic texts to the religious, cultural, and social contexts in which they emerged. The study highlights how poets—from Zuhayr, Antarah, and Tarafa, through Hassan ibn Thabit and Ka'b ibn Zuhayr, to Ibn al-Farid, Rumi, and Ahmad Shawqi—employed poetic expression to build moral foundations and affirm concepts such as patience, generosity, truthfulness, humility, and love of God and His Messenger.Additionally, the study explores the artistic techniques that enhanced the educational impact of poetry, such as ethical imagery, Sufi symbolism, musical rhythm, and oral recitation, showcasing poetry's dual capacity to address both the intellect and the emotions.The research concludes that Arabic poetry serves as an ethical and spiritual document, where message and beauty are harmoniously integrated, and remains—despite contemporary challenges—a powerful contributor to the moral and cultural advancement of the Muslim community
