    No full text
Objective: This research serves as a preliminary study to outline the framework and projection of ethnomathematics studies, particularly concerning the integration of ethnomathematics into mathematics curriculum and the development of mathematics learning objectives using an ethnomathematical approach. Method: The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology involving identifying, evaluating, and interpreting relevant literature on the research topic. Results:  The findings reveal that the ethnomathematical approach effectively enhances students' understanding of mathematics. Students exhibit higher motivation and satisfaction with mathematics learning when connected to their local culture. Novelty: This research shows that the ethnomathematics approach facilitates the development of teachers' competencies in integrating cultural elements into mathematics education. Both teachers' recommendations and research findings support the inclusion of ethnomathematics in mathematics curricula both directly in developing learning tools and materials and in curriculum policies. Additionally, there is potential for technology applications to support ethnomathematics learning, enabling students to study mathematics independently. In conclusion, integrating ethnomathematics holds significant potential in improving students' mathematical understanding, connecting mathematics with local culture, and motivating students to learn mathematics more enjoyable and relevantly

Objective: This research is to find out whether ethnomathematics in the Angkola Batak culture can be used in mathematics learning, and it seeks to know which cultural artifact or philosophy of ethnomathematics is more widely used in learning. Method: This research is a literature review by collecting metadata through the PRISMA model. Articles from Google Scholar from 2018 to 2023 were collected with the help of Publish and Perish. This methodology consists of well-defined review stages, eligibility criteria developed and explained from information sources, a literature search strategy, a literature selection process, and data synthesis based on the literature. Results:  Of the 14 articles used as research samples, there were four articles each for elementary school (ES) and junior high school (JHS), meaning ethnomathematics is more suitable for use at elementary and middle school levels. Using cultural artifacts as a learning medium is more common than using philosophy from that culture. Novelty: This research produces information that learning using ethnomathematics is more suitable for children with a semi-concrete learning level. &nbsp

    No full text
Objective: This research aims to understand and analyze content related to implementing an internal quality assurance system based on eight national education standards in Vocational High Schools (VHS) with CIPP model evaluation metrics. The evaluation was conducted to see the results of implementing the internal quality assurance system in vocational schools by eight national education standards. Methods: The type of research used is evaluation research. In this research, researchers used quantitative methods with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model developed by Stufflebeam. The population in this research is the academic community of VHS Sunan Giri Menganti Gresik, which knows and understands the implementation of the internal quality assurance system (IQAS). Based on existing data, the population in this study was 72 people, including the school principal, curriculum leader, teacher council, education staff, and head of the school quality assurance team. Result: IQAS provides services by eight National Education Standards (SNP) to exceed the expectations of educational service users. School Self-Evaluation (EDS) describes the quality and produced information processed using government information systems. This mutual mapping is explained to identify areas of improvement using the IQAS Vocational School Transformation guide. Novelty: Implementing the quality assurance system in model schools and its impact is carried out through four stages: Setting Standards, Fulfilling Standards, Continuous Evaluation, and Quality Improvement. Decentralization of education encourages school autonomy to improve the quality of institutions and their graduates with strategies such as school reviews, benchmarking, quality assurance, and quality control
