Contemporary Models of Governance Integrating Sharia and State: A Comparative Study
The article explores how Islamic governance integrates Shariah principles with state systems, beginning with historical examples from the leadership of Prophets Ibrahim (A.S.), Musa (A.S.), and Muhammad (PBUH). Each of these prophets demonstrated not only spiritual but also political leadership based on justice, monotheism, and divine law. Prophet Ibrahim’s governance focused on truth, social reform, and submission to God’s will. Prophet Musa’s leadership involved confronting tyranny, implementing divine commandments, and establishing a consultative system of justice. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) laid the foundation of an Islamic state in Medina through treaties, social harmony (Muakhaat), and the Constitution of Medina, promoting justice, tolerance, and unity. The article then reviews how modern Muslim countries apply Shariah today. In Pakistan, Islamic principles are constitutionally embedded, with institutions like the Federal Shariat Court and Islamic Ideology Council guiding law-making. Iran follows the theocratic model of Wilayat al-Faqih, while Saudi Arabia uses Hanbali jurisprudence as the foundation of governance. Other countries like *Sudan, Malaysia, Afghanistan, and Brunei implement Shariah to varying degrees in legal and social matters. The article concludes by highlighting non-prophetic but Islamic leadership models (e.g., Khilafat), emphasizing justice, consultation, and moral integrity, drawing on the legacy of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and classical scholars like Al-Mawardi

Socio-Cultural Constraints to Women's Empowerment
Women's empowerment is an important global objective, and it is connected with sustainable development, inclusive governance, and human rights. The key dimension to this is political empowerment: women's opportunity to participate equally in leadership, decision-making and policy formulation. On a global level, there has been much progress made. However, there are still many challenges facing some countries, such as Pakistan; socio-cultural dynamics play a huge part in affecting gender equality. Patriarchal norms, traditional practices and religious interpretation shape Pakistan's socio-cultural landscape in a way that debilitates women. Honour culture, limited mobility and deep-seated gender roles inhibit women's participation in political processes. The social barriers, such as educational disparities, economic dependence, and political violence, intensify this exclusion. These barriers work together to create an insurmountable obstacle to significant women's representation in governance and, consequently, to democratic progress. In Pakistani politics, this article examines barriers to women's participation and leadership. It also looks at successful case studies, grassroots movements, and voting participation over time as evidence of progress in facing challenges. According to the article, systemic reforms are essential to make such reforms effective, from strengthening gender quotas to preventing political violence to creating a welcoming political environment. Gender equality as a priority can lead to Pakistan having more excellent political representation and moving the country in a direction that carries the daydreams of a democratic and forward Pakistan
Personal Information Sharing Behavior Using Social Media: A Bibliometric Analysis from 2007-2024
This study explores personal information sharing behavior publication patterns and trends on social media from 2007-2024 with an aim to highlight the annual growth of personal information sharing behavior (PISB) on social media platforms, key patterns in the PISB literature in terms of frequently cited authors, countries, institutions, sources, highly cited papers, collaboration and authorship patterns, thematic evolution, keyword and key factor analysis (such as countries, sources, and keywords). We used Scopus database for data extraction, and 1020 pertinent records were chosen. The data was evaluated with Microsoft Excel, Access, Biblioshiny and VOSviewer software. The United States of America is leading in a top authors, organizations and as a country on PISB literature. This authorship pattern trends revealed that the authors on PISB literature prefer to work with two, three, four or as a single author and they give low preference to work with more than four authors. The country-level collaboration trend revealed that the collaboration between United States and China are the most frequently occurring among the rest of other countries. Thematic evolution identified that some themes become obsolete, and some emerge with the passage of time. However, notably, the recent period (2021-2024) is mainly connected with various social media issues and challenges. The three-factor (keywords, countries and sources) revealed that the researchers of top countries used mostly six keywords (self-disclosure, social media, privacy, Facebook, social networking sites, and social support) and they preferably published in two major sources. This finding shows that the authors from the top ten countries mainly published their work in highly selected journals
Measure the Relationship between Instructional Leadership and Professional Development of Teachers
Instructional leadership is a key component in fostering teachers’ professional development and enhancing student learning outcomes. Good leadership fosters a supportive learning environment in schools that promotes ongoing professional growth of teachers and creative teaching practices. The purpose of the study was to measure the relationship between instructional leadership and professional development of teachers. A correlational research design was used to measure the relationship. A multistage sampling process was used to select the sample. The sample of the study was 1214 public secondary school teachers. Data were collected through two valid and reliable instruments. Instructional Leadership Questionnaire (ILQ) developed by Akram et al. (2017) with the overall reliability values ranged from 0.78 to 0.87. The Self-Professional Development Questionnaire (SPDQ) developed by the researcher with a five-point Likert scale. The reliability values ranged from 0.90 to 0.85 with 37 items. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis. Findings disclosed that instructional leadership showed strong positive correlation with professional development (r = .755, p < .01). The R-value of 0.767 indicates a moderate to strong correlation between the variables, and the R² value of 0.573 suggests that approximately 58.8% of the variance in PD can be explained by IL. Overall, these results indicate a significant positive relationship between IL and PD, with IL explaining a substantial portion of the variation in PD. These findings will contribute to the previous literature. This study indicates practical implications for school and district administration; they can improve teachers’ professional growth by prioritizing the best performance of instructional leaders

وائل حلاق کا قرآنی قانون سازی پر مطالعہ : A Study of Wāel Hallaq on Quranic Legislation
In the modern era of intellectual evolution and legal expansion, Islamic law has increasingly garnered scholarly attention, particularly its foundational relationship with the Qur’an. Orientalists have often critiqued the Qur’an's legal role, questioning the coherence, compilation, and legislative nature of its verses. Wāel Ḥallāq emerges as a prominent contemporary voice countering both traditional Muslim narratives and Western academic critiques. He proposes a "third way" of understanding Islamic law—one that respects the Qur’anic textual sanctity while applying critical scholarly inquiry.
Ḥallāq asserts that the Qur’an was considered a source of law even during the early Meccan period, challenging the Orientalist claim that its legal function developed only after Hijra. While acknowledging that the Qur’an contains a relatively limited number of strictly legal verses (approximately 500), he emphasizes that its broader ethical and societal directives carry significant legal implications. His study highlights that Qur’anic legislation was inherently intertwined with evolving social realities, aiming for a balanced, principled transformation rather than abrupt structural disruption.
This paper critically examines how Ḥallāq addresses misconceptions about Qur’anic legislation, especially in comparison to Orientalist narratives, and explores the methodological framework of his "third way." It further analyzes the Qur’an’s legal verses across domains such as inheritance, contracts, marriage, punishment, and governance—demonstrating that Islamic law is deeply rooted in divine revelation while remaining flexible to contextual interpretation. Ultimately, Ḥallāq’s contribution affirms the Qur’an as both a moral and legal guide, transcending simplistic dichotomies.

سوشل میڈیا کے ازدواجی زندگی پر اثرات: تعلیمات نبوی ﷺ کی روشنی میں تحقیقی جائزہ : The Effects of Social Media on Marital Life: A Research Review in the Light of the Teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
This research explores the dual impact of social media on marital relationships through the lens of Prophetic teachings. While social media is often seen as a modern communication tool, its influence on family dynamics, particularly between spouses, is profound and multifaceted. On the positive side, the study highlights how social media facilitates easier communication between spouses, enhances joint participation in religious activities, and provides tools for effective parenting and child monitoring. It also supports marital planning and decision-making by enabling quicker and more accessible consultation. However, the research equally emphasizes the negative repercussions, such as the excessive consumption of time, increased marital disputes, and rising levels of suspicion and mistrust. It also draws attention to the psychological strain and emotional distance that can result from prolonged social media use. The study employs a qualitative methodology, referencing Hadiths that provide ethical guidelines for maintaining trust, transparency, and compassion within marriage. By analyzing these effects within the framework of Prophetic teachings, the research offers a balanced perspective, proposing practical solutions to mitigate harms and maximize the benefits of social media use in marital life. The paper advocates for conscious, moderate, and ethically guided use of digital platforms to preserve the sanctity and harmony of marital relationships
