    No full text
Since management support (MS) influence all facets of the organizations, the current research explores the moderation of MS on employee compensation, training and development (T&D), recruitment and selection (R&S), succession planning (SP), performance appraisal (PA) and employee performance (EP) in banking industry of Thailand. The survey method was cross-sectional where data from 350 employees were collected in Thai banking industry. For testing the study hypotheses, partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) technique has been used. Four direct hypothesized relationships were supported, whereas hypothesis seven and hypothesis nine was also supported with moderation. The results indicate that T&D, R&S, SP and PA are positive and strong predictors of EP and MS plays as a moderating role in employee compensation, T&D and EP relationship. It ensures that MS strengthens the important relationships of human resource management (HRM) practices. Suggestions and limitations are also discussed for future studies

قیام امن میں تصور خیر کا کردار: تعلیمات نبوی کی روشنی میں: The Role of the Concept of Goodness in Establishing Peace: In the Light of the Teachings of the Prophet (PBUH)

    No full text
The philosophy of good and evil exists in every religion and ideology. In some traditions, they are considered two separate forces, while in others, both are claimed to be powerful deities. This philosophy serves as the basis for discussions on the aspects of good and evil present in society. It also plays a crucial role in societal and moral development. Whether viewed from a worldly perspective or in terms of the hereafter, the philosophy of good and evil has a profound influence. Islam, too, presents the concept of good and evil. It emphasizes character-building by making individuals aware of the consequences of good and evil—encouraging them to face the outcomes of good with goodness and the results of evil with its corresponding consequences. In the mentioned hadith, the Holy Prophets ﷺ adopted a beautiful approach to spreading goodness and uttered supplicatory and commendatory words for those through whom Allah spreads goodness. This paper builds upon this idea to analyze the role of personalities and authorities in establishing peace, focusing on their moral conduct, responsible and irresponsible behaviour, and both positive and negative attitudes. The study aims to enhance understanding of Islam’s concept of good and evil and contribute to societal welfare and public peace. An analytical methodology has been employed for this paper. In the conclusion, key findings and recommendations are systematically presented

    No full text
The Urdu short story is one of the most prominent literary genres that reflect both individual and societal concerns at local and global levels. It has played a significant role in presenting and addressing numerous political, social, cultural, religious, and economic issues. The Kashmir issue, as a case in point, has captured the attention of many Urdu short-story writers, who devoted significant space to it in their works and explored it through diverse and creative approaches. Kashmir remains one of the most complex contemporary issues, particularly in light of the atrocities, extermination campaigns, and human-rights violations endured by Kashmiri Muslims since the British withdrawal from the Indian subcontinent in 1947. These violations still continue to the present day at the hands of Hindu extremists motivated by hostility toward Islam and Muslims. This study examines seven short stories that portray the experiences of Kashmiri women, highlighting both their suffering and their struggle from 1947 through the end of the twentieth century. In selecting these stories, careful attention was given to ensuring diversity in authorship, thematic focus, and temporal coverage, thereby providing a comprehensive view of the literary representation of Kashmiri women’s realities

    No full text
With rising environmental challenges, organizations have been turning to green human resource management (HRM) as a means of encouraging employee behaviors that would increase sustainability. Based on Resource-Based View (RBV), Social Exchange Theory (SET), and Social Identity Theory (SIT), the paper analyses the impact of Green HRM practices on employee environmental performance within the banking industry in Southern Punjab, Pakistan with reference to HBL, NBP, BOP, UBL, and Meezan Bank Limited. The paper also examines the parallel mediating effects of green psychological climate and environmental commitment in the relationship between green HRM practices and employee environmental performance. Based on a cross-sectional survey, data were collected from 387 respective bank employees using convenience sampling technique. The collected data used to test seven hypotheses using structural equation modeling (SEM) in AMOS with five direct effects and two mediating effects. The results affirm that green HRM practices significantly impacts green psychological climate, environmental commitment, and employee environmental performance, and also both mediators help to transmit the effect of Green HRM practices on environmental performance positively. The study adds to theory by combining cognitive (climate) and attitudinal (commitment) processes to the research of Green HRM and to provide practical advice to banks in Southern Punjab to develop HR initiatives that reinforce sustainable behavior and environmental performance

Monetary and Fiscal Policy Coordination in an Age of Persistent Inflation, Rising Public Debt, and Global Economic Uncertainty

    No full text
The recent resurgence of inflation combined with unprecedented amounts of government debt and the increased economic uncertainty in the world has rekindled the discussion regarding the need and success of coordinating monetary-fiscal policies. This paper analyses the reflective play of both monetary and fiscal policy measures in the United States between 2000Q1 and 2024Q4 using a multifaceted econometric model that combines Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds test, error correction modeling (ECM), and Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) models. This study examines long-run equilibrium relations and short-run dynamic adjustments of the policy variables by using quarterly data on the variables in terms of inflation, policy interest rates, money supply, government spending, fiscal deficit, government debt, GDP growth, and the Global Economic Policy Uncertainty Index. The output of this sutdy’s ARDL model shows that there is a strong long-term cointegration of policy tools, and the error correction term shows that it implies that it has an adjustment speed of about 42 percent per quarter to the equilibrium. The SVAR analysis shows that fiscal shocks have more long-lasting effects on inflation than monetary shocks in times of great uncertainty and there is less effectiveness in monetary policy reactions in times when the debt of the country reaches critical levels. The functions of impulse response reactions reveal that coordinated policy responses lower the volatility of inflation by 35 percent in comparison to uncoordinated actions. Analysis of variance decomposition indicates that fiscal policy shocks can account for 28 percent of inflation fluctuations at longer run which is significantly greater than before recorded. These results indicate that the conventional monetary dominance paradigm needs to be re-adjusted in modern high-debt, high-uncertainty settings, with consequences of independence of central banks and fiscal sustainability

Contesting Citizenship: Hindutva, the CAA, and Minority Communities in India

    No full text
Hindutva is an ultra-nationalist philosophy grounded in Hindu religion and mythology, has gained significant traction in India that poses challenges for religious minorities. These religious minorities include particularly several of them but mainly Muslims, Christians and Sikhs. While India has historically supported secularism, the rise of Hindutva has raised concerns about the erosion of religious freedom and equality. The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) of 2019 by the Modi regime accelerated citizenship for non- Muslim refugees from neighbouring countries is widely criticized for institutionalising religious discrimination. In this context this study examines the impact of Hindutva ideology and the CAA on minority communities in India. It tries to trace the historical evolution and its political manifestation through Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The analysis is based on qualitative content examination of academic literature, legal documents, media reporting, and selected case events. It critically assesses societal challenges posed by the CAA, highlighting its implications for India’s secular framework and democratic values. Findings indicate that there is a substantial shift toward majoritarianism, raising concerns about the future of minority rights and social cohesion. This research aids to the broader discourse on nationalism, religion, and politics in contemporary India, offering insights into the intersections of power, identity and governance in a pluralistic society. Keywords: Hindutva, Moditva, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Minority Communities
