    No full text
International audienceThe review presented here is not intended to be a summary of a completed project, but rather to recognise the potential and research prospects of a corpus of over 40 sites that have provided data on Late Antiquity. The rapid re-examination of ceramics from the ancient collections has renewed the chronological attribution of occupations and enabled the identification of products consumed, some of which were previously unsuspected. The building of the city walls in the centre of the Early Roman town, around 300 AD, partly on the decumanus and cardo, led to major changes in the urban structure. The topography of the city clearly separated it into two areas. A possible fortified area on the top of the plateau would have housed the organs of civil or military power, while the rest of the city occupied the lower part of the enclosure. Outside the walls, the main east-west axis continued to run through the walled town and the bridge, which was the only way to cross the Charente and serve the area. Occupation outside the walls did not disappear, with a few sectors remaining to the north of the town and on the other bank of the river. New necropolises, in which the first churches appeared, were established outside the walls. The amphitheatre appears to be the only public monument built in the Early Empire that was still in use in Late Antiquity, when it lay outside the city walls.

International audienceArchaeological evidence shows the transformation of Sens/Senones and Troyes/Tricasas during Late Antiquity. The urban area shrank in the second half of the 3rd century AD and both cities had a city wall by the middle of the 4th century AD. The fortifications do not seem to constitute a clear urban limit in the 4th century AD, the distribution of finds suggesting the coexistence of extra muros settlements developing along roads exiting the city wall. Small finds from Sens suggest a strong presence of the militia intra muros, which could explain the presence of extra muros districts in the 4th and early 5th centuries AD.Les données de l’archéologie montrent la transformation de Sens/Senones (Yonne) et de Troyes/Tricasas (Aube) durant l’Antiquité tardive. J.-C

International audienceIntroduction: The health benefits of breastfeeding for premature infants are clear, including improved postnatal growth, but the underlying mechanisms remain complex due to the rich composition of breast milk. Objective: To explore the interaction between breast milk nutrients, its microbiological components, and its level of exposure to environmental chemicals in relation to the growth of premature infants. Patients/Methods: In the prospective LACTACOL cohort (NCT014930), Z-scores for discharge weight and lean mass were measured in 137 exclusively breastfed premature infants. Breast milk was analyzed to characterize the nutriome, using targeted (amino acids and fatty acids and derivatives) and untargeted (lipidome) approaches, the exposome (persistent organic pollutants, POPs), and the microbiome (16s rRNA sequencing). A correlation analysis between the three components of breast milk followed by an e-learning analysis identified the molecular determinants of early growth in children. Results: Nutriome appeared to be the main contributor to postnatal growth in premature infants. Choline-containing lipids (sphingolipids, phosphatidylcholines, and plasmalogens) contributed positively to weight Z-score. Nervonic acid-enriched sphingomyelin was positively associated with lean mass Z-score, in contrast to oxylipins. The exposome showed complex effects: the dioxin-like compound 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD had a negative impact on weight, while polychlorinated biphenyl 123 positively influenced weight and lean mass gain. Brominated flame retardants were associated with a decrease in lean mass Z-score. Despite a minor impact, the microbiome varied with POP levels and postnatal growth tertiles, highlighting co-dependencies between milk components. Conclusions: This pilot study provides new evidence on the interaction of the nutriome, exposome, and microbiome of breast milk and their joint influence on the early development of premature infants

International audienceThis article presents the database of Planimetric Archaeological Features (FAP), developed using QGIS as part of the PARCEDES project funded by the ANR. The aim is to integrate all discoveries of ditches, road segments, palisades, etc., within the framework of preventive archaeological operations carried out in southern Vendée and the plain of Nîmes. The database is populated with alphanumeric data extracted from excavation reports and planimetric data from both paper and digital maps. The article outlines the upstream decisions made concerning the definition of entities, the structure of the database, the choice of software, and data formats. It then offers a preliminary feedback from the Vendée case study followed by that of Nîmes, before concluding with the analytical possibilities opened up by the tool. This database thus aims to serve as a harmonization tool for the collection of archaeological data on ancient planimetric features, promoting a better understanding of historical agrarian systems.
