خطورة الشذوذ الجنسي المجتمعي والصحي: The Societal and Public Health Risks Associated with Homosexual Conduct
Homosexuality represents one of the most pressing and complex challenges confronting contemporary human societies, particularly within Islamic contexts. In recent decades, this phenomenon has been increasingly promoted and legitimized by international organizations and influential global powers through international conventions and national legislations. The perceived risks of this trend extend beyond individual behavior, encompassing profound societal implications, such as the erosion of the traditional family structure and the diminishing role of parental authority. Moreover, global legal frameworks often advocate for the rights and freedoms of individuals engaging in homosexual conduct, which may, in turn, contribute to the normalization of moral deviation within societies.
This article adopts an analytical and critical methodology to investigate the social and health-related harms associated with sexual deviation, particularly in Islamic societies. It seeks to address the central question: What are the societal and public health consequences posed by sexual deviation in Muslim communities?
Key findings of this study highlight several risks, including the destabilization of divinely sanctioned marriage between a man and a woman, the distortion of the innate human disposition (fitrah), the potential decline in reproduction rates, and the propagation of serious health issues such as HIV/AIDS, gonorrhea, and other sexually transmitted infections. Furthermore, the phenomenon poses a direct challenge to divine legislation, undermines the influence of religion in shaping ethical and social norms, and is perceived as a deviation from the divinely ordained path for humanity
Strategic Trust in the Skies: Sino-Pakistan Collaboration and Aerial Security in South Asia (1951–1999)
This study critically examines the evolution of China-Pakistan defense and diplomatic relations from 1951 to 1999, focusing on military technology transfer and strategic alignment. By limiting the scope to 1999, we contextualize the partnership within the Cold War’s structural constraints, avoiding the confounding variables of post-9/11 geopolitics. Utilizing scholarly insight, archival sources, and regional perspectives, it analyses how bilateral cooperation—initially driven by shared ideology and regional insecurity—matured into a strategic pact grounded in mutual trust and technological interdependence. Countering critiques that characterized Chinese military exports as outdated or opportunistic, this study argues that platforms like the F-6 (J-6), A-5 (Q-5), and later the jointly developed JF-17 effectively addressed Pakistan’s critical strategic needs, especially during periods of Western disengagement. The research integrates archival counter-narratives and scholarly discourse for a balanced and historically contextualized analysis. While acknowledging the domestic financial burdens and technical dependencies this alliance created for Pakistan, the study contends that Chinese military technology served as a vital diplomatic conduit—cementing a long-term strategic partnership and reshaping regional power dynamics. The findings underscore the enduring relevance of this historical partnership as both nations navigate contemporary geopolitical shifts in the Indo-Pacific and South Asia
Shariah Status of Premarital Medical Screening: An analytical study
Marriage holds a central place in Islamic teachings, not merely as a legal contract, but as a sacred bond that ensures the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of both spouses. In the contemporary era, the growing relevance of premarital medical screening which involves testing couples for serious health conditions such as thalassemia, HIV/AIDS, or other hereditary diseases has introduced a critical ethical and legal discourse within Islamic scholarship. This article investigates a key research question: What is the Shariah status of premarital medical screening in Islamic law? The analysis unfolds by presenting the Islamic juristic principles regarding health and harm prevention, drawing on Qur’anic texts, Prophetic traditions, and juristic maxims, followed by a comparative study of the four Sunni legal schools (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) particularly on the topic of annulment due to health related causes. The research also presents scholarly opinions ranging from permissibility to impermissibility and necessity. While some scholars object on grounds of privacy or personal liberty, the majority support permissibility especially for life threatening conditions based on the principles of ḥifẓ al-nafs (preservation of life) and darʾ al-mafāsid (prevention of harm). However, mandating the tests remains a subject of debate, with many jurists cautioning against turning what is Islamically permissible into a compulsory legal obligation without consensus. The study concludes that premarital medical screening, while not religiously obligatory, is Shariah compliant and advisable for the sake of protecting human life and ensuring marital harmony, provided that it respects ethical and legal boundaries
"دور السياق في استكشاف الأبعاد الدلالية لفاعل الفعل 'قال' ومشتقاته في سورة الكهف" (دراسة دلالية) : The Role of Context in Exploring the Semantic Dimensions of the Subject of the Verb Qāla and Its Derivatives in Surah al-Kahf (A Semantic Study)
The Noble Qur’an is the divine book of Allah, illuminating minds and guiding hearts with its inimitable structure, profound meanings, and eloquent style. Among the prominent linguistic features it employs in presenting events and conveying dialogue are verbal expressions particularly the verb qāla (“he said”) and its derivatives which appear frequently in narrative contexts. Surah al-Kahf offers a rich example of such dialogic complexity, where the speaker may be explicitly stated or left implicit, raising a central semantic question: who is speaking? This study investigates the semantic role of context in identifying the subject of qāla in Surah al-Kahf, arguing that context is not a secondary element but a key interpretive tool for uncovering meaning and determining speaker identity. Using a semantic-analytical approach, the research examines how the presence or omission of the subject affects understanding of the verse. The study is structured into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion: the first chapter focuses on singular subjects-explicit and implicit-while the second addresses non-singular ones, with analytical insights provided throughout. The conclusion summarizes the main findings and emphasizes the significance of contextual analysis in Qur’anic interpretation
Teacher as Architect of Self-Esteem: Perceptions of Elementary School Students in Islamabad, Pakistan
This study examines elementary students' perceptions regarding teachers’ roles in fostering self-esteem, with a particular focus on how educators' attitudes influence students' psychological well-being. Under the positivist paradigm cross cross-sectional survey research was conducted. The study sample was selected by employing a simple random sampling approach, and 400 elementary-grade students were selected as the sample. A self-developed validated questionnaire was used for data collection, and the dependability of the results was guaranteed by the instrument's good internal consistency (α = 0.83). The survey shows a strong teacher-student rapport, with 82% feeling valued and 76% recognized. Yet, lower scores in active listening (62%) and acknowledging aspirations (66%) suggest areas for growth. These results emphasize how instructors' attitudes and actions have a significant effect on students' academic and psychological growth, underscoring the need for positive teacher-student relationships. Current research adds to the larger conversation about teacher influence in elementary school education settings by providing insightful information about the formative role of educators in fostering self-esteem in elementary school education. Recommendations include in-service training on empathetic communication, culturally appropriate student feedback systems, and regular teacher-student check-ins to address individual needs in Pakistan's diverse classrooms
A Critical Analysis of Unique Interpretations in the Tafsir Jawahir al-Qur'an: تفسیر جواہر القرآن میں تفسیری تفردات کا تنقیدی جائزہ
With the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, the science of Tafsir (Qur’anic exegesis) was started. In some cases, certain verses were explained by other verses "himself provided interpretations of various verses, and these explanations are documented in the books of Hadith, particularly in the section known as "Kitab al-Tafsir". After the Prophet [ ﷺ], this scholarly tradition continued through the Companions (Sahabah), the Followers (Tabi’in), and their successors (Taba’ Tabi’in), extending all the way into the fifteenth century Hijri. Even today, scholars across the globe continue to write Qur'anic commentaries in various languages.
Within this vast literature, commentators often differ in their interpretations and reasoning, resulting in a variety of perspectives. At times, some interpretations even deviate significantly from the mainstream views of the majority of scholars and the traditional Sunni school of thought. These unique interpretations are known as "taffurrud" (individual opinions). In the modern era, several exegetes are known for their distinctive views. One such notable figure is "Shaykh al-Qur’an" Maulana Ghulamullah Khan, who compiled the teachings of his mentor, Maulana Hussain Ali. This compilation was later edited and published by Maulana Ahmad Sajad Bukhari under the title "Jawahir al-Qur’an".
The work consists of three large volumes, including an eighty-page preface explaining the methodology and terminology, totaling 1483 pages. Upon publication, the tafsir faced strong criticism. The author of this commentary was deeply devoted to the message of Tawheed (monotheism), and thus, his tafsir openly and fearlessly addresses issues such as shirk (polytheism), bidah (religious innovations), divinity, offerings and vows, intercession, hearing of the dead, knowledge of the unseen, and similar theological matters. Besides these secondary issues, the commentator frequently adopted an approach distinct from the majority of classical exegetes
A Comparative Analysis of Christian and Muslim Perspectives on Impact of Religion on Students
Curriculum is a way to determine the destination of a nation. One cannot reach his/her goal without its peculiar way. Those who do not define directions of life they do not have any purpose for their lives. It is an admitted fact that curriculum plays vital role in the foundation of a nation. Nation is divided into sects and factions and eventually wipe out from the surface of earth in the absence of a well-defined and productive curriculum that reflects the purpose and goal of existence. Unfortunately, we have many curriculums in our country that is causing division and gap among the people because of different mindsets exist in almost every walk of life. The adherents of every curriculum have their own traditions, life style and code of life. Instead of establishing a culturally vibrant and religiously diversified society, people are unable to engage in such activities that can lead to establishing a society based on the golden principles of peace, cooperation, fraternity and harmony. A uniform curriculum can unify the scattered forces and divided factions. The paper is an effort to explain certain thoughts and theories of such prominent western sociologist, anthropologist, psychologists and phenomenologist scholars regarding religion and its role in students’ grooming. The paper will present a comparative analysis of Islamic and Western perspectives of religion, point out the misconceptions of other scholars regarding religion and analyze impacts of both theories on our students when they have taught in the curriculum of our universities
The Role of Filial Piety in Shaping Society: A Comparative Study of Confucian and Islamic Thought
Filial piety is a deeply rooted ethical and spiritual value in both Confucian and Islamic traditions, shaping how individuals relate to their parents and, more broadly, to society. This paper offers a comparative exploration of filial piety as presented in two foundational texts: The Analects of Confucius (论语Lunyu) and the Qur’an. Focusing on themes such as respect and obedience, compassion for aging parents, the role of filial duty in moral development, emotional sincerity, ethical boundaries of obedience, and ritual expressions of reverence, the study examines how each tradition defines and practices filial responsibility.
While Islam and Confucianism share a profound respect for parents and view filial piety as essential to family and social harmony, they differ in significant ways. In Islam, filial piety is a religious obligation, firmly grounded in divine revelation and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Confucianism, on the other hand, frames filial piety as a philosophical and social principle tied to the maintenance of order and hierarchy. The practice of ancestor veneration, which is central to Confucian tradition, contrasts sharply with Islamic teachings, which emphasize monotheism and discourage such rituals. By examining both the similarities and the differences in these two traditions, this study aims to foster deeper cross-cultural understanding and appreciation for the diverse ways in which families and moral values are shaped across civilizations
