Workplace Information Literacy: An Assessment of Academicians in QS-Ranked Universities of Lahore
The present paper identifies information literacy self-efficacy in workplace context among academicians working in all QS-ranked universities of Lahore. In addition, the current study aims to find a correlation of information literacy with different socio-cultural variables of academicians. This study opted for a quantitative approach, using a survey questionnaire for data collection. There were 356 responses collected from academicians working in all QS-ranked universities in Lahore. The data analysis was carried out through SPSS software. In order to achieve the study objectives, both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The outcomes disclosed that the participants of the survey were highly skilled and self-possessed in information literacy as a whole and in all sub-dimensions too. Investigating the correlation between variables, it was found that the respondents’ age, job and research experiences were positively correlative to information literacy. It indicates that the academicians’ IL enhanced as they become older, research, and job experience upgraded. No statistical difference was found in respondents' IL with their gender, qualification and designation. No previous research studies have been published on information literacy self-efficacy of university academicians in workplace context in Pakistan. The present study has two limitations: 1) Study results are established on self-reported views of participants' IL self-efficacy, and 2) the current study was commenced at the QS-ranked universities of Lahore. The understanding may include formulating advanced university information literacy programs to support research-based learning

Isolation and Identification of Bacteriumon DiagnosticPathology Laboratory Hardware
Background: The main aim of our study is to check the hygiene level of private and government hospital laboratories instruments and to determine Isolation and identification of bacteria present on clinical laboratories instrument (computers keyboard, mouse and telephone).
Methodology: An analytical cross-sectionalstudywas conducted in the tertiary private and government hospital laboratories of Islamabad, Pakistan from 1stApril to 30thSeptember 2023. Samples were collected aseptically from various sections of the laboratory using sterilized wet cotton swabs; clean each computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone dipped in distal water and rotated on every corner of the keyboard, mouse, and telephone. For the isolation of organism, samples were inoculated on MacConkey agar for overnight at 37 0C, after overnight incubation bacterial colonies of different shape, size and color were selected. Following the collection of pure colonies, conventional microbiological methods such as Gram staining and biochemical tests were used to identify the organisms. For antibiotic testing, AST was measured using the dick diffusion method Mueller-Hinton Agar (MHA). For statistical analysis, we used MS Excel and SPSS (version no 22) software.
Results: Out of 120, 42 (35.0 %) samples were collected from keyboard, 42 (35.0 %) from mouse and 36 (30.0 %) from telephone. A total of 59 (49.2 %) samples were resulted as STAPH SPP, 40 (33.3 %) samples were MRS, 6 (5.0 %) samples were MRSA, and 15 (12.5 %) samples were found with no growth. The fact that some of these bacteria are highly resistant to routinely used antibiotics is quite concerning. Multidrug resistance was also discovered.
Conclusion: Antimicrobial resistance to most common antimicrobial agents was also found in high numbers. As a result, pathogenic microorganisms on computer keyboards, mouse and telephones are a cause for concern. Because computer keyboards, mouse and telephones provide a surface for colonization, infection control recommendations must focus on proper surface disinfection and hand hygiene, as well as understanding of how to clean such surfaces or disinfect them
An Analysis of Criticism on Wahi e Khafī and Ilhām (Specific study of the objections of Ghulam Ahmed Parvez)
This study examines Ghulam Ahmad Parwez's critique of the concept of "Wahi Khafi" and presents the scholarly opinions of other critics of Sufism. The analysis aims to reach a definitive understanding through a detailed examination. According to Parwez, the cessation of prophethood marked the end of all forms of revelation and inspiration. He contends that the belief in "Wahi Khafi" is fabricated and borrowed from Jewish traditions, asserting that there is no mention of such types of revelation in the early Islamic period and that the concept forms the basis of Sufism. Parwez articulates his views in "The Reality of Sufism," describing the development of the concept and attributing its formulation to Imam Shafi'i.
Furthermore, the study reviews the perspectives of other scholars such as Syed Maududi, Dr. Israr Ahmad, and Javed Ahmad Ghamidi on "Wahi Khafi," who generally support the concept. It explores the definitions and instances of revelation from Quranic and Hadith sources, examining the linguistic and terminological meanings of "Wahi," and how it applies in religious contexts

Improving the Standard of Living for Disabled Individuals: An Islamic Perspective
This research article delves into the intricate and multifaceted issue of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through the lens of an Islamic perspective. Society often takes for granted the fundamental pillars of a fulfilling life, which encompass access to quality education, the support of a nurturing family, a conducive environment, and the companionship of a life partner. It raises the fundamental question: Do disabled individuals not equally require these life-enriching elements?
Disability, a multifaceted and evolving concept, encompasses various forms of individual impairments, including physical, sensory, cognitive, intellectual, and mental health challenges, as well as chronic illnesses. Despite being a substantial minority, disabled individuals often endure societal neglect, isolation, poverty, and dependence on charity, facing misconceptions that they are incapable of contributing to progressive tasks.
The research further examines the profound connections between Islamic teachings and the inclusion of individuals with disabilities. The Islamic faith champions high moral values and principles, with Prophet Muhammad advocating for the inclusion of people from all walks of life, regardless of their economic status, age, education, or disability. This inclusivity extends to recognizing the unique talents, gifts, and leadership abilities of disabled individuals. In Islamic societies, individuals with disabilities have historically emerged as scholars and leaders, contributing significantly to their communities.
While the Quran and the Sunnah do not explicitly address the contemporary concept of disability, Islam embraces it as a morally neutral aspect of the human condition. Disabled individuals desire respect and dignity, just like their able-bodied counterparts, and they strive to maximize the abilities bestowed upon them by Allah. This research underscores the need for society to recognize the shared responsibility in uplifting the lives of disabled individuals and the importance of respecting their rights.
In conclusion, this research not only highlights the challenges faced by disabled individuals but also underscores the profound role of society in their well-being. It emphasizes that serving humanity equates to serving God. Islam, with its historical support for the rights of disabled individuals, serves as a guiding principle for protecting the rights and dignity of all people with disabilities and illnesses
The Permissibility of Talfiq and the Continuation of Ijtihad- A Research Analysis: تلفیق کی مشروعیت اور اجتہاد کا تسلسل۔ایک تحقیقی جائزہ
Talfiq, the practice of combining legal rulings from different Islamic schools of thought, offers flexibility in addressing contemporary issues within Islamic law. This approach allows scholars to adapt to modern challenges—such as finance, bioethics, and governance—by selecting rulings from various traditions that best fit the situation. However, while Talfiq provides practical solutions, critics argue that it risks undermining the consistency and coherence of traditional jurisprudence, potentially leading to legal contradictions or "fatwa shopping."
On the other hand, Ijtihad, the process of independent legal reasoning, is fundamental for the continued evolution of Islamic law in a changing world. Ijtihad enables scholars to interpret foundational Islamic texts—the Qur'an and Sunnah—in ways that respond to new social, ethical, and technological realities. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that Islamic law remains relevant and adaptable without straying from its core principles.
In modern legal discourse, Ijtihad often involves Talfiq, as scholars combine rulings from various schools to find balanced solutions for unprecedented challenges. The interplay between these two concepts is essential for addressing the complexities of contemporary life, ensuring that Islamic jurisprudence evolves in line with new realities while maintaining its foundational integrity. Together, Talfiq and Ijtihad serve as vital mechanisms for guiding Islamic law in the modern era
