This study combines the internal components of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with variables including awareness, influencers, training modalities, and technology to measure research scholars' acceptance of electronic resources. Data were gathered from postgraduate students at three public universities in South Punjab, Pakistan, using a cross-sectional survey. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling (SmartPLS v4.1.1.2) was employed. The results of our study showed that the adoption of e-resources is significantly influenced by external factors when the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is considered. All of the study's hypotheses were validated, and the results showed that behavioral intention to utilize e-resources is positively correlated with awareness, training, influencers, and technology, which all significantly impact perceived ease of use. This study will make a substantial contribution to the literature from developing nations and will be beneficial for librarians, developers, policymakers, HEC officials, and university libraries when designing e-resources to increase their acceptance

Smallpox, an epidemic disease with unknown origins, first appeared around 10,000 BCE in Indian subcontinent or north eastern Africa. It spread to Europe and the Islamic world, causing significant death, particularly for children. European explorers brought it to the Americas, causing disastrous consequences. It is great contribution to comprehend the revealed book of Allah, such kind of narrations are called exegesis   of holy Quran. There are few narrators whom adopt the coherence aptitude in Quran, in a simple and brief way they had claimed that qur’anic chapters as well as verses are mutually connected. This kind of contact is named as”NAZAME QURAN Obaidullah Sindhi, a renowned thinker and scholar of the Quran, particularly highlighting his contributions through his student, Molana Abdullah Laghari, who compiled his exegesis into Tafseer Al-Maqam Ul-Mehmood. Let's break down the key points you have listed: Every Surah has a Basic Claim: According to Molana Obaidullah Sindhi, each surah (chapter) of the Quran has a central theme or claim, and all verses within that surah support or elaborate upon that core theme. Tauheed as the Principal Commandment: One of the most fundamental teachings in the Quran is the concept of Tauheed — the oneness of God. Molana Sindhi emphasizes that this principle runs throughout the Quran, underscoring the monotheistic nature of Islamic belief. Coherence as the Miracle of the Quran: Sindhi highlights the coherence of the Quran as its miracle. Despite being revealed over a span of 23 years and in various contexts, the Quran maintains a consistent message and inner harmony. This coherence is seen as one of the miraculous aspects of the Quran. Connection of Surahs Like Pearls: Each surah is not isolated but is connected to others, forming a seamless narrative, like pearls strung together on a thread. This reflects the intricate and harmonious structure of the Quran. Quran as a Sermon Style Book: Molana Sindhi posits that the Quran is written in a sermon-like style rather than a purely formal or academic manner. This style is designed to speak directly to the hearts and minds of its readers, conveying guidance in a manner that is engaging and practical. These interpretations of the Quran offer deep insights into how the Quran is structured and its thematic emphasis.

The Impact of Agroecological Zones on Sustainable Agriculture: A Case Study of Pakistan

    No full text
Objective: This paper's objective is to estimate the Sustainable Agriculture Index (SAI) to quantify sustainable agriculture through net revenue per hectare of each crop. It examines how economic, social, and environmental indicators are interrelated with this SAI index. Another objective is to determine the most efficient crop under agroecological zones to obtain sustainable agriculture. Research Gap: Few researchers have examined sustainable agriculture adopting economic, social, and environmental indicators in 10 agroecological zones, distributed across districts in Pakistan. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study will gauge SAI and will use the LSDV model to estimate the association between SAI and economic, social, and environmental indicators across 18 districts of three provinces, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. The Main Findings: Results find wheat crop is somewhat sustainable to produce in Pakistan’s districts but some important social variables like Tapwater, and BHUBeds are insignificant with the wheat SAI index. Similarly, rice, cotton, sugarcane, and jawar crops are not sustainable to grow in any district. Theoretical / Practical Implications of the Findings: The farmers should adapt to climate change and use organic manure, green manure, mulching, and cropping rotation. Floods and drought water-resistant seeds and enhanced water conservation and storage techniques are some of the good techniques to adopt in agroecological zones for sustainable farming. Originality/Value: The research paper is based on the author's own original research and contributes towards policy choice in the agriculture sector and favours small farmers to support new farming with innovation and new technology

Objective: The goal of this study was to create and evaluate a conceptual framework for better understanding the elements that influence customers' willingness to pay and actual purchase behavior regarding green products. The specific objective was to evaluate the elements that affect a consumer's willingness to pay for green goods in Faisalabad. Research Gap: While global research on green consumer behavior and willingness to pay is extensive, there is a significant lack of empirical studies in developing countries like Pakistan. Moreover, no prior study has focused on Faisalabad—a rapidly growing industrial city with unique environmental challenges. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study employed a quantitative approach through a structured questionnaire administered to 250 residents of Faisalabad using multistage sampling and OLS (ordinary least square) regression and logistic regression have been used for analysis of data. The Main Findings: Results show that people with older age, higher education and higher income have higher willingness to pay for the green products. Trust on commercial entities, environmental ethics and health consciousness are other major factors that determine consumer’s willingness to buy the green products. Theoretical / Practical Implications of the Findings: The findings contribute theoretically by validating the role of psychological variables especially green trust and environmental ethics in predicting environmentally responsible consumption. Practically, the results highlight the importance of targeting educated and higher-income groups in green marketing campaigns. Policymakers can also benefit from insights suggesting consumer support for environmental taxation, particularly in urban areas, which can guide environmental regulation and awareness programs. Originality/Value: This study is the first of its kind conducted in Faisalabad, Pakistan, providing original empirical evidence on consumer behavior towards green products in a developing economy
